Plenvu kit had 2 packets. The first was Mango (16 oz) which tasted like salt water mango but better than the gross tasting stuff from others. Drank another 16 oz at 5 and had cleanout start around 6:30 pm. Then 2nd packet(s) was Tropical fruit flavor salt water. Still very tolerable. I was very full after both. The 2nd packet I took at 3 am and basically had complete clean out by 4:30 am but still...

you get diarrhoea to the point where you are incontinently passing dirty water. In this condition I was supposed to travel 20 miles for a colonoscopy. I had to cancel after 3 days preparation. A total waste of money everyone's time and 3 days of my life. What do these people use for brains?

This is my second colonoscopy , the first was using an enenama a lot easier than having to take this plenvu drink which was not a nice experience , not easy to drink and a nasty toilet experience, didn’t have these problems with the first enenama it was faster and easier to cope with.

Hello everyone I am in the UK I have taken plenvu 4 times in 8 months for colonoscopys including removing 60cm tumour and 14 polyps. This prep is evil once you have had it once the dread of taking it again is worse as you know what to expect. but it is necessary for the procedure for the doctor/surgeon to do the job with clear vision of your Bowel/colon/intestine.i can barely drink the first sachet of mango flavour down in 60 minutes in what i can only describe as concentrated mango salt water.then 3 hours later taking the other 2 sachets of fruit punch flavour that you have to mix together before drinking. and this is worse than the first dose To me this tastes like concentrated marzipan salt water it is vile so much so my body after getting it down automatically tries to reject it but I force myself to keep it down.and during the process of taking both preparations like everyone else reading this I'm running to the toilet regularly for hours. However it is very effective. And after my very first experience of plenvu I found a better way to take it the next time. On each dose I put it in 3 glasses and took them 20 minutes apart occasionally taking them a bit earlier to try and finish it quicker.but what I also do is 5 days before my colonoscopy I do not eat anything solid but drink meal replacement shakes for 3 days then just drink fizzy drinks or tea or coffee with no milk.then there will be hardly any solids when starting to take plenvu so I always take the first dose of plenvu and attempt the 2nd dose but I only manage to take half the second dose on occasion due to my body rejecting it.but as I have not eaten anything solid for 5 days and was just drinking fluids. the plenvu that I had did not have to work so hard and goes through a lot easier as there is only a small amount of matter in my bowel for it to remove. That is how I manage plenvu. And as I'm writing this I have my 5th colonoscopy in a couple of days time and going through the process again. The actual colonoscopy itself is OK taking the prep is the worst part for me.Read More Read Less

The 1st dose was bearable but I had slight nausea. The second dose was horrendous! It was hard to drink because of the taste. The second dose didn't just give me slight nausea, it made me feel physically sick. Would take the actual procedure 10x over than having the prep

I read these reviews while trying to drink the first dose sachet and struggling, and let’s say they definitely made me feel worse! The first sachet is hard to get down, the flavour is horrible and it feels like an unbearable amount of liquid to drink with that taste. I recommend using a straw and having another drink to hand as chaser. Drink it slowly, even slower than the instructions if you’re struggling like I was, just make sure you drink all of it. The second dose was not as bad in my opinion. I mixed it the night before and left it in the fridge, then drank it with a straw the next morning. Drink lots and lots of plain water with it. You’ll be in the bathroom a lot so make sure you’re in comfortable clothing, I got very cold from losing so much liquid at once so slippers were a must! Good luck & go slowly. Don’t let the reviews scare you too much!Read More Read Less

awful but effective product. First batch was nasty but managed to get it down the second however took me far longer to get down and by the near end I was fighting the strong urge to be sick. Left me with shakes and flu like symptoms. Did what it said in the tin but the flavour is just vile its a wonder I didn't puke it all up.

This is entirely too salty. It's impossible to drink compared to the jug of liquid. This is impossible to drink

I had some Cherrios and a bananna for breakfast on the day before and could have (according to the instructions on the box) had a light lunch. That evening, around 4 PM I took the first round. It tasted a bit like peaches with a nice fruity finish. The "purges" started about 45 min later and continued for about an hour with sporadic returns to the throne. "The day of" I got up at 4 AM and started Round II, Reactions about a half hour later continued for an hour or so. By that time it was "all clear" at the base station. I sat and binged on some old Longmire shows until going in for the inspection at 9 AM This stuff is WAY better than the old juice. . Read More Read Less

I’m an 81 year old woman, and in contrast to other reviews, I had a positive experience with Plenvu. I took the first dose in the evening at 6 pm, then began emptying around 7:30. I even did some gardening after taking it. It tasted fine, much better than other prep drinks I’ve had. Second dose was at 8 the next morning, and I was pretty much in the bathroom nonstop until I left at 11 for a noon colonoscopy. The only issue I had was that at 1 pm, when I was still waiting to go into surgery, I was still leaking quite a bit. Thankfully I wore an adult diaper, with extra pads inside. But although the 2nd dose was easy, in the future I would take it way more than 4 hours ahead.Read More Read Less

It should be illegal to give this product to people who have bowel issues. There must be a gentler way. The taste is vile, both doses equally bad. Like the remains of a fruit salad vomited up in an alleyway. I can still taste it 2 days later. I sprayed liquid out of my back passage for 15 hours, got no sleep & lost every ounce of fluid from my body, whilst simultaneously losing my will to live & any hopes of having an operating anus again. The expulsions after the first dose were what I would imagine expelling battery acid would be like. It did clear me out to be fair but it’s brutal. I wouldn’t take this again. The recovery time was too long for me. Read More Read Less

My third colon prep and the worse by far. The taste was sickeningly sweet. I started having explosive diarrhea before I finished the dose and it lasted for hours. The second dose was so salty that had to drink so much to fight the dry mouth. Worst of all it contains aspartame which is notorious for causing gas and bloating. Not cool when already having GI issues. Very expensive for a bowel prep. NEVER again

Its like trying to swallow a rotten banana whole and causes me to nearly vomit every sip. Whoever designed this is a psychopath who needs to be locked up for thinking this is a good solution to colon prep.

The taste of both flavors is indescribable. Overly sweet and incredibly salty. I choked down dose 1 starting at 4pm and started "evacuating" an hour after I started the dose. That went on for 1.5 hours and I never felt very bad. I needed to start dose 2 at 5am. For some reason, I had a really hard time getting dose 2 down. Not sure if it was the flavor, the different ingredients compared to dose 1, my empty stomach or something else. I was so surprised to see aspartame as one of the ingredients. I steer clear of artificial sweeteners and don't understand how a doctor could prescribe a product that contains them. I started on the toilet 5 minutes after finishing dose 2. Before I could finish the 16 oz of clear fluid (I couldn't tolerate anything except water at this point), I started vomiting. This totally shocked and surprised me! I was able to finish my water and continued to go to the bathroom for a total of 4.5 hours, even while waiting for my procedure to start at the hospital. I was exhausted, shaky, cold and bloated. But I was cleaned out. So Plenvu worked for me, but the physical toll seemed high. I will research my options next time around.Read More Read Less

Didn't taste great but it's not meant to. Perfectly drinkable. Started working within 30 minutes. Second dose not as bad as the first - it's basically a shedload of vitamin C- and quick but manageable effect. Drink plenty of water. The very negative experience of most of the people on this forum was definitely not my experience.

I had to finish my colonoscopy prep with 10 ounces of this brand and nearly gagged and threw up. Very thick and salty compared to SUFLAVE which actually tasted pleasant.

Nobody likes this procedure and the preparation is the worst but I have to say the sachets of gloop were not too bad , they claim to have made them fruity and the content is a lot less than Picolax. No cramping or sickness, I read the negative reviews and just want to reassure future user that's its ok. Colonoscopy was today and got the thumbs up for a good prep ??

Terrible taste. Still having bowel movements 2 hours 45 mins after finishing dose 2 - nearly 1am and need to go to bed but daren,t as need to be up for 8am to travel to Hospital for colonoscopy. In the past I have had Picolaxn3 times, Moviprep twice and Plenvu once. My preference is Picolax , Moviprep then Plenvu. Picolaxis perhaps a little brutal but it is all over much quicker and the taste is not as bad.

It is not that bad as other reviews make out! 53M. Was bunged up in days prior so did a dose of a laxative a few days earlier. Had dose 1 of plenvu at 8pm night before. Started working in 30 mins. I had set up everything in our bathroom so was camped in there for about 2 hours. The dose was not so great to taste but drinking from a straw and following up with lemonade or water made it ok. Dose 2 was refrigerated from night before and really cold. Sipped it with alternating apple juice, water and flavoured no sugar mineral water. Was easier than dose 1. Effect kicked in about 20 mins after starting. Was pretty constant for next hour or so. Be prepared before hand. Have different drink options in easy reach. Stay super hydrated. You got this!Read More Read Less

Within one hour of the first dose I had collapsed on the toilet floor, followed by two further collapsing in the bedroom. Refused to take the second dose, Appointment cancelled, three weeks later still absolutely drained of all physical strength. The individual who proscribed this product to a 88 year old man with a medical history of Bowel problems should be prosecuted. My advice, refuse to take this vile life shortening product.
