Menopausal hot flashes, weight gain. Have noticed hot flashes diminish greatly with dim and weight loss, five pounds in two months. Feel much better and less emotional.

Assuming DIM caused my reaction as nothing else changed in my routine -- took recommended 2 cap/day dose - by evening of second dose my eyes were swollen with huge bags under my eyes and puffy lids, and a pink bumpy rash on my trunk and arms. My throat seemed raw -- I took a Benedryl and stopped taking the DIM. Took a few days for the swelling to subside.

I have Severe Estrogen Dominance, with symptoms of Cervical ectropion, Severe Endometriosis, Adult Acne, Constant severe tenderness of my breasts, and some discoloration/spots on my feet and ankles, also Migraine headaches. I have used this product for 3 weeks and am seeing amazing results with this treatment. I am taking pregnenolone with the DIM. I am very satisfied so far with the results.

After starting these pill I got extremely bad migraines in the back of my head and base of my neck, I had extremely bad diarrhea to the point I had to stay home from Church, and last night I woke up in my sleep multiple times with a racing heart and by the middle of the night to this morning my hips and legs hurt so bad it feels like I've ran a 3 day marathon. I've never felt anything like this so it scared me pretty bad. DIM+ detox is the only thing I've added in the last couple of days so I'm not taking it anymore. I almost thought about trying the lowest dose (mine 150mg) but honestly after all that I'm too scared to do it. I have not had blood work yet. My advice is proceed with caution. Best of luck!!Read More Read Less

A real game of two halves. I decided to try this for oestrogen dominance related problems - heavy periods, breast pain and swelling, fatigue. Breasts and pms mood much improved, pimples gone, dramatic reduction in GERD and carb cravings. However, I’ve also experienced some mega headaches with this period, including sweats and chills and joint pain. I think I can maybe keep taking it but not at points when my oestrogen is already low, and I obviously don’t need that much of it.

What a freakin nightmare! I took DIM as a recommendation because I have HRT pellets. Took the DIM for two weeks. Woke up in the night nausea, rapid heart rate and when I say a headache is was horrible and I get migraines and it felt worse. Developed tinnitus in my right ear. It was like my ears felt full and the pain was horrible! Not sure if it’s an ototoxin but be aware it is a side affect. . I am post menopause and started bleeding like heavy full blown period. Cramps and all. Stopped using it and most side effects went away other than the spotting and tinnitus. Did not take for four weeks and had my post 6 week pellet insertion check up and was told to try a different brand of DIM. With hesitation I tried again. One pill one night and omg within 1 hour my tinnitus flared up even worse this time. My ear feels full, I have a sharp pain and literally have this what feels like constricting in my ear. I woke up at 4am from a dead sleep with my heart racing and feeling flush! The ringing is so bad! BEWARE of this medication. Way too many side effects! Please do yourself a favor and do not let anyone talk you into taking this horrible drug! One pill to already cause such bad side effects! Read More Read Less

I'm on bioidentical HRT, which I was feeling great on, and my doctor recommended DIM to clear out any bad estrogens. Tried two different brands of DIM just to make sure. With both brands I tried, I experienced horrible recurring headaches a day later that last hours and through the night, along with diarrhea, frequent stools, dark urine, nausea. I feel like the DIM is still not ouT of my system after taking just one pill three days ago. My belief is that some people's systems cannot easily clear the toxins created by taking DIM from their systems, and that these toxins just keep recirculating in the blood for days. Supposedly DIM toxins are cleared through your bile acids, so if you do not have a gallbladder (mine was removed), I wonder if this can make a difference? Anyways, please know that this supplement can make you feel really bad, for days. So be careful if you are thinking about taking it, and talk to your doctor before trying it.Read More Read Less

Dangerous product. Would give zero stars if I could. I am post-menopausal and took the 150 mg caps of DIM for hormone regulation. On Day 2, I began having heart palpitations (never had this before except when I first started taking Synthroid and the dr had my dose too high). By Day 4, I realied it must be the DIM causing the palpitations and I stopped taking it. So I on took 4 capsules in total. I just had my yearly bloodwork and exam and it appears I am in good health. Well, it has been 3 weeks since I stopped taking DIM and still have palpitations (not as bad but still having them daily). So yesterday, I decided to skip my Synthroid dose. I woke up this morning with puffy, watery eyes (never had that before). I wonder if the DIM is interacting with my Synthroid. This is a nightmare. I just wish these terrible symptoms would go away.Read More Read Less

I was told that DIM SGS+ by Biote Nutraceutical was the piece that was a key part of my BHRT. I started taking it Monday night and after I took it Tuesday night I got an unbearable migraine! It finally went away during the day Wednesday. I took it again Wednesday night, same thing. This time it hasn't fully gone away. I'm not taking it tonight! I wish I had been warned about this as it looks like many women have had bad experiences.

My days of self medicating myself with random supplements is over. I took this for low libido and maybe it worked for that the first time I took it. Maybe placebo. It's the Royal Maca + DIM. It gave me awful headaches. I skipped a period. My next period was pretty heavy with cramps. I feel like I pulled an abdominal muscle and I've been feeling so depressed. It's been about 3-5 wks since I last took it. The depression seems to be lifting thank god.

I never had hot flashes!! Stopped taking after 5 days. 7 hot flashes that woke me from my sleep. Several hot flashes during the day all 5 days of taking Dim. It’s been about a month since I stopped taking and not I have 3 while sleeping and 5 during the day. So disappointed!! I have a feeling that it’s not going to go away anytime soon !’ Doctor recommended for high estrogen to level out bad estrogen.

I slowly tapered up because I got headaches starting with a full dose. After a couple weeks in 100mg twice/day, my hot flashes + night sweats were 100% gone! Unfortunately though, they have returned, though less severe than before. I now have several heat waves through the day + eve, and wake up a couple times/night feeling sweat on my face. Before the night sweats were much worse, I'd be drenched in sweat, followed by brief chills. I just wish they were working as well as before. The brand I take is Best Naturals.Read More Read Less

I am currently on BioTe hormone pelleting treatments. Not Taking DIM is not an option. I experienced terrible headaches, indigestion, nausea, vomiting. It's not for me. Disturbing how a company that charges $600 every 3 months for pelleting, insists patients take THEIR SUPPLEMENT, DIM. JUST A RIP OFF. AND, DANGEROUS TO SOME WOMEN LIKE ME WHO ARE ALLERGIC TO IT.

Glad I found this site because a lot of other sites tout DIMs effectiveness. I was having peri-menopause symptoms so I started taking DIM, magnesium & vitamin B. First, I got my period a bit early. Then, AFTER my period I got really moody. Then, the AFTER my period I got extreme breast tenderness and my breasts grew bigger than ever (I know I’m in the minority but I do not like having larger breasts and think they’re uncomfortable). My belly also swelled a bit and I had headaches. I just felt horrible and swollen. I honestly thought I was pregnant (at 46!) because I’d never experienced anything like this before. Nope. It was the DIM. I stopped taking it and am finally deflating and my mood is better. Read More Read Less

I have been on DIM for months, then recently the Naturopathic Doctor put me on EstroDIM of a higher potency. Now I’ve been having uterine cramps for days and I’m nowhere near getting my period. Started bleeding now too. After reading other reviews, have realized that the mood swings may also be related to this. Crying for no reason. Significantly decreases libido. Awful supplement, don’t take.

After the second day of use…saw blood in my pee. Thought a first it could be a bladder infection even though I had no other symptoms. Happen to be seeing my doc on the Second day. She took urine..no bladder infection. Showed her the bottle of DIM she thought it would be fine for hormone balance. But the minute I started taking it again I would see blood in my urine. Also been having headaches. After reading these reviews and seeing the Danes issues from others I will not continue taking DIM. Read More Read Less

Helped almost immediately with estrogen dominance. It seems like it needs to be taken in conjunction with calcium d glucurate to be most effective

I was taking DIM to help lower my estrogen as part of BHRT. The side effects were not too bad initially, but the longer I took it, the worse things got. I suffer from gout and haven’t had a flare-up in several years. I am on a keto, non-dairy, and gluten-free diet. The second week into taking 100mg daily, I had the worst flair-up of gout I have ever had. By late evening every day, the gout was much better, but it would get worse a few hours after taking the DIM. I continued taking it despite the flair-up. I started having other side effects, like bad brain fog, severe headaches, bad indigestion, not sleeping, flushing of the face, inflammation of my sinuses, mood change, nausea, and overall not feeling good. I have stopped taking it; on day one, my gout is about gone. I still have most of the others side effects but much less. I’m going back to taking I3C. I had zero issues taking it.
