Did the job, but having to take it 4 times a day is a huge pain in the ass and it caused SEVERE nausea and cramping every time I took it. I'm sure there are other antibiotics that could do the job without the side effects

Haven’t completed my course so can’t review efficacy, but never had an issue with antibiotics not working. The 4 times a day dosage and strict rules around when you can and can’t eat make life difficult for people on the go. I’m really afraid I might accidentally miss a dose because it’s so complicated.

I got given cloxacillin to help staph infection from sanfly bites in asia. After 2 days of taking this drug I noticed in provement but now have inflamed severly itchy welts on the back of my legs and they are spreading. Some are starting to look like hives. I read on this website it is a un common side effect. I just took 1 tablet of polaramine and im hoping it helps the horrible welts. Should I stop this dose of cloxacillin or finish it iam into the third day. I will not be taking this antibiotic again. I have never had a reaction to anti biotics and I only ever use them when im in severe need. Any advice on this would be appreciated. Thanks, jennaRead More Read Less
