The first week, all hand joint pain was relieved. Then I noticed I had trouble breathing on the elliptical machine. After about two weeks I had difficulty breathing when I was walking. I stopped the medication immediately and my lung function improved.

This drug has been a life saver! I stand and walk,close to 8-10 miles a day,for my job. About a little over a yr ago, both my knees started hurting me & it was hard to get my job done, I could barely walk but since taking this, I can do most everything again without the pain &suffering of my horrible knee pain! I love it! However the only thing is I get frequent headaches & ibuprofen is the only thing that really helps with the headaches & since they said don't take ibuprofen with it, it's a little more challenging to curb my headaches but I'll take that over the knee pain!Read More Read Less

Blew a disc and suffered from sciatica in 2011. This went away over time. Then I tore my ACL in 2018. I use an elliptical daily and I cycle a lot. My knee will hurt. Meloxicam significantly helped with the sciatica and it is a Godsend for my knee. I can pretty much exercise with no limitations, except avoiding pivoting activities due to the torn ACL. No stomach issues ever. No side effects at all for me. I think it's a great, underrated, underused medication.

Took 1 pill, had an allergic reaction started going into anaphylaxis. I am allerrgic to insect bites like bees not sure if their is a correlation. On top of that have heart disease, urgent care gave me script can't believe it still. Blood pressure higher, dizzy 3 days after. GERD returned for 2 days after 5 years. This is a perfect case of the cure being worse than the disease. I have never had a problem with any medication before, BE VERY CAREFUL.

Started this drug three days ago and I am amazed at how much better my knee is. Currently, no side effects but even if I did, I'm not sure I would stop this medication as I have mobility again.

This medication made me very sick. I believe I experienced every side effect listed but the stomach pain was the worst. It felt like a big fireball burning in my stomach and abdomen. I still had the burning 3 days after stopping the medication. I wanted to take this longer to see if it could help my problems with L4, L5, and S1 which cause severe pain and sciatica. Waiting for surgery for L4 L5 and S1,ended up in hospital because of severe pain. Treated me with meds to relief pain went home with steroids. Consulted with my surgeons to give me something for the pain when steroids relief runs out. Given Meloxicam 7.5 twice a day and within days I had so much relief I couldn’t believe it with no side effects. Sometimes if I lay down , I feel a biting pain but I stand up and walk it out. My back issues aren’t going to go away so back surgery is scheduled in September, 3 months away so I am grateful for the success of the meloxicam helping me until then. Read More Read Less

I have arthritis in my legs. It can get so bad that I can scarcely walk or even stand up without pain. The backs of my knees hurt and feel as though they are going to give out. Meloxicam has worked wonders for me. OTC meds don't even touch it. I can get up, get my housework done, get into bed easily, and do my grocery shopping without pain.

Today was my first dose & with a few hours I was as close to pain free as I have been in years.

Have had chronic costochondritis for many years, with severe impact on everyday functioning until I was prescribed Meloxicam. This medication is a miracle drug for me. Taken over only 2 or 3 days at a time, symptoms are completely relieved, and I am generally then pain free until the next bout of costochondritis occurs. Had the same result after a persistent elbow inflammation that would not respond to physiotherapy - completely asymptomatic after only three days. Severe scoliosis pain. I have over 50 degree scoli and am 35, the meloxicam helps take the bad edge of pain in general but not completely. I know when my pain peak happens (about 1pm-4pm) and i take it with a couple crackers each time or there will be a stomach burning. So i try to take it late morning and about 3pm. and then use 2 extra strength Tylenol if struggling still but a little time away from it to keep stomach okay. One weird thing that i'm experiencing is a weird mental calmness affect. I've never been on anti-depresents but I feel like I don't care. Coming from a high stress driven personality that's not bad, its just different. I think this is going to get me by until i can get surgery if combined with the combo of my PT/yoga work outs, swimming/walking, meditaion every day. Also meditation (abide) has helped with the depression and anxiety from the chronic pain levels as well as taking magnesium at night (natural muscle relaxer). I did temporarily stop taking tumeric and cbd when i started on meloxicam due to possible interactions; but i would consider putting those back in the night routine at low doses. I would recomend meloxicam to people, i take the 7.5mg two times a day. And i found the times that are most effective for me10:30 and 3pm. my pain peaks still happen. This medication works better than any pain killer I take. It’s amazing.

I didn't see fast results from this, but after stopping and restarting taking it a couple times I have decided it definitely does work. I think it takes a week or two to really make a difference. Ibuprophen works well for my aches and pains, especially my back. Meloxicam over the long term seems to work even better including for my hip where the Ibuprophen was less effective. Helps with my fingers too.

Arthritis, Baker's cyst, in lots of pain with swelling, especially in my legs and feet. Walking was painful. I was put on small dose of Prednisone, which helped all this, but which my doctor told me to discontinue because of the danger, so I was frustrated, since the swelling and pain were returning. Meloxicam was prescribed a few days ago, and everything is better again. I can walk and even do short workouts at the gym. The pain is still slightly there, but is barely noticeable. The drug relieved my back pain but side effects made me stop taking it. I was on it for two weeks. Stomach issues, rash on my face and neck and I became highly sensitive to the sun. My face was badly burned while using SPF 100, a hat and makeup while playing golf. I’m stopping it now. But it did relieve my back pain.

Prescribed 2 days ago for Baker’s cyst that has ruptured. Some pain relief but need to know- what is the reaction to Valsartan?

Terrible osteoarthritis. Meloxicam 15 mg works very well for me. I do not have any stomach issues or side effects from it. I realize we are all different, but it has been a Godsend for me.

First day taking it gave me a headache and sharp pain in my stomach..I’m very taken that again..

This has not done anything but make me dizzy. After 2 weeks of once a day kept asking my doc when it was going to kick in. So disappointed

Wow! I have taken one dose and it stopped my pain in my knee. I have severe osteoarthritis with bone on bone and could hardly walk . So far I’m walking easy without pain.
