40yo, male. I've had Hep C 1a for ~20 years. Viral load before mavyret was 8,000,000. I just finished 4 weeks and got bloodwork. Hep C not detected already after only 4 weeks! I read reviews all the time before I started and worried about side effects. Just here to let everyone know that there were absolutely no side effects, all my liver tests are already in the green and Hep C is gone. Don't be afraid to take this medicine, just do it. Abbvie patient assistance people were very easy to deal with and got me the medicine for free since I'm uninsured. Read More Read Less

I was told 2 years ago at I had antibodies to Hep C and undetectable viral load, that was the first time I ever even knew #1 that I was ever infected and #2 that Spontaneous Clearance of Hep C was a thing. About 4 mos ago I'm told my liver enzymes are thru the roof and I have HEP C Genotype 2-B and need d treatment, started Mavyreyt a week ago so far no side effects ?? Good or Bad !

After only a short time taking this medication, my husband began having suicidal thoughts. Thanks to all the honest reviews here, I was able to know what to watch for. He very quickly became angry and irritable after starting and 2 weeks in he just said he has been having suicidal thoughts. Please monitor your loved ones while on this medication and again thank you all for the honest reviews.

Hep C 20+ years. Liver was always fine until last year, now have cirrhosis. On week 7 of Mayvret and liver enzymes normal after 2 weeks and blood test today showed normal enzymes again so extremely hopeful hep c test will be normal also. Some headache and fatigue and very achey joints but I’ll take it!! Tried harvoni 7 years ago but stopped after 3 weeks due to side effects. Was extremely fearful of taking Mayvret but so thankful I am. Do not wait even if you have no liver damage. Huge mistake on my part. Hep C will win if you ignore it. All my best to all of you!Read More Read Less

I am a 30 year old woman with Hep C. I was so nervous to take this medication because of some of the reviews I read on here. I even put off taking it for 4 months because I was so scared of it making me horrible sick or depressed or something else. I have now been on the mavyret 5 weeks out of 8 weeks and it has been great. Before I started the mavyret I was getting horrible headaches atleast once a day and I just felt bad from the hep c. After being on the mavyret for only one week, my headaches went away completely and I started to feel really good throughout the day. I decided to take the mavyret at night before bed because I was afraid that if it did upset my stomach or give me headaches that I would be able to sleep through it. I started taking it with a big bowl of cereal every night and drink the milk from the cereal too because it helps to dissolve the pills. I take my pills at 2 am every night before bed... that's what time I go to sleep every night. Since day one of taking this I have not had any side effects except some soft stools around week 3 to week 5 (now) but it is not painful. I feel confident when I go to the doctor in 3 weeks that my hep c will be gone. Like, I said...I put off taking this for so long because I was scared and some of the reviews I read sounded horrible so I'm putting my review out here so maybe it will help someone. You can do this! It's worth it...just start it, remember to take all 3 pills the same time everyday and eat with the pills...good luck! Read More Read Less

Although according to my doctor the medication " cured" me the side effects have been HELL. And guess what?? The worst part came after treatment so much FATIGUE its like I'm on chemo. So much weight loss went from 180 to 145 I look like concentration camp refugee ( no disrespect intended) would NOT recommend this to anyone

The side effects are all understated by my Dr and the MFGR. Muscle cramps, insomnia, itching and diarrhea has been unbearable. I haven’t slept more than 1.5-2 hours at a time, without a 3-4 hour time of being awake and unable to sleep in between. All of the anti-itch things I’ve been given have not worked. I’ve been given nothing for the muscle cramps. I’m taking 12-16 Imodium or day, just to get out the door to work or the store. I have felt extremely depressed and verging on the edge of suicide and suicidal thoughts so much over the past 5 weeks. I’m on week 5 of treatment. I’ve hated every day of this except maybe the first two days of treatment!!!! It’s been a living hell and symptoms have not decreased over the course of treatment, at all! I’m exhausted, depressed, hurting, and feeling like I have to quite the treatment, before I truly end up potentially killing myself from the depression, alone. Why does the cure more times than not be worse than the symptoms of the disease of original ailment? My Dr. & the mfgr did not speak to the magnitude of these symptoms I’ve had, and my Dr. Even said they’ve never heard anyone having depression from this medication. I haven’t had thoughts of killing myself before I started this medication. If I stop now, I may not be cured, and have to stop all over again later with some other med. I’m so, so tired, and I’ve never had depression like this, ever!!Read More Read Less

I am a 62 year old woman with Genotype 1a and viral load of 500,000
with no cirrhosis or fibrosis. I don't know how long I've had this, but, it was discovered on a routine check up in my bloodwork with elevated liver enzymes. I am on my 3rd week of treatment with Mavyret. At this point, I can honestly say I've had no side effects except for having to change what time of day I take it. I started taking it at night (7pm), but I found that it somewhat disturbed my stomach when I laid down to sleep and kept me from sleeping well. Thus, I changed to 7 in the morning. Other than that, I've had no side effects whatsoever and feel fine. I hope this continues thru treatment, and hopefully ends the virus! Thank-you Mavyret and insurance for getting me thru this.....Read More Read Less

I am on my last 10days of the 8 week Mayvret regiment and I am feeling happy about it almost being over. It was fine. I noticed that halfway through like by Thurs every week I would feel a smidge tired. First 2 wks I had a headache also but then it stopped. Would absolutely recommend! I'm looking forward to being cured after 20yrs of not having one. My ins paid for the entire treatment , as well.

After having Hep C for over 30 years from a blood transfusion, my liver enzymes were very high and my liver was damaged. I was given mavyret free of charge by the drug company and in two months my Hep C was totally cleared up. My liver enzymes are back to normal and I had no side effects whatsoever. 18 months later I am totally virus free. This company and drug saved my life. I highly recommend Mavyret and am so grateful to AbbVie.

After talking Mavryet for 12 weeks in 2018 I was diagnosed clear of HepC. My symtoms were tired and sluggish. I am type 1 and after getting 6 month check up in March of 2019, test still shows I am cured. Although I still do not have the energy I should have and have gained 30 lbs. However not sure is this is from the medicine.

I read all the feedback I could. I experienced NO adverse side effects. Took the drug for 8 weeks then just had liver enzymes tested again after 3 months... ALL CLEAR. In my case it definitely cured me. Take the plunge, DO IT!

Taken with food as directed has made my stomach at ease. I do experience tiredness but otherwise, I highly recommend this drug to HepC infected individuals. I had a great experience with this ??
