I have a colonoscopy every September. I have used other preps and found them very hard to swollow, or too much too do in one day. I found citrate about three years ago and I would use nothing but it for my preps. In fact I am drinking a grape flvored one right now as I am writing this for my procedure tomorrow morning

I thought this was going to taste better after reading reviews. I drank the cherry and can't get rid of the horrible taste. I feel to sick to my stomach to even want to eat. Will be glad when this is over.

Very sweet, but that is better than older methods by far.

Works works works!! If you ready to live on your toilet for about a good 24hrs then this is the route to go. I didn’t know about the servings portion of the the bottle so I chugged the whole 10oz cherry bottle, I actually liked the taste fan on tangy ??????? Afterwards water water water the more you can take down the better it helps for the medicine to work. Be prepared with baby wipes and air freshener. Also you can’t trust nothing once the medicine starts to work any rumbling or fart run to the restroom cause more then likely it’s going to spew out like a water faucet you’re going to have to pee like crazy and more than likely your going to poop every time you go pee. As far as side affects I got the whole 9; stomach cramps, gas which turned into how fast can I run to the restroom, clammy and hot burning sensation in my stomach some nausea fatigue weakness. The medicine took affect within 30 minutes of chugging so be ready. Can’t remember how many times I ran to the restroom I was finished around 6am, chugged bottle at 4pm thankfully went one times throughout the night so I got to sleep somewhat was still worried I was going to crap the bed. I had been feeling very bloated and not had a successful poop in a couple of days. (I usually go every day) I took about 3/4 of the lemon flavored bottle and in 3 hours I was emptying my bowels. So happy my tummy will not be sick anymore. Will use again if needed.

I had surgery and was given pain meds. I began taking stool softeners immediately, to no avail. After 6 days I got the cherry flavor. I started using the bathroom within an hour! Donâ??t plan on going far from your bathroom, I have been going to the restroom for around 10 hrs. Tired of going but am so grateful that I now can. My poor belly feels so much better. I will take this anytime I have this problem in the future!

I drank 2 10 oz bottles of the lemon and if you can get through the terrible taste, you've got it made. The 1st bottle made me sick to my stomach. The 2nd, I could only drink about 3/4th. I'm having a colonoscopy in the AM. :( Next year, I will try the grape.

I have IBS-C and I take a narcotic pain medication for my chronic pain. Needless to say, nothing moves my bowels very well, except this product. I always get the grape. It's not too pleasant. It sort of tastes like a sour grape soda, but to me, it's worth it. I don't drink it at night because that has proven to be dangerous, and very messy. Drink it in the morning, is my recommendation. It never fails to clean me out in a few hours.

This is the only laxative product that always works well with me. THE SECRET IS TO DRINK ONLY 1/3 OR 1/2 BOTTLE AT A TIME to avoid too strong an effect. I find the lemon lime flavor just fine.

I hadn't pooped in almost a month and nothing I tired helped. So, as one of the last items to try on my list, I went to CVS and picked up some of this. I got the cherry flavor and, yeah, it's not pleasant. It sort of tastes like if cherry jolly ranchers had a ph value of 1. But it worked so well. I recommend this if other laxative pills aren't working.

I felt sluggish and did not have castor oil on hand. So I bought Magnesium Citrate in order to get rid of that 'sluggish' feeling in my glut. Took the cherry flavor (yuck...I did not see the normal lemon/lime flavor at my local drug store) before I went to bed. By 6:30 the next morning, I was running to the bathroom. I went about 5-6 times throughout the day. When taking this laxative, always chug some water behind it. Also, it helps to clear the day from any errands.

The taste of the lemon flavor really isn't as bad as people are saying. It's a trillion times better than milk of magnesia, and doesn't last nearly as long. Anyway, yeah, this stuff will clear you out, though you'll probably be bloated and uncomfortable, not to mention filthy, for a few days after.

well, if you dont mind running to the toilet 7-10 times in the span of a few hours, or the salty fruity taste, or the fact it makes your booty burn, then this stuff isn't too bad. clears you right out if you've been backed up. on a side note, it's best to drink with a glass of water, and also don't breathe through your nose. good luck on your journey!

The new grape flavor makes this treatment easier to stomach - the lemon flavor would literally turn me inside out just looking at the bottle!!!

xray revealed my bowel is partially obstructed by a stool impaction. Dr. has tried every 0tc medicine and this was a last resort. I have been having diarrhea or mucos which slips around the impaction. I also have IBS.I have no results except light yellow liquid. Took it 6 hrs ago. Any suggestions I vomited up some oj this morn while passing mucous

I had used Citrate of Magnesia as part of my prep for a colonoscopy. Previously, I had taken PhosphoSoda for a prep and was somewhat aprehensive of taking Citrate of Magnesia, expecting that same bad taste and expecting to struggle to get it down. Much to my surprise, the Citrate of Magnesia was very easy to swallow and tasted very lemonee. You can expect a somewhat sour aftertaste after taking the solution or when stopping to take a breath. Overall, taking Citrate of Magnesia was not a bad experience. It was much more pleasant than the other Colonoscopy prep solutions I had taken.Read More Read Less
