My G.P. had me on Eutroxine /Oroxine for some time but never really helped ,in fact it made me feel worse if anything so I went to a Endoc.for more advice.He decided to put me on 25mc (new formula) Eltroxine .This is only day two and I never felt worse.There is NO way I am taking this.I have had funny turns and can not function on any level.Feel weak,nausea,shakes,pressure in head and bad memeory and cognition.Not to mention less 200 dollars for the Endo.What the hell is wrong with these doctors they can’t get on top of this problem and help us.Read More Read Less

The NEW FORMULA of ELTROXIN....I cant sleep....my skin is itching....where can i order the OLD FORMULA or why dont they do something about all the complaints....LOTS of people are complaining about the new formula

At end of day I feel very tired and gained weight during the change to lower dose.

I have been taking this product for about 10 years now and I have been getting lots of muscle cramps in my legs and back. It is becoming unbearable. Think I need to switch to Goldshield.

Hi Guys, I have been on Eltroxin for 15 years. When I was prescribed, I was told to take it with breakfast and suffered all the normal side effects like hair loss, couldn't lose weight, etc. I understood this to be the medication and with all the blogs I reviewed, the problem seemed universal. 8 months ago, my pharmacist asked me when i was taking the pills. When I told him with food, he told me that I should be taking it at least one hour before and one hour after food, and with a whole glass of water and at the same time every day. When I did this, along with 30 minutes cycle every day, the weight is falling off so quickly, my wardrobe can't keep up. For the hair loss, I realized it eltroxin may have contributed to it, but it was generally a lack of magnesium. I still suffer hair loss, but nowhere near what I was losing. It's really frustrating when you are prescribed this medicine that doctors aren't clearer about this - I spent 15 years being 70 lbs over weight and now I look great (because I have more energy), feel great (because I have lost so much weight) and am looking forward to losing the horrendous belly fat (which my body is working on now). It's been a fine drug, I was born without a thyroid gland, was on for almost 14 years of my life (16 year old)

Have taken Eltroxin for 3 weeks, seem to make me feel worse . Don't know if menopause is also affecting, playing a role in the side effects currently experiencing, My Doc advised to stop the meds. I feel worse each day..i use to be active but know everything I do seem to be such a mission, like simple tasks, walking the stairs, feels like I am falling apart. My body is constantly aching, disorientated at times, loss of hair, moods, depressed slow memory. should i go back on the meds and give it a chance??? Read More Read Less

Since switching to this brand I have found that my hair fall has increased, extra weight around the midrift, increase in loss of focus and concentration. I have been taking Leyothyroxine for many many years and then pharmacy switched to this brand but not at all happy, so now switching to another brand Goldshield to see if there is a difference.

Its been 16 years I am consuming eltroxin. I started when I was 11 years old. This medicine has become my part of life and I feel am more active and less fatigue but I still have Hair loss problem which is unstappable

I am using this medicine past 8 years. I could maintain the TSH, T3 ,T4 well. But cholesterol level, and trygleserid level increased very high although i am controlling my food intake very minimal. Also observed mild depression after taking this medicine.

I have gained at least 10 kg.in just a few weeks.I walk the dog every day & live a busy life so not a lay about. Bone pain in back feet arms .Also I have osteoarthritis & allergies . so why was I prescribed it .?
