Plenvu kit had 2 packets. The first was Mango (16 oz) which tasted like salt water mango but better than the gross tasting stuff from others. Drank another 16 oz at 5 and had cleanout start around 6:30 pm. Then 2nd packet(s) was Tropical fruit flavor salt water. Still very tolerable. I was very full after both. The 2nd packet I took at 3 am and basically had complete clean out by 4:30 am but still...

you get diarrhoea to the point where you are incontinently passing dirty water. In this condition I was supposed to travel 20 miles for a colonoscopy. I had to cancel after 3 days preparation. A total waste of money everyone's time and 3 days of my life. What do these people use for brains?

This prep doesn't work. I called my doctor after 4 hours of nothing and they switched me to another route using Miralax and Magnesium Citrate. Also, it is the most vile tasting concoction I've ever had to endure for a colonoscopy prep. Now I understand the huge number of poor reviews.

I was going in for a routine colonoscopy. No stomach or bowel issues. I have had two colonoscopies in the past with no problems, using Happy Colon. Drinking the first dose was horrid, and I felt sick all night. I became violently ill after very slowly drinking the second dose of Plenvu. I was dizzy, sweating, severe stomach cramping, began projectile vomiting, then fainted. Absolutely horrid experience! I was deathly ill! Then I later researched and read tons of reviews with patients that had similar horrific experiences. I wonder why my physician recommended this prep?? When I was taken to my physician's office my blood pressure was sky high, and it is always normal and excellent. I still have a horrific after taste and symptoms of stomach cramping and nausea. I would never take this bowel prep again, nor would I recommend it to any of my friends. Read More Read Less

This is my 3rd colonoscopy and by far my most difficult prep. I don’t know if I can even adequately communicate how vile plenvu has been for me. The taste of the first pouch is pretty standard for bowel prep formulas. Maybe a little worse than some, but at least it’s not a huge amount. But the second pouch!! Literally felt like I would throw up after every swallow. I did all the tricks: very cold, use a straw. Just for reference, I’m the *least* picky eater. There are probably fewer than 10 foods that I’ve found distasteful in my entire life. But this second pouch was REPULSIVE.Read More Read Less

I will never use this prep again. Wuhan mango flavour dilutes with a bucket of the Dead Sea - warm viscousy evilness. Second flavour was even worse - so challenging to get down. 4th prep and by far the most evil tasting. Traumatising and miraculously I only vomited once.

Swallowing wasn’t too bad but the acidity of the product left a very sore rear end for a few days afterwards. Never experienced this with similar meds previously. Will avoid in future.

This product is the most barbaric substance on the planet. I have never felt so ill. surely there must be another more humane way to clean the bowel. This is truly horrendous. Never again

First dose movement went on forever so brought second dose forward an hour or I wouldn’t have been able to leave in time to go to hospital. Felt sick as soon as I started drinking it, then threw up a bit just before I finished the last bit. Left the rest of it and moved to the water. After about 200ml, projectile vomiting everywhere so took longer to drink the water than half hour. Never again will I touch this poison.

OMG...How are you expected to drink 500ml of this utterly vile drink? Sitting here now really struggling, dreading Pt2 in morning, no chance of me getting another 500ml down me...feel sick already.

This was the worst tasting prep I have ever taken! I was so nauseous when I drank the second dose, I started projectile vomiting before I could finish it. Would never use this prep again, and I would strongly recommend not using it.

This is by far the worst bowel prep I have used and this is the fourth time I have done a colonoscopy. First, the taste is awful. It is like undiluted cordial. Getting it down is a real challenge. Secondly, the prep caused significant cramping and discomfort. My stomach "growled", churned and was swollen and distended for multiple hours. It was extremely uncomfortable, even painful. Furthermore, when I needed to evacuate my bowels, there was no warning whatsoever and it continued for hours and hours after taking the prep. Previous preps I have used have been in and out in a short period. I was actually throwing up repeatedly on the morning of my procedure. Finally, the evacuation of water from my bowel continued until around 16 hours after I had finished taking the prep. That is AFTER my procedure was over. Read More Read Less

It was certainly the worst thing that I had to swallow in my life. The first dose with mango flavour was the worst, a lot of sugar, unpleasantly sweetened, here I found mango fruit was badly insulted by plenvu. Second dose was not as hard as dose one to finish draining down to the stomach. I pumped it the out at the end of first dose. Second dose without major trouble. Tips Mix it properly until fully dissolves in the water Dont forget to refrigerate it after mixing Dont let first part of tongue to feel the taste and send the message about the worst taste to brain Keep aside your favourite clear fluid that is allowed to drink to alternate Dnt forget to apply lotion on bumppy Stay positive, you may be are about to find the answer to the trouble you are experiencing in ur digestive system?? It’s effective, but why is it so sweet? It’s so horrible I thought I’d vomit more than once. Especially after a whole day without any food.

Prepare before hand: plastic sheet; pack of bed liners; twenty pairs of knickers or twenty pull-ups. Mop & bucket. That’s on top of the recommended baby wipes and vasoline and fluids & no fibre diet prep. The only sleep I got was an exhausted hour finally, just before the alarm went off for the second dose, upon which I woke to a bed flooded with runny shit. How will I get to the hospital without an accident? The last colonoscopy treatment prep was no way like this.

It tastes awful, sweet and salty but not impossible to drink. Why they oversweeten these drinks I will never know, why not leave the flavour of the basic product which would be no worse. It’s effective and just as unpleasant than other bowel preps I have taken, but there is no alternative so it has to be taken.

Plenvu had to b the worst prep I have ever experienced, I had a difficult time getting any of it down, especially the 2nd half . The prep didn’t work as well as others , even tho I had prepared ahead of time . I was very disappointed and will never take that prep again, it caused nausea so bad and the aftertaste stayed with me for days !!!

Had to take 2 separate doses of this in preparation for a colonoscopy at 8 am the next day. First dose was at 4pm, mango flavour powder that you mix with a pint of water, then drink slowly, ensuring it's all gone in an hour. As well as the mixture, you also have to drink an additional pint of water.. Tasted awful, very salty.. But did the trick. Was going to the loo an hour after my first sip.. The 2nd dose was in 2 sachets at 7pm..fruit punch flavour, quite easily the worst tasting out of the 2 flavours.. Again, mix with a pint of water, as well as drinking an additional pint of water.. I was then going to the toilet around every 4 or 5 minutes, all through the night, then it started to ease around 3am..at around 4 am I was passing clear liquid, this continued until 15 minutes before my colonoscopy.. They don't mind the liquid that comes from your body being clear, as they can still go ahead with the procedure, however, if you still have diarrhea they can't do it.. Your colon has to be clear... All in all, you are on the toilet a long time!! For me, it was over 15 hours... Read More Read Less

The second dose made me nauseous for hours followed by vomiting on several occasions. I will never use it again, it was an horrendous experience because of the disgusting taste which caused the vomiting.

Vommitted 11 times with this and first time I ever Vommitted blood, which was very alarming. Was horrible to drink, very sweet and sickening. I did drink it slowly and had drank water in between every mouthful of plenvu. I hadn't read the side effects prior to drinking it but when I read side effects they were alarming. I continued to drink it despite being suck since I needed bowel to empty. Bowels did empty but I suffered with this prep. Hope it can be improved.

- Works as well as other similar bowel preps. - Tastes as bad as them, even if the second dose tastes a bit more pleasantly. - Found it easier to finish compared to other similar bowel preps. - In my case, it didn't have an immediate effect, that I appreciated, other bowel preps start working right away and that's not always helpful. - To those who complain about its effectiveness, remember that's more down to you not having done a good job with the whole preparation. I stopped red meat and all whole food not 3 days before, as advised, but a week before. And also, you need to start decreasing the portion of food you're having 3 days before the procedure. If you keep eating a lot or a normal amount of food, obviously your colon will be fuller and more difficult to empty Read More Read Less
