Went to my doctor on my second day with pink eye. My left was almost swollen shut (both top and bottom lids) and a couple hours after my first dose the swelling already went down a lot. With one day of use so far, my swelling is completely gone and symptoms have subsided aside from a little bit of redness. Everyone reacts differently to meds but its been quite effective for me.

Our Pediatrician prescribed this for my 6 yr. old son. Putting the drops in was painful for him, so he moved around too much, & is maybe getting half the amnt per drop. He's been waking up the last 3 out of 4 nights, crying, disoriented, having strange dreams & a bad headache and/or sinus problems, saying his nose "doesn't work". He's also mentioned the felt need to vomit on 3 occasions since st...

After a week of using a different eye drop without clearing out my pink eye completely, this one hasn't either. The swelling went down after 2 doses, redness took about 6. But still after 5 days I'm still waking up with matted eyes and my eyes are still extremely itchy.

Well, I must be different as I reacted badly to this product. My eyes started oozing like crazy and wouldn't stop all night! I was going crazy and then the gunk gave my face a rash and my eyes were more bloodshot. I had an allergy it seems. I switched to Gentamacin next morning after telling my doc and it was much gentler and stopped my oozing immediately

Treated the pink eye, burned every time I used it! Was treated at local med center. Went to my eye doctor today due to extreme pain and light sensitivity since Saturday,I have an allergic reaction to the drops! Blisters on my corneas that are causing almost unbearable pain and terrible light sensitivity!!! New medication with steroids in it and a repeat visit for Friday scheduled. My doctor also gave me his personal cell phone in case of emergency before then. I will never have my eyes treated by any doctor but my eye doctor! This is aweful, and I had to work 12 hour shifts at the hospital all weekend Read More Read Less

So thanks to daycare, my 3 year old..5 year old..and myself got pink eye. Right away I suspected it because my eyes were itchy and my son's started having drainage. We went immediately to the doctor and were all 3 prescribed this. So far so good..no negative effects for anyone. My eyes feel a tad bit dry and my nasal passages as well but nothing too bad. Tomorrow is the last day and I was thankful we got it on time.

I woke up with Pink Eye Saturday morning. I was prescribed the medicine that afternoon. By Sunday the green mucus was gone, my eyes stopped itching and the redness began clearing. I read the reviews and everyone is different. The medicine was very quick and effective for me. There was no burning, swelling or adverse effects at all. Will use again for pink eye.

The pink eye infection began to clear even after the first dose. However, 24 hours after the final treatment symptoms returned and the treatment had to be repeated. The drug can enter your sinuses and throat through your eyes, and it leaves a terrible taste in your mouth. Also, Cipro is well known to cause weakness in the ligaments. We did not know this, and now there is a sprained ankle to treat. If you are and athlete or a dancer or active in any way, I do not recommend this drug. If there is a next time, we will request a different antibiotic treatment. The sprained ankle is a real problem for my daughter who is a dancer.Read More Read Less

I had horrible pink eye with discharge, swelling, blurred vision, and couldn't open my eye after sleeping. Visually improved each day I used this, though I did feel like something was in my eye for an hour after use, much better than not being able to open my eye. Very effective for me.

Started this medication two days ago for Pink eye with my sinus infection. It immediately began to burn, itch and turn the eyes more red than they were the day before. Used it a few more times and then gave it up. very ineffective and had to miss another morning of work because it didn't work on the pink eye at all.

I knew ahead of time that I was not allergic to the Cipro drug family. I am in Peru and didn't have the regular choices at the pharmacy I would if I were at home. Yes it will drain your sinus, especially if your bacterial pink eye is from a respitory or sinus infection. For me it was a "two-fer" to clear my sinus.

This medication caused my sinus to begin draining, itchy ears, and a severe rash to my face after only one dose. I would not recommend using it.

Regular dr. prescribed for pink eye, caused burning from first time used, most drops do. Last nite,3rd day, started having painful reaction to lite, extreme watering & pain in my left eye. Also had a nasty aftertaste(?). Go figure. It didn't work that well on my pink eye so now I have to go to my eye dr. to get both problems taken care of & this I have to pay out of pocket. Always question & research any meds prescribed. I've learned this the hard way.

I used this drug one day and my eye burned, ached and watered profusely all that night. Called my doctor and he called in a new prescription which worked with no side effects at all. This is a generic and cheap and I won't use it again!

My daughter was prescribed this medication for pink eye. After administering 2 doses of the drops her eyelid and under eye became very swollen and red. She complained about the pain in her eye from the drops. I would not recommend this medication to anyone!!!

I was prescribed this a few days ago when I was diagnosed with a "severe eye infection." What exactly that means, I don't know. After a minute or 2 after using the drops, my nose starts to run. Another minute or 2 after that, I get this horrible taste in my mouth. 10-15 minutes after that, I become very nauseated to the point where I have to make a mad dash into the bathroom to either throw up or the other thing. I am not happy with this drug and will be contacting my doctor first thing Monday morning and asking her if I can switch to something else. Read More Read Less

Our grandson had pink eye. Was prescribed this drug. We used it for 4 days with no results. Eye actually worsened and infection spread to the other eye. We ended up in emergency room. Doctor said it was an allergic reaction. We stopped the drops and in 48 hours eyes are much better.

I have been taking this medication for 4 days now. I have not had any improvement in eye. I burns and make vision blurry off and on in my infected eye. It gives you a horrible taste in you mouth about 3 minutes after applying the drops. Im going back to the dr today to see if there is another medication to treat this infection also noticing pain and pressure on that side of my head and behind my eye. It just seems to agrivate my eye morethat releave my symptoms.
