My acne has gotten worse after about 6 months of taking this. I have breakouts all month around my chin.

Pharmacist switched my prescription from Junel FE 1/20 to Noreth/e Es Fe(blisovi)tab 28 1/20 without consulting my doctor. Horrible side effects. Elevated/erratic mood swings (PMS all month, basically), random breast pain, swelling in legs and ankles (edema), irregular menstrual cycles, and an increase in menstrual cramping, headaches, and acne. Effective only in preventing pregnancy.

Been using this for almost 3 years now. Overall has been great. I was on an arm implant before this with continuous spotting and the moment I got on this it went away. Every once in a while I do get spotting if I miss a pill but normally never do. Keeps my periods regular and no pregnancy. I just miss the ease of not having to take it every day with my arm implant but best change ever. No weight gain and only slight change in my mood just because I’ve already been diagnosed with depression. May be different for others but great experience for me.Read More Read Less

The first month was great. But after 2 months I have constant bloating, constipation, and anxiety non-stop. I will be quitting.

I’ve been taking this for over 6 months. I’ve had no side effects, no nausea, no weight gain - and thankfully, no periods! No bleeding or cramps. Also, no pregnancy. I’m shocked by all the negative reviews. It’s perfect and works great for me

this is my first time taking birth control and so far blisovi has been good to me. i’ve only be taking it for five months but the first month was rough for me. i agree with the other reviews regarding anxiety, as i have always been an anxious person but i feel it has been a bit worse w this pill. however, it has cleared the acne on my face and i have little weight gain (only around 2lbs). i believe my experience seems to be rare from the majority.

I find it interesting that it has worked so well for me after reading all the negative reviews. I had unbearable periods with heavy bleeding and this was the first and only BC I have ever tried. The first month I spotted a little bit instead of bleeding, and from then on for the past 2 years I have had almost no bleeding, spotting, or cramping at all and no negative side effects other than mild dryness. Everyone is different I suppose.

This is my first time taking birth control pills and my GYN decided I had to stop taking them: I started to notice breast tenderness, darker urine than usual, darkening of my skin on my legs, mood swings, nausea, and stomach discomfort but then 3 weeks into taking this pill I started to experience pain in the middle of my chest as if I had something stuck in there or if someone had just punched me there.

This bc gave me so many side effects it’s not funny, acne, cramps, pain in my right with swelling, feeling sad/empty, migraine for two weeks straight non stop, a sick aching feeling everywhere in my body, than today I blow up like a volcano crying made sad anger just not me. To top that off dark yellow green pee color and an unusually strong smell which I’ve never had which the pharmacy who change my bc from June’s fe1/20 to blisovi fe 1/20 tried to say bladder infection which I have never had except once and it didn’t start this way. Read the side effects people. I can’t believe the pharmacy can just change your bc with out telling you or asking if this is okay with you. Than say oh it’s the same med for bc and it’s not my body feels its not the same and it’s telling me!Read More Read Less

Would NOT recommend this pill!!! I switched to Blisovi after taking the same pill for around 8 years. For the first few months it was fine; my periods were light and cramping was bearable. After the 4th month on Blisovi, I started experiencing horrible anxiety and depression. I’ve dealt with anxiety before but never like this. This pill made me want to crawl out of my body. 0/10 - not worth it at ALL

DO NOT take this birth control pill. It only took three days for me to figure out this was not the pill for me. I experienced fatigue, breast tenderness, itchy breast all of a sudden and ACNE. I’ve never had ance until now. I’m breaking out on my chin like crazy. STAY AWAY.

My pharmacy recently switched me from Aurovela Fe 1/20 to Blisovi Fe 1/20 and they reassured me it was the same. Oh how they were so wrong about that. On Aurovela, I had no issues at all. No heavy bleeding, acne, none of it. On Blisovi, I have been through 2 packs now and have had the 2 worst painful periods of my life. Heavy bleeding, severe cramps & back pain, nausea, you name it. This definitely did not work out for me & I will be switching birth control as soon as I can.

The pharmacy randomly switched me from Aurovela and I hated it. I gained 15lbs in 1.5 months, my anxiety was uncontrollable, my left nipple was constantly itchy, and I was constantly bloated. I felt very disconnected from my body. After about 4 months I switched and paid a ridiculous amount for LoLoestrin Fe - it's been a little better but not completely. I'm very much looking forward to my next appointment to talk about options.

Switched from Aurovela Fe 1/20, that I had been taking for months; it worked very well for me. Pharmacy randomly switched me over to Blisovi 1/20… I have had constant bleeding the entire month and have yet to reach the placebo week. Extreme cramps, pains, anxiety, amongst other side effects. Considering Aurovela Fe and Blisovi are supposed to be the same, this is concerning. Please spare yourself. Only helps in preventing acne and pregnancy.

I had been on Lo loestrin for years with no problems, but my insurance stopped covering it. There is no exact generic equivalent for Lo loestrin so I tried Blisovi which seemed like the closest generic available. My side effects were very uncomfortable. I had dry mouth, dry eyes, and vaginal dryness. I would wake up at night with my tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth, it was so dry. The vaginal dryness made sex painful and practically impossible. I got a UTI one month into taking Blisovi which I'm pretty sure was related to vaginal dryness and irritation. My periods were much longer than before with some painful cramping which was new for me. I tried to stick it out for 4 months thinking the side effects would get better, but nothing improved. I'm back on Lo loestrin now using the manufacturer's coupon to make it affordable, and all of the slide effects disappeared after one week of switching. Don't put up with the side effects from this generic! There are better birth control options out there!!Read More Read Less

At first I was loving the effects of this pill such as no more painful cramps, until I started to notice my hair was thinning. This pill caused me to have a slightly longer period as well. The cons weigh more than the pros.

HORRIBLE SIDE EFFECTS! Pharmacy switched to Blisovi FE without doctor's authorization after being on generic for heavy, painful periods. My daughter then started having HUGE headaches and pain to the point of nausea. No amount of Tylenol or Motrin could touch them. Breast soreness and breakthrough bleeding also. STAY AWAY!
