Hello, I have been using Synthroid for over ten years and find it the best to use. I have never had my dose increased as I follow the SPECIFIC directions for use. Take it at the same time every day (for me, 5 A.M.!)and on an empty stomach--for one hour. I have found, my morning coffee is fine with no cream, or half and half ; a food. I tried the generic form and it did not have the same affect...

I have been on Synthroid from 2007-present 2012. The side affects has cause me to be very, very, very, annoyed for no reasons. The dosage of 150MCG is supposedly the right amount. If this make any since,it's not the medication its the darn side effects. Its ridiculous.

I am on .300 of this medication and have gained over 200 lbs since 1991. I have skipped taking it and can't tell a difference whether I take it or not. My body is not absorbing the medication?

I take a low dose for hypothyroid condition resulting from sub acute thyroiditis. I never experienced any significant symptoms of low thyroid function after. becoming ill with thyroiditis; however, my endocrinologist advised the medication based on blood tests. No adverse effects or restrictions upon my very physically active life-style.

My thyroid panel was TSH 4.660, FT3 was 1.72 and FT4 was .57. In the first four weeks of taking this medication I saw improvement in my body and the feeling of being hot all the time. During the 5-6 week period I seem to feel better than before taking the medication but not as good as the first four weeks. It has been over two months now and the feeling of being hot and the weak feeling is returning to the pre-medication levels.

I have been on and off synthroid for about 5 years and have never liked it. the side effects I had were worse than the disease. I just found a new endocrinologist that is letting me try Armour thyroid, I hope it works or not sure what to do next.

I have taken Synthroid for 25 years and have never had any problem with it. It fixed my fatigue and I feel great. I tried the generic levothyroxine for a while because it was much cheaper but my TSH tests were all over the place so I went back to Synthroid. My pharmacist said he had seen that result in quite a few people. It is much less expensive now than it was when I first started taking it.
