I have had inflammatory acne since I was a teenager, and I'm now 40 years old. The flare-ups mainly occur on my chin, around the mouth, and jawline. During a particularly bad stage, my dermatologist prescribed Seysara and noted that it was the first new treatment he had been able to offer acne patients in many years. After 3 weeks, my acne was much better. After 6 weeks, I have no breakouts at...

I took 150mg prescription recommended by a Dr. for almost 8 months. My acne was not terrible, but visible. Approximately into the 8 months I started to experience pain in my stomach. I brushed it off thinking it was nothing. 1 week later I could not hold any food down and was continously nauseous or sick at the sight of food. I had an extreme pain in my upper right abdomen and decided to go to ...

I am a sophomore in college and i've been taking Seysara for almost two months and haven't even noticed the slightest improvement in my acne. I struggle with cystic acne a lot on my forehead and this medication hasn't seem to help at all since I started.

I had severe cystic acne my freshman year of college. After trying many medication I knew I did not want to go on accutane. Within 3 months of taking saysara I noticed a huge differencein my skin. There was no scarring left and it doesnt make you sensitive to the sun like doxycycline!

I brushed it off thinking it was nothing. 1 week later I could not hold any food down and was continously nauseous or sick at the sight of food. I had an extreme pain in my upper right abdomen and decided to go to the Dr. The sent me for labs and the pain got worse so I went to the ER. Upon admission to the ER my blood and labs were immediately done. My AST and ALT levels were are 2k and 3k. Normal rage is 20-30. I spent 4 days in the hospital until my levels came down some. It was the scariest moment health wise I have had. This is my experience. Read More Read Less

Seysara stopped whiteheads from showing up and my active zits from popping, but now, even after I stopped treatment, I am left with these weird, hard nodules on my face that I had never gotten before taking the meds. They last 2-3 weeks and as soon as one leaves another one comes up. It’s painful and I honestly would rather have acne than have these.

After 3 weeks, my acne was much better. After 6 weeks, I have no breakouts at all and am remaining clear day after day. The only drug that worked as quickly for me was Ceftin, another antibiotic with much harsher side effects. Seysara side effects are minimal. I did notice an increase in mild headaches at first, but they subsided. I would recommend trying this drug for acne. Read More Read Less
