I've been using Nuvaring for 8 years now and have had no other side effects than going from a C cup to a D cup, but no weight gain anywhere else! It's very effective and no mood swings. And my sex drive is still very much in tact- never been affected. Much lighter periods are a plus (3 days or less), no more pain with periods at all and not having to worry whether I took the pill at the right time...

Well yes, nuvaring will keep your from getting pregnant. It will also make you an emotional basketcase to the point that a guy who claims he loves you "can't handle it" and runs off with an emotionally unavailable slut. Works wonders in preventing babies though.

I have been getting very nauseated lately. It is typically when my stomach is empty. I wonder if it is due to the ring. I can't figure any other reason for how I feel.

I'm decently satisfied with this form of birth control. It is VERY convenient as long as i am marking on my calender when it was last removed and when to replace the ring. However, since i began the ring about 4 months ago i've had my period every 2 weeks. This is somewhat annoying but i was informed by my OBGYN that this is normal as my body is adjusting to the hormonal effects. Also, i have recently had much more breast tenderness than usual but i'm not so sure it's relative to the ring.

The ring is a phenominal version of the pill! The pill made me craby, moody, i had no sex drive and almost lost my relationship because of all those things! and I would've probably already had a child because of it. I was really good about taking it ontime. Till I went to college. then my whole schedual got so screwed up and i 4got about taking it. Then i got the ring and I haven't had a problem with it at all. It kind of weirded me out putting it in and everything but now it just fits into an every month rutine and my partner thinks its neat to feel something new... :) I love it and I would recommend it to anyone who wishes to get BC!Read More Read Less

falls out, widens, and is uncomfortable sometimes... if you are an athlete don't use it.. if you don't move, it should work...

I have been using it for about a year now. I was drawn to its ease of use, but can no longer handle the migranes it gives me before my period and the extreme mood swings. The hormones in Nuvaring are STRONG.

i have been using the ring for over a year after i had my daughter and i have had no problems with it. At first for about 2 days i had some cramping, but nothing ever since. i recomend this to those who forget to take the pill.

i have had no problems with the ring. i have no problem sleeping... actually i think i sleep less, i haven't had breakthrough bleeding like i have with the shot and pills. i have have had no problem with dryness... the exact opposite really, more moisture than necessary, sometimes i take it out and rinse it a bit in the shower because the excess moisture scares me of an infection. i am just over the 6 month mark... i haven't noticed weight gain, but i haven't lost weight either(bummer). my periods are shorter, my partner doesn't notice it, i don't forget it... its great. i think the first few times i used it i would have cramps for the first few hours it was in.. but not anymore. I was on the nuva ring for 6 months before I started gaining weight, sleeping A LOT, and had a major decrease in my libido.

after a period of months I developed a number of side effects including persistent headaches, nausea, vomiting, intense irregular bleeding, stomach pain, and the list goes on. don't ignore the symptoms. if there is not other reason for your feeling ill, consider the nuvaring as the source.

Major side effects that weren't listed. Even though the ease of use was great, I have lasting side effects including loss of coordination, muscle pains, severe fatigue etc. Please be careful if this happens to you.

I love the fact that I can have no periods on this. After getting used to it, I haven't had any problems with wearing this. I have noticed beast tenderness and mood swings during the week I would expect to have my period. But I am overall very happy with this.

Much better experiance than with oral contraceptives. Only problem was when it fell out and I didn't notice for a few days... Insurance made me pay out of pocket as I wasn't due to get another for two more weeks. Lesson, check ring on a regular basis to make sure it's where it should be.

I inserted it incorrectly the first few times, now it's not a problem. I notice more severe moodiness and bloating than I experienced with birth control pills. The overriding positive is that you do not have to remember daily, otherwise I prefer oral contraceptives.

My flow is a lot heavier than it was being on the "pill" also, cramping and the typical mood swings are more apparent.
