Weeks 1-4 on 0.25. Hunger diminished, exercising regularly, riding my bike daily. Week 5 I started .5 and that's where this story unfortunately will end. I cannot explain how sick I am. I've had a hiatal hernia which is dormant for 20 or more years, I take nexium daily. It's I describable how sick I've been. Vomiting, diarrhea, sulphur burps, queasy stomach, feels like a brick is on my ...

I started Wegovy 0.25mg on 8/26/21 weighing in at 198.6lbs. I have been eating low calorie since then which has been easy to do because my appetite has decreased dramatically! I am super surprised because today I am down 5.4lbs! The only side effect so far is very mild nausea which comes and goes but is very manageable. I would definitely recommend this medication for weight loss! I also want to add that I have struggled with PCOS for years which has made weight loss very difficult.

Week 2 of wegovy I got appendicitis and had to have surgery to have my appendix out. I'm not sure what to do, the wegovy was working for sure! I'm MUCH less hungry! But I'm also scared that I may get pancreatitis next as it's also a common complication of wygovy?? I'm calling my Dr Monday to discuss this. Sitting in the hospital now revering from surgery??

Started at .5mg no real nausea, I would have a few bouts of the runs the first week. However I had gastric bypass a few years back so my stomach is always off. Yet this didn’t make it any worse. Has taken urges away to snack and really simply eat. I don’t feel terribly full yet could be because I have a small stomach to begin with and I eat small meals to begin with. First week only threw up once. Second week no issues and now into my third week. I am disappointed in the weight loss so far in 18 days only lost 4.4 pounds and that is eating average 600 calories per day, keeping carbs under 80 per day and working out 3-4x per week. I was truly hoping for a jump in my weight loss. I feel ready to move onto 1.0 after my 4th shot. the shot itself I don’t even feel it I jsur feel the pressure of the pen kn my thigh which I recommend upper thigh. as for the benefits I cannot see. I am barely pre diabetic 5.7 A1c and this medicine hasn’t caused me to have low blood sugar that I can tell, even with keeping to under 80g carbs per say. So I hope this is helping my pancreas and getting me out of the ore diabetic zone for good. My insurance doesn’t cover and I have the discount savings card from Novo for six months which I understand they stopped for anyone new after 8-16 but I am able to get 5 more month supplies. There is a shortage and I had to call around and luckily found a pharmacy a bit far to fill my 1.0 box. More to follow when i move onto 1.0 Read More Read Less

This is the end of my second week on Wegovy. I have lost about 7 lbs and quite happy with those results. The first day of injection has been the worse for me accompanied with an annoying headache. I sometimes felt mild acid reflux and nausea that I normally calm with a soda and crackers. I endure dry mouth along with an irritating bitter or nasty taste in my mouth. Other times, I just feel off kilter and can't identify a specific symptom. But I am really concerned about my fatigue which I felt more the second week. I noticed only a few people mentioned that side affect. My appetite has largely diminished. (Actually, the joy of craving a particular food and satisfying that craving is done). When I do, eat pretty much anything will do. With busy 12 hour work days, I often don't eat at all. I conclude that may be attributing to the lethargy. I have succumbed to drinking pedialyte regularly and intend on drinking more water. I am getting through the day OK but can't wait to lie down when I get home (unusual for me). A few co-workers have commented on my lack of energy and luster, so to speak. Perhaps Week 3 will be better. I'm fighting to endure the "cons" for the desired result. I get married in November and would love to be about 30-40 lbs lighter for the wedding. If I happen to reach that goal, I will probably refrain from taking it and work hard to keep the weight off.Read More Read Less

I’m currently on my 6th dose at .5mg. So far I’ve lost 11 lbs with no exercise. The needle is very small and I can hardly feel it. I’m injecting into my thigh. Pros: I’m not hungry at all so I have to force myself to eat. When I do eat I eat very little. Cons: I get really nauseated especially on day of injection and day after. The other days are more tolerable. Every now and then I experience some heartburn which subsides with over the counter meds. All in all the drug is working! I can deal with the minor side effects as long as I’m getting great results. Im eating a lot less and losing weight as a result. I will try to incorporate exercise this week to speed up the weight loss. ??Read More Read Less

Hi everyone, I am 33 years old and weigh 240. I have been on Wengovy for two weeks and just started my 3rd week today. I have lost 5 pounds since I started the medication. The only side effects I have noticed is gas and that is only a day or two after the injection. (On belly) the injection itself does not hurt. I find that it gives me a bit more energy throughout the day. I do notice that eating sugar or things that contain any sugar like fruit make me nauseous along with over eating. But I still do get very hungry throughout the day. I find that I cannot eat as much as before starting this medication. I have changed my diet and started walking on a daily basis. I started Wegovy 4 weeks ago and lost nothing. Then Pen is irritating because you have to push hard to inject. Wish it worked for me.

I am new to this and have only been on it one day. I lost 2.5 over night. Hope it continues. I feel less hungry and have a bit of heartburn but an antiacid helped. I am hopeful for progress toward my goal.

I'm in Chicago and cannot get a prescription anywhere - I need the second cycle (0.5) but can't get any that or the third cycle. My doctor gave me the first cycle. From this forum, seems like everyone is able to get the prescription filled. Anyone having the same issue?

The pen to administer is terrible. Have to push very hard into injection site to get it to click. If I'm pushing into fat in stomach area can push inches deep with no click triggered. the clicks are loud and obnoxious, the injection hurts When to pull away from injection site is not clear because the second click is NOT when to pull away. if giving on upper arm, hard to see yellow bar. the saxenda injections were SO much easier, I give the Wegovy pen an D-

Started out on .25 dose and lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks The last 4 weeks I have lost an additional 6 pounds. I am just not that hungry so my portion sizes are way down. And if I overeat I am punished with feeling too full for hours after. I had some nausea and diarrhea the first week. But now no noticeable side effects. This has been a miracle for me. Bumping up the dose to .5 next week.

Sorry to post here, but I am hoping to get advice from those who have started taking Wegovy. How did you find a qualified doctor to start the process? Did you just use your standard family doctor or did you locate someone with specific knowledge of Wegovy? If the latter, how did you find them? I tried Novo Nordisk, but they were unable to refer to anyone local (St Paul, MN). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am currently on week 2 of the .25 dosage and what I’ve found is that I am simply not as interested in eating as I normally would be, and eat significantly less at each meal. I’ve also found it easier to bypass the candy bowl at work. I’ve made no changes to exercise or to the types of foods I eat, yet I have managed to lose 4 pounds in 1.5 weeks. I did find that if I eat my dinner too late, I end up throwing it up, but that’s the only side effect I’ve seen. I don’t mind it, because it serves as a behavior modifier. I also seem to have boundless energy, but that may only be coincidental. I’m extremely pleased with my experience.Read More Read Less

Just stuck myself today with the week 5 at .5. Previous four weeks were at .25. Injections have been totally painless. No nausea. So unpleasant side effects. The main effect is that I am just rarely hungry and it does not take much for me to feel full when I do eat. Only lost a couple of pounds so far.

I have been on Wegovy two weeks now...I started out with the .5 dose since getting the .25 was impossible. My first shot, I did have vomiting about 8 hours later and nausia the first day. However, food intake is way down. The full feeling has really helped me cut out snacking. I am drinking lots of water ( 96 ounces plus a day) and I am sure the first week was a lot of water weight loss, but 8.8 pounds the first week. I have upped my exercise game to ensure I continue the downward trend. No side effects so far with the second shot. I make sure I drink a protein drink.I doubt week 2 will be as good as week one, but reading these reviews it seems I am doing really well in just the first week. For a person that has struggled and stressed about weight gain my whole life, this simple shot has changed my outlook and I do believe lossing the weight is gonna happen. I am super pumped as I take the 6 month journey ( that $25 card) and see where this goes. Read More Read Less

I just started on my second week of the .5mg dose. I haven't experienced any nausea, vomiting or abdominal pain. The first symptom I noticed was a headache while on the .25mg dose. Second was the decreased appetite and the feeling of fullness after consuming very little. I have also experienced belching, but the most significant side effect has been the overwhelming feeling of fatigue for the first few days after dosing.I started on Wegovy on 7/21/21 after a 3 week delay due to insufficient supply. I have lost 8lbs overall so far. I am happy to continue on the course!Read More Read Less
