Was taking symbicort and spiriva but continued to have frequent flare ups. My doctor changed me to budesonide and anoro. I am feeling better than I have all winter. Takes extra time to take medicine but seems to be worth it so far.

With each use, the product ended up on the back of my tongue and never made it down into my lungs, so there was no improvement in my ability to breathe. Because the product is so expensive, I immediately discontinued its use.

I'm a retired veteran that was based near burn pits at multiple locations throughout the Gulf War, and I have been diagnosed with Asthma in 2015, severe COPD in 2017 and Bronchiectasis in 2022. I essentially have a continuous lung infection. Prednisone makes me feel the best, but Budesonide works nearly as well keeping my lungs clear. I still require albuterol, often required with poor air quality. Only side effect I have had is I lost my voice because I wasn't rinsing my mouth after each dose.... SO! I now rinse and gargle well after and my voice returned.Read More Read Less

This makes it alot easier for me than trying to puff up on the advair disc. I have severe copd and just got over pneumonia and this has helped tremendously. They always give it to me in the hospital with my respitory medicine.

I had been using Symbicort but my medicare advantage plan co-pay was too high. My doctor switched me to the nebulizer with Budesonide and arformoterol tartrate liquids mixed together. After using I rinsed my mouth good but in a few minutes my throat felt like it was swelling and I started coughing uncontrolablly. I took liquid benedryl (can't spell) and after a few minutes I began to feel better but my back and sides itched really bad. I did not have any rash showing but I itched for quite a while. I didn't have this reaction to Symbicort, which is the same medication. After using the Symbicort I DID lose my ability to taste anything. My doctor was puzzled by this but did not think it was because of the Symbicort. Now, I don't know what to do!Read More Read Less

I use this 2x/day through a nebulizer. For me it has been terrific at keeping flare-ups down to almost nothing. I use this after using albuterol & find I can go hours without a problem.

It has worked well for my son but I wonder if it has an effect on his ability to taste foods.

I have been using this inhaler for at least 5 years without any side effects. Unless I have a cold or respiratory infection it controls my asthma along with my other medication. I rarely need to used my rescue inhaler.

Side effects are my main concern. Unexplained joint/muscle and pain. My doctor said he never had this occur but it is strange this started shortly after I started to use. I'm going to go off it and see if the side effects go away.

I had a severe skin rash while using symbicort which has budesonide in it. I had to go to a dermatologist for creams to help heal it. I was miserable for over a month before healing and my arms and the back of my hands looked "normal" again.
