Cardiologist prescribed Zetia. Cost too much. Purchase Generic form (ezetimibe ) from Canadian Pharmacy. Works great! Cardiologist is very pleased with the results.

serious side effects that started in my back, left side, and moved to my arm. each day the pay grew substantially. the pain was constant and nagging. didn't realize at first it was the medication, and went for accupucture, cupping, massages. Took extra strength Tylenol, nothing; took extra strength Ibuprofen, nothing, took Robax Platinum, nothing. Then i decided to stop taking Ezetimibe and the next day it felt much easier. Took 6 days - each day a little less painful - until i felt somewhat normal or not feeling any kind of pain.Read More Read Less

I was taking Atorvastatin. Caused bloating and severe muscle pain. Stopped taking this. Cholesterol got high again but pain eased dramatically. Now 9 months later Doctor put me on Ezetimibe. Took it 5 days. Bloating and pain has returned. Very disgusted right now. Will never take cholesterol melds again. It's not worth it. Quality of life is more important to me at this age.

I cannot take statins since they cause horrible muscle pain. I eat a lot of junk food, that's a given. My cholesterol was always high, cutting back on what what I ate did not do a thing. But this little pill did! My cholesterol is wonderful and within the normal range for all the years I have take it and best of all, NO muscle pain. I would recommend this to everyone...great drug!

Suffered rare but serious consequences on statins. This combined with niacin has exceeded my doctor's expectations.

Taken as part of treatment for type 2 diabetes to lower cholesterol with a statin. Very effective whereas the statin on its own had little effect
