I started Wegovy 4 weeks ago and lost nothing. Then Pen is irritating because you have to push hard to inject. Wish it worked for me.

I lost 12lbs my first 3 injections, and everything was manageable until I went on vacation. I was at a concert when I tried a vodka lemonaide and ate half a hot dog after not eating all day and just drinking water. 10 minutes later I had horrible abdominal pain. I chalked it up to constipation, but it got so much worse. The pain was different than anything I have ever felt. Even drinking water was killing me. It felt like I swallowed razor blades and my intestines were ripping and my upper back was shredding into pieces. The pain lasted for 3 days with constant diahrea. I skipped this injection because the pain was worse than my gallbladder surgery. Last night the pain moved to the left upper abdominal area, it felt like I was being stabbed for hours on end. Literally my entire left upper stomach was visably twitching. The pain subsided today, im still constipated, extremly bloated, and tired as hell. Only 3 weeks in and I feel horrible. Please be careful. Read More Read Less

Wegovy works too good of you ask me. I literally cannot eat and food looks so unappealing to me now. I lost 40 lbs in two months and I'm not even at the full dose yet. My only issue is the nausea and complete loss of appetite I now have to force myself to get even a little down. I think I may take a break for a while, I miss being able to eat

Worst experience ever after taking the 1st shot of .24ml. I’ve had severe vomiting for 48 hours continuously. It was so bad bile was all that I had left to vomit, made my teeth brittle and I was so cold and breaking out in sweats. I had to get an IV after the 3rd day. What a horrible experience and I’m terrified of the thought of taking the next dose of this over priced medication that took so long to get approved for! I can barely eat anything and keep it in for 5 mins without throwing up! Taking OTC Dramamine to help with the severe nausea. It’s not worth going through such a terrible experience to lose weight.Read More Read Less

I began my Wegovy journey May 2nd and am about to conclude my 4th month. I am down 41 pounds. The side effects have been minimal for me, I have been very lucky. Other than a little nausea and some fatigue from time to time, I have felt great! It has definitely curbed my appetite and doesn't allow me to eat very much at one sitting. I have learned to listen to my body when it tells me to stop eating. I have over eaten a few times and most definitely paid the price! I haven't really changed much as far as the foods I eat, just the amount. Being someone that has struggled with my weight since my teens, this has been the easiet, less stressful weight loss journey I have been on. I am halfway to my goal!! Yay!! Read More Read Less

I started Feb 2023, lowest dose, for the month it worked, curbed any food craving and started to lose weight. Come March, nothing, and what weight I lost, I gained back. Aug 2023, I found out I have low Testosterone levels, and found out, Weygovi and Low Testosterone dont mix, and low T will cause the Weygovi to be ineffective. I kept twlling my endocrinologist that somethings been blocking the Weygovi, and of course, the answer is, well it doesnt work for all…..I think we all know our bodies…so, waiting to fix the low t levels…Read More Read Less

I am so pleased with this medication! I have had no side effects so far. Although I'm still ramping up the dose (1mg now), I've lost 8 lbs. I don't obsess about food anymore and I don't crave fried food! The only downside I've found is that I forget to drink enough water now, which I never used to do.

BMI over 30. On week 10, 2nd week on 1.0 mg dose. Little to no appetite for a couple weeks. Decreased food intake. Zero weight loss. Until this week. After last injection, have been violently ill for days. Can't keep anything down, Threw up food from 2 days prior at beginning of this dose. Throwing up completely undigested food many hours after eating, Stomach won't hold any solids. Lost 10 pounds this weekend. Would rather be chubby.

My experience is different than most. I was not overweight, But had put on 20 pounds since peri-menopause that I could not lose and I felt horrible. I started at 158 and two weeks in I am at 147. Months also started at the 1.7 dose because that was all that was available to get without delay. My first shot was horrible on the first day. Then my doctor called in nausea medicine and I was good to go. The second day I was good to go. I have just not felt hungry. I definitely have to watch what I eat and I eat supper slow. I was weak my first weak but I hadn’t been taking my vitamins. I started taking them and everything got better. I took my third shot today and haven’t felt sick all day. I was surprised. Last week wasn’t too bad either. I didn’t have headaches or any of the other horrific side effects that some of the others have left in their reviews. Read More Read Less

If you use any medication you will have side effects that you don't want. Thats what drugs do. They give side effects to combat an ailment. Even multivitamins can cause vomiting, dehydration, gi issues and lightheadedness. If you don't use as prescribed then it is not the med to blame. If you expect to take a shot and wake up tomorrow 100lbs less you will be disappointed. I have had side effects but got through it. It wasn't pleasant but I got through it. I am happy to stay close to a bathroom once a week if it means my body can be in less pain because of my weight. Getting older sucks way more when excess weight mixes with normal wear and tear. I do think that too many people are not realistic about what this does. It doesn't fix everything by itself and nothing is going to give you that social media glow that isn't real to begin with. Even when you do lose a lot in the end, you now have another round of new problems. You look like a deflated balloon and are dealing with the complexity of being a fat person in a stranger's skinny body. Moral of this story. If this works the way you think it should you didn't need it to begin with. If you quit because you don't like the side effects, you didn't need this to begin with. Some of us are desperate, including myself, and will do anything to feel less pain. No one should stay on a med they don't like but don't blame it all on the drug. Read More Read Less

I have been taking Wegovy since the end of April 2023. Due to supply issues, I took 2-months worth of the .25 dose and then now 2-months worth of the .5 dose. I have one more dose of the .5ml pen left, but have put off taking it due to experiencing extreme side effects last week (the 2nd time this has happened). It feels like a really bad case of the flu, mixed with nausea, vertigo, a horrible headache, fatigue, and having a very hot, flushed face that I cannot cool down no matter what I do. I can’t stand for more than a few seconds at a time either. It’s seriously awful. I have been prescribed nausea medication and will still sometimes throw up out of nowhere. Mostly like acid reflux. I noticed that this has happened a day or two after taking my 6th or 7th shot of the SAME dose. It is almost unbearable. Also, it is really scary that these side effects can appear seemingly out of nowhere when other weeks I feel mostly fine (maybe not ever 100% but manageable). I think these side effects may also be corresponding with my period, but that’s just a theory. So, adding that into the mix is the cherry on top of what is a horrible experience. Some weeks I feel less hungry than others, but it has never been consistent or gotten progressively “better” with each week. I already try to drink a ton of water, but have upped my water intake even more since starting the medication in hopes of helping avoid any potential side effects. I have also tried to incorporate more protein and veggies into my diet and stay away from really greasy foods or lots of sugar. Again, some days or weeks are better than others, but overall, I have made some decent improvements to my diet and still haven’t been able to lose much weight or keep off the little bit I have lost. When I’m not experiencing extreme fatigue or any other side effects, I am usually able to exercise 2-3 times a week. But if the fatigue creeps up on me? Forget about it. It will feel like I’ve been drugged. Overall, I’m disappointed that the medication hasn’t worked the way I’ve heard it has for others. My doctor reminded me that not everyone experiences rapid weight loss in the first few months, but I guess I just assumed (or hoped) that’s what would happen. She feels that my progress is good enough/gradual and that if I can get my hands on the medication during these crazy shortages then I should try to push through. However, risking feeling like death 2-3 days every 6 weeks has me questioning if it’s worth it. I want to be the healthiest version of myself, but have never found it easy to lose weight without crash dieting. As I get older and my metabolism slows, it only becomes increasingly more difficult. I want to be heart healthy, have energy, and feel my best. So far, Wegovy has occasionally made me feel less hungry, but the anxiety and stress that comes with experiencing side effects and dealing with supply chain issues/coverage is a lot. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Started on 1/15 at 277 pounds down to 201 6 months later. It slows the digestive system, so I took on an empty stomach though instructions says it doesn't matter. Minor side effects. Headaches and the runs the first 2 days and the runs when I upped to the 1.7 dosage for about 10 days. Only other side effect was fatigue. Though when I'm fatigued that's when the weight comes off. Doctor kept me on the .25 doseage for the first 3 months, .50 for the next 2 months, 1.0 for a month and just started the 1.7 doseage 2 weeks ago. Was able to eat the foods I like, though I avoided pasta, bread and sugar foods, diet mainly meat and baked potato. Wegovy curbed my carb addiction considerably, snacking reduced by about 80 percent and meals by about 40 percent. Had a few periods when the weight loss stalled for 7 to 10 days. I lost weight before but never this easy. The cravings for food went away within an hour of 1st injection. Read More Read Less

Got a Lil nauseous and dizzy but bearable. I lost 12 lbs.so happy. My second month had to wait 3 weeks, wasn't available, on backorder! Gained 3lbs waiting. Waiting 4 weeks now for my 3rd month. Gained 3 more lbs waiting! Backorder AGAIN! Rediculous! For that price, they should be producing for the demand or don't advertise! It's messing me all up! SO MAD!!!!Read More Read Less

This is a very dangerous medication and you should be warned, I have been vomiting nonstop for two days!! I can’t even stomach my essential pills for my heart or pain!! I can even eat apple sauce without projectile vomiting every last grain of it!!! Even Gatorade I can’t stomach! It’s going on day two and it’s getting better but yeah you will loose weight in a pinch if you POISON YOURSELF!!! I have felt hungover for days now with no relief!! Never again I will just count calories from now on!!

I'm on week 6 and on 2nd step up in strength. The first 4 weeks were rough. I was hungry all the time, but could only eat a couple of bites and my stomach felt full! But then I was hungry again in about 30 minutes. I just suffered through it and lost 12 lbs. This 2nd round is better. Hunger has finally subsided and I've lost 3lbs per week - 18 lbs total. I have found that Pepcid has helped with nausea and occasionally I've laid down because of dizziness, but all-in-all I've been happy with results. Sam's Club Pharmacy has been helpful in ordering my next set of injections a little early so they are available when I need them.Read More Read Less

I am 42 years old and have a 27 BMI. I started with Wegovy at .25. Unfortunately, it didn't do anything - not even curve my appetite. Due to lack of supply, I lasted 2 weeks without any medication. I jumped up to 1.7 because .50 and .10 were out of stock until further notice in my area. I am on my last week of last applicator and I feel horrible. I am nauseas everyday, like pregnant morning sickness. I have extreme skin sensitivity, specially on my back and I feel like my bones are freezing all day no matter how many sweaters/blankets I put on. I can't be with to AC, I still like I'm freezing. Also, I noticed that my tonsils hurt and feel inflamed almost like when getting strep but it hasn't worsen just remains bothersome and feel somewhat swollen. My appetite has definitely decreased and I force myself to eat so I can have a little energy. I'm exhausted and cold all day long with extreme skin sensitivity. I have lost @6 lbs but I think I have lost more Fat % vs actual scale weight. My clothes is fitting loose. I just wish these side effects weren't as horrific. Is anyone else experiencing Skin Sensitivity/chills?Read More Read Less

I have been taking the drug for 4 months and lost 40 pounds. Overall, I am very happy with the results but have had some significant side effects. Once starting the 1.7 mg I have noticed increased nausea and abdominal pain. As well, recently had two separate times of vomiting and diarrhea, the last being the worst thinking I may have to visit the ER. I was able to recover but since have had abdominal pain. I'm concerned after reading the effects for others that I should stop taking the drug. However, I've had such good results I would rather push through and hope they go away. Several users commented side effects go away after 6+ months of usage. Read More Read Less
