My husband has been suffering with depression, mood swings, social anxiety, ADHD, irritability, weight gain, etc. for the past 8 years. At first we thought it was hypothyroidism, but his levels didn't register high enough on his blood chem test to alarm the doctor enough to give him an Rx (even though he has the tell-tale sign of thinned eyebrows). Recently, we came across an article about the sym...

I noticed it work right away. Works better than any anti depressant I've taken, without the serious side effects. Lethargy is nearly gone. I have way more energy now. Only drawback is I don't sleep as long and deep, but I can work around that, I'm sure. I haven't felt this good in many years. Highly recommended.

I have been taking tyrosine for a month. It did not help. I am taking, anyway, until the is finished, but is worthless for me.

I actually started taking it for depression and ADD. Initially i felt a little odd with a racing heartbeat. That stopped within a week and my attention has gotten better and better with an unexpected increase in emotional stability and physical energy. But I had been tested and shown to have a deficit in Dopamine. Headaches, worsening of symptoms will show up with people who have normal or high levels of dopamine and norephinephrine.

Due to my line of work, I have developed shift sleep work disorder. My Dr told me that both medicine and nursing are plagued with this. I was taking provigil. The tyro-sine works just as well and is cheaper and OTC.It also adds a light euphoric effect that the provigil did not. Downside: Limit your caffeine while on this or you will be asking for trouble, high heart rate and bp.

Bought this for my wife. She tried it for a few days and it didn't help her with attention, depression, alertness, mood. She takes the generic for provigil and it helps her in these areas. Since I had bought two bottles of 90 750mg I started taking them once in the evening and one in the morning. It helped me with my mood, attention. I've had no side effects. The cost is less that 1% of what Provigil is.

I started taking for narcotic withdrawal and continue 1000 in the A. M. I wake up, take it and have more energy and ability to concentrate. Been thru withdrawal and continue to feel more energetic(may cause headache) too many things could play into that.

I began taking L-Trysine in hopes that it would help with focus and retaining knowledge. I am back in school and studying a lot. The first thing I noticed was that I was dreaming and remembering my dreams. Then I noticed that I would, out of the blue, remember things that I hadn't thought of in years. I KNOW it has helped my focus and retention of info. I was only taking 500mg but sometimes now I take an extra pill in the evening, if I feel foggy.

I have taken Source Naturals brand N-Acetyl L Tyrosine that includes Folic Acid & B6. With a low dosage of 300mg daily, I have seen increased ability to concentrate, improved mood and better focus overall. One pill doesn't do it all, improved diet and nutrient plan has also helped; this was part of a holistic approach considering many factors.

I listed myself as ADD although i have not been diagnosed with ADD. I suffer inability to focus and occasional depression. I was prescribed tyrosine by a psychiatrist who encouaged me to try this before going to pharmaceuticals. I used it for 3 months and found my life to be incredibly more manageable. I ran out and quit taking. after 3 months am back where i started and i am going back to the regimen as I was a much happier person.

I was taking 500 mg. capsules from GNC that I should have continued taking. I thought that more would be better so I bought Tanamins online. They a much higher dose of Tyrosine. It made me feel anxious and my blood pressure went up. I never went back to the 500 mg. from GNC. When I was taking that I felt great. Happy, Smiling, could stay on task and had energy. So after reading the other reviews I am thinking about going back on it.

My son-in-law recommended tyrosine to me when I told him I had trouble focusing. When I took it for about 4-5 days in the beginning I could feel a differance right away, I was more alert, focused, and my brain actually felt as if I were about 15 yrs. younger. I've been using it for about a year now.
