I have been taking 40mg of red clover for just over a week and my hot flashes which were uncomfortable and fairly consistent through the day and were disturbing my sleep too, have all but vanished. Also I was experiencing some anxiety and that is pretty much gone too. I do not like pill popping but the benefits here are so worth it.

Does anybody have any experience using red clover for skin issues? Any input would be greatly helpful. I have had a problem the past few yrs and drs do not want to take me seriously until its to late and I end up being hospitalized and having to have surgerys. I have been hospitalized 3 times and 2 of them times had to have surgery. I have had this problem several other times but thankfully didnt ...

I grew up in the light 60s and 70s. So there's a lot of experimenting with things I shouldn't after I quit. I was sick, and doctors couldn't figure out why. And the friend went to Canada and brought back the red clover blossomed tea and told us how to do a 3 day fast. Only drinking the tea after that, i'd never felt better. So I find The Red clover's an excellent way t of detox your Body. The limp nodes the kidney delivers. I'm just cleanses the whole system and I didn't eat during the 3 day fast. I just drank the tea this wonderful.Read More Read Less

I have been taking red clover supplements for two years now ever since I went into menopause. I suffer no hot flushes, night sweats, sleeplessness. I am thoroughly convinced that red clover's natural phyto-oestrogen is preventing these debilitating symptoms. I have never had any side effects from taking red clover either. For as long as I think it is working for me, I shall keep taking and recommending it to others.

The only thing for hot flushes that actually works, and I have tried every supplement over the last year, Red Clover, I had particularly bad hot flushes day and night which were making life more than difficult, should of tried it long before instead of wasting time on all the other expensive supplements.

I LOVE red clover! I'm 49 and peri menopausal. Very very bad hot flashes and horrible night sweats. Anxiety, insomnia, brain fog, low energy, nausea...the list goes on. I was on bio identical hormones for 3 years and what a roller coaster ride! In my case... they was not effective. I tried chinese medicine and acupuncture ..no relief either. My miracle was using red clover. It took 5 weeks to kick in and soon things were improving one day at a time. 3 months on red clover and I went from barely functioning to almost back to my old self. I cut the 80mg pill in half, taking in the morning and then the other half in the evening before bed. Within a week I was consuming teas in the evening and staying hydrated for the evening. I previously would fast on fluids to avoid all night long frequent urination. Now I visit once or twice a night because I retain fluids better and without discomfort. I recommend this pill for males enlarged prostate . Hasn't Feminized me!

I was experiencing frequent hot flushes. I am a professional pianist and during a hot flush I often found it difficult to function at a high level. I found Promensil worked well for me in reducing the occurrences and severity of hot flushes to near zero. I am continuing to take Promensil to maintain my whole functioning.

I began using red clover four years ago.. Hoping it would help my circulation. I go herbal as much as I can so I grow my own clover, chemical free.. I also use it for coughs and it's anticoagulant properties.. It makes a great cough syrup.. My recipe is much the same as the one here except I add 1/2 cup yellow onion, chopped fine and carmelized.. My grandmother pulled me through whooping cough with it.. I also notice that I have greater tolerance to hot and cold weather, which is a big problem for me..Read More Read Less

Taking Red Clover completely stopped the hot flashes that were beginning to happen regularly. I complained to my friend who suggested Red Clover. The hot flashes stopped. It took about a week to build up in my system.

This has certainly worked for me. It reduces the night sweats (which interrupted my sleep), reduces mood swings (which were dreadful) and reduces anxiety (really dreadful). I did get some spotting but a small price to pay for feeling normal/human again. I never knew menopause could be so debilitating! No wonder so many marriages fail when women are in their mid 40s to mid 50s. It's shocking how little support we get. Some women are very lucky (like a friend of mine) and just have a few mild hot flushes. I think if you are a woman who suffered from PMS then you are going to have problems in menopause too. I think it's the brain's sensitivity to hormonal changes. Seriously think about Red Clover. To the person here who found it made her nauseous, take it with your main meal. I take Menopace Red Clover by Vitabiotics (no connection to company) which I think has a sensible dose. I know this works as stopped it for a few months (my own idea) as I had to have a general anaesthetic. I thought I would be ok without the Red Clover as I seemed to be ok but soon the sweats, anxiety and mood swings came back again, driving my husband round the bend - he is unbelievably patient! I'm back on it again and won't ever come off it but it is a shame that my body - or rather brain - cannot manage without oestrogen (or a phyto-oestrogen equivalent) and that I have to take a supplement for the rest of my life in order to be 'normal'.Read More Read Less

i have to disagree also with the information on the first page...i have been taking promensil red clover 40mg tablets since 2006...i was high risk of breast cancer so hrt was only prescibed for 6mths after my hysterectomy....after around 2mths of taking red cloveri noticed a massive difference..no night sweats, hot flushes or mood swings...i suffer from rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondilosis also and i notice some improvement with these conditions also...after 12mths i came of slowly and 6-8weeks later i noticed more pin from my arthritis so i started again and after 1 month this imoroved so i still take 1 tablet a day and i now have osteo arthritis in my hips and although inevitable and degenerative my consultant says the red clovercould possibly have slowed this down....its works fo me in many ways its properties are brilliant. I needed to stop the prescriptions I was taking for hot flashes. After stopping I had hot flashes 24/7. I was miserable. I started taking red clover and I only have a couple hot flashes a day. It really works for me.
