My skin is almost clear, no other topicals have even come close to working this well. I have had some slight itching in a couple locations, but no other side effects other than that.

This has made my psoriasis wayyy worse. It was barely visible (when dry), now it is purple! I look horrible now! I don’t know whether to continue or just live with this…

Dermatologist recommended this cream. I should have known when we didn’t put the script thru my prescription plan. I got a tube free of charge. After 1 day of application I had burning and bumps and unbearable itchiness. I’ve only used 2 days until I figured it was this cream causing my problem. I hope my neck and chest go back to normal. I would not recommend.

I would never suggest this product to anybody I know. I started getting boils on my legs. I ignored then but when I started getting big boils on my face I discontinued. Also my skin where I was applying it became very dark and very thick. It looked worse than how it looked with my plaque psoriasis. Worst experience. After I stopped using it the Plaque Psoriasis came back two fold. Stay away!

After learning about it myself and asking for it, still took awhile for my dermatologist to agree to prescribe this, which seems odd to me. Even after it started working, she kept talking about making me take a strong biologic. I looked around, read some reviews and found another doctor. Vtama is working. How does this work? Are dermatologists getting payed like DJs used to? This medication has worked faster and better without any side effects than anything I’ve ever used. Over the years I learned that Pso is also affected by what we eat, so I’ve continued to avoid sugars, alcohol and processed foods completely. Still, after having tried every other topical out there, this is definitely THE WINNER. I give it an A+ Read More Read Less

After reading this became the #1 branded topical in the US within 2 months on the mkt, I asked my derm for a prescription. I’ve tried enough new stuff over the yrs to know it’s smart to see how it goes slowly, so I tried it for two weeks on a plaque on my left knee and watched it disappear! Looks like from reading the trials it went through that a little less than half the people who it got tested on had excellent results. Bc of this I didn’t expect a miracle but have been VERY pleasantly surprised. Derm said only to put it on areas with plaques, not on healthy skin bc it can cause some peoples hair follicles to react. Not here, but I’m aware of that. The reviews here were very positive when I first read them and I have to say I’m surprised at how stupid some are. Who puts a med that’s supposed to be used only on the outside of their body INSIDE their ear canal and WHAT idiot doctor suggested that? A little common sense goes a long way. This is the best experience I’ve had with any psoriasis med in 27 years and I suggest anyone try it, slowly. I give it an A+Read More Read Less

I used the product VTAMA for 2 days. 1st day, I developed a headache and muscle pains. Flu-like symptoms. On the 2nd day, I developed a rash on my body and my face became RED and burning, and itchy. Now I am faced with how to get the burning to stop. Do I take a steroid? Do I take Benadryl?

This is the only thing that has fully worked for me. I’ve had psoriasis for many years and I’m glad I finally found something that works. I actually stopped applying it after about 2 weeks because I didn’t need it anymore. Every once and awhile I’ll reapply to keep flareups away. The only downside is that I had “pimple” like bumps near my hair follicles that appeared after about a week, but eventually went away.

This was prescribed for my penis. The papules on my penis have become enormous and I am now permanently disfigured with bumps all around my penis which cannot be cured. If you want your sex life to be ruined permanently VTAMA is for you.

Within two days of using this medication (applied at night), I would wake up with severe headaches in the morning. I also started to have itching all over my body, mostly my inner forearms and stomach, but general itching everywhere. I stopped using it for two days and the headaches stopped, mild itching remained. I was seeing slight improvements in my skin so I figured I would try the medicine again…headaches did not return by after a couple more weeks itching continued and finally Folliculitis on my arms (not where I apply the cream) started. That’s when I finally stopped the medication. However, itching remains all over my body including my face, which feels like a sunburn. Read More Read Less

Been using it now for 2 weeks working very well. Some of my psoriasis is already gone. My knees are taking longer but are much better. I anticipate they will be better in 2 weeks as well. Very happy the only thing is the cost that makes me sad

Have had psoriasis for many years (mostly on legs, arms, and scalp). Have tried 3-4 medications in that time, all of which slightly alleviated issue (esp itching), but none has not made a dent in underlying issue (clobetosol has been best amongst those fwiw). I’m 8 days into using vtama and shocked how well it’s working (was googling why/how it works and surprised to see a fairly negative review profile on here). You can see my spots all shrinking/healing fairly rapidly. No itching or flaking at all anymore. I haven’t had any side effects although I appreciate the cautionary tales from others. Very hopeful by my follow up dermatologist appt (6 wks out), this is going to be knocked out. Anyways, fwiw I’d recommend everyone try at least one small spot and see (what my dermatologist told me to do although I didn’t listen and just put everywhere). Maybe doesn’t work for everyone but it’s been borderline magical for me so far.Read More Read Less

My dermatologist prescribed this for a patch of re-occurring eczema on the back of my neck. After the first application, it became red, burning and very itchy. I was up many times during the night trying hard not to itch as that would have made it worse. I have decided not to use this plus it is unreasonably expensive.

Started using this in mid-September, by early October I was clear. This is the first thing I’ve ever used that worked like magic to clear my skin. My dermatologist said I could stop. No side effects, easy to use, I remained clear until the beginning of December so I started using on any new areas then. Now if I monitor it carefully I’ve learned I can hit it when tiny hints show up and they never get any bigger. A psoriasis free winter! Very happy with this new regime.

While the cream did treat the psoriasis, I am unfortunately a patient that experienced a severe rash as an adverse reaction. I am not saying this will be everyone, but it is what happened to me.

My dermatologist prescribed Vtama for my inner ears which were very flaky as well as my scalp, which was also flaky, dry, and itchy- he felt that if it was in fact Psoriasis and not Excema, that Vtama would help. I began putting Vtama on affected areas of my scalp and ears. After using Vtama for a short amount of time, maybe a week, I noticed my inner forearms began to itch tremendously. I never had this problem before. I had made no other changes to my life other than Vtama. I have always used Free and Clear detergent. I cannot 100% say Vtama caused this, but the itching forearms came about right after I began using Vtama. I stopped using it, and unfortunately the itching stayed. I'm no medical researcher, but I feel Vtama has caused an immune reaction in me where it has essentially ignited this itching condition in my forearms. I am now itchy on my entire body. At first it was just the forearms. I never had it before, so it seems to be too much of a coincidence. In the three weeks I used it, it brought me no relief to my flaky ear condition or scalp. After applying only a very small amount (pinhead size) on my face, I had a reaction involving stinging, burning, redness and eventually cracked and peeling skin and some bleeding. It’s been almost a month and my face still hasn’t healed completely. I am wondering if Iam going to have scarring from this.

This stuff works. I have tried all ointments, creams, foams. This is the best only thing is it leaves dark spots.

I am just finishing up my 4th week of treatment, my psoriasis in terms of redness and inflammation is at least half gone. By the rate it has worked so far, I would anticipate being clear in another 4-6 weeks. I could not be more pleased. I have had no issues with side effects.

Quickly effective and lasts after stopping. Not a steroid. After reading trial data before starting to use this, decided to try on as small area as possible, since Folliculitis was listed as a potential side effect. Applied carefully with a Q tip. Like a miracle, started working within a week and cleared within 3-4 weeks except for one non-responsive area. Continued use in all areas for three months total. Only stopped after a few follicles reddened. This was longer than probably it should have been used, but doctors have no experience with this new medicine. Follicles slowly calmed after stopping use, two months passed before mild symptoms returned. A study on Taparinof mentioned potential for chloracne with dioxin exposure. Look up Taparinof and chloracne. Consider this before even thinking about smoking while using this medicine and be aware of any potential environmental dioxin sources.. like, fire? smoke? chemical exposure? Do your homework. Overall VERY impressed with this medicine. Read More Read Less
