Had been on Advair for 10 yrs and gladly switched 5/2019 as my out of pocket limit was going way up under new plan. Same drugs and dosage but the delivery to the system seems less effective. With Advair I could miss a dose or be a few hours late and I wouldnâ??t even notice it. Now, I need to be really careful to take it exactly 12 hrs apart as thereâ??s no margin. Also I think I have to be more c...

I have been using Advair fo years with perfect control. I haven't had to use a rescue inhaler for at least five years. During the first month on Wixela, I have had to use my rescue inhaler about 7 times, so my asthma is no longer controlled. I reviewed some of the studies, and Wixela should work, so I am surprised it hasn't worked for me, and don't know why.

Like so many others, I have been using Advair with success for over a decade. On the refill I received of my last RX, the mail order pharmacy my insurance recently began forcing me to use sent Wixela Inhub. I was initially annoyed and frustrated with the delivery device. It is clunky and not ergonomic; it took me a few days to get the hang of it. I've been using the 250/50 2x/day for about 4 months. In that time, my asthma has gotten worse. I now feel winded just walking up a flight of stairs or a small hill. My chest rattles when I lie down at night, and my voice has become hoarse. I constantly feel like I need to clear my throat. I rinse my mouth and brush my teeth immediately after taking this medication. Nothing else in my routine has changed. Update: I stopped taking Wixela Inhub and within a day and a half, the hoarseness went away, and my chest is not rattling when I lie down to sleep at night. I'm currently fighting with insurance to get Advair covered again, in the meantime, I am not taking Wixela. Read More Read Less

Was on Advair for years. Had to take this because of insurance reasons. First week of using it my asthma worsened. Also got thrush! Glad I got a GoodRX card so I didn't have to pay full price for Advair. Yay, Advair!!!

If it wasn't required I would give 0 stars. I fainted twice and feel lucky to be alive had not it been for getting advair again. To me it is useless.

I used the brand name product for many years. On retirement I could no longer afford it. Tried individual inhalers from India. Worked OK. Finally got on wife's insurance and was able to get this product. Very happy with it.

I absolutely hate this medication. Have been on Advair for over 15 years with amazing results. Due to insurance change in January I’m forced to try Wixela. Not only have I experienced more bronchospasm but now I’m fighting my second about with Thrush! I’ve only been on this medication for a few months.

Wixela is junk. Unless you take it every hour all day long it is not effective. The doctors who prescribe this over Advair must not know much about it because it is not a like for like generic drug to Advair. Take the product off the market!

Since being switched to Wixela, I get out of breath more frequently when doing normal chores. Also, I didn't have a cough, but now I do.

Have used Advair for years and the pharmacy started giving me the generic Wixela. Since using the Wixela my breathing has gotten worse and I get short of breath quicker. I've tried on two occasions of get the Advair back and for some reason they keep giving me the Wixela. They need to take Wixela off the market.

I used the 250/50 for as long as I can remember, but when I lost insurance and it changed to $375 month, I had to do breathing treatments instead. When they came out with Wixela I started that. Since using Wixela (about 6 months), I have been coughing a lot more, and spitting up weird phlegm. So I spent $1000 to get a lung xray to make sure I am ok, they said it was fine. I am trying to get Advair back again at a reasonable cost.

Asthma has been well controlled until I used this brand. Since being on this I have had to use my rescue inhaler multiple times a day everyday.

Thought I was going to die because it prevented me from being able to breathe. Took me 3 days to figure out it was the Wixela the insurance company had me get in place of my 20 years of taking Advair with no problems.I would have gone to the Emergency Room but I was scared to because of the Corona Virus. What a predicament.....They should not even allow this to be on the market! I also got headaches and some tremors, but the tremors could be because I kept using my fast-acting inhaler so much in order to try to get some air into me. It was the most terrifying experience I have had in a long time. I am 71 and I thought I would die. I couldn't even get to my 32 yr old son or call out to him in his room to help me get the concentrator pulled over to an outlet to plug in.Read More Read Less

I do not feel like I'm receiving enough medication when I inhale it in. I've gone to doubling the dosage, but don't feel it makes a difference. It doesn't go into my lungs like Advair did. I've gotten used to the packaging, but do not like it at all - someone didn't do a good job designing the way you put your lips around the mouth piece and inhale. This could be part of the problem of why it doesn't get into my lungs as easily. You're sucking into a small area in your mouth instead of using more of your mouth to inhale everything in like the way the Advair inhaler is designed.Read More Read Less
