I've been on Metformin & Glimepiride for 8 1/2 years. My A1c had been in the low 6's until about 2 years ago when it got to the low 7's. Nothing helped - even Levemer. My doctor added Jardiance to my scripts in Feb. Just got my 1st quarterly blood work. My A1c went from 7.2 to 6.5! My bg rarely goes over 135 unless I eat something that I shouldn't. Sometimes I go for days without going over 100. E...

My severe clinical depression coincides with taking three weeks of taking an increased dose of Jardiance. I’ve never been this depressed for such a long period.(8 months) I believe it could be from the increase in Jardiance from 10 mg to 25 . Has anyone had a similar experience?

This medication now costs me $167 a month. I will ask my doctor to prescribe an alternative since I can no longer afford it.

Jardiance made my life miserable. I had constant yeast infections and felt unwell for the two years I was on this med. It did little or no good at all. My diabetes was out of control and my A1c was a whopping 8.2 when the doctor changed this med. I was constantly watching what I ate and exercising; it did little or no good. Even my husband noticed a change for the better after I discontinued and went on an a more effective med.

I am male 60+years old with type 2 that has so far been held in check with insulin. I started Jardiance 3 months ago. Tried the lesser dose with little or no results. For the last month I have been on the 25 with much better results. At first I was rather disappointed in the results but the I did figure out the sugar substitute was using had a major impact on Jardiance. To clarify it was not the sugar substitute but the filler to make it measure like sugar. After I stopped using this filler enriched substitutes I was made a believer. My A1C is now 6.1 and I have actually lost 8 lbs.Read More Read Less

Jardiance caused urinary infections. Five in three months. Then my prostate became enlarged, three times larger. Then I read a study that said everyone over 60 developed an enlarged prostate. This medication should be taken off the market!

I was taking Januvia and Metformin and glimperide and A12 was 7.8. Dr told me to take Jardiance 25 mg and stop Januvia. Yikes! My blood glucose went through the roof. It hit 250 and I don’t think it ever was that high. They have me on diuretic with Lisinopril but say to drink lots of water as Jardiance causes dehydration. Felt weak and out of breath. How will this Lowe A1C if blood sugar is so high. I’m hungry all the time too. Jardiance is clever ads and is garbage. By the way I am NOT overweight either. Am stopping bad expensive drug.Read More Read Less

HbA1c did go down; was up! Got Urinary tract infection that took more than 2 months to clear. Back on just metformin HbA1c is lower (may be due to stricter diet regimen following Jardiance discontinuation).

This med hit me like a freight train! About 5 hours after taking it I was experiencing, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, and later diarrhea. I called the doctor and was told not to take the second dose. It's now 24 hours and I am feeling washed out.

I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes recently. I am 25 years old morbidly obese woman, I weighed 139kgs (306.44lbs). I was prescribed with jardiance, my provider gave all the heads up. I must drink a lot of water since you will urinate sugar, must clean the private area with water not just tissue, avoid sugar at all cost! I limit my sugar intake at 26g a day or lower. It's very difficult at first but you will get use to it. I weighed in on my 5th day of taking it and I lost 4.5kg (that's almost 10lbs!) Just follow the precautions in taking this medicine with diet and it will work! It will help you to lose weight too!Read More Read Less

Ended up in the ER, I thought i was having a heart attack. As it turns out, I was dehydrated. Jardiance sucks all the liquid of you, I drink approx one gallon of water day. Stopped taking it and feel 100% better.

A minor increase in my A1c, resulted in trying Jardiance. I experienced every side effect, after 42 days. I have suffered. I have been diagnosed with 2 additional conditions, as a direct result of taking Jardiance and am on insulin now, and was not before. This drug should be carefully considered by all.

Only started on Jardiamet 1 x 5mg/1000 a week ago. I am very sensitive to high doses of metforman, upset stomach and other side effects. I had My sugars under control for many years but all of a sudden they spiked quite dramatically. My doctor put me on the lowest dose and I am pleased to say that my blood sugars have come down. They were up as high as 14. My first test after taking it for 2 days was 7.4 the this afternoon it was 6.2 after lunch. I go to the toilet often but I also drink lots of water. So far so good. For those who have had problems try a smaller dose. It worked for me Read More Read Less

Used two days, immediately experienced excessive thirst followed by urinary problems of increased frequency, weakened urine flow and dribbling, pain during urination, low blood sugar, profuse sweating, one week later urinary symptoms are persisting, no infection detected, doctor said it could be weeks before things return to normal. Side effects could have been much worst (death) but, some people have are ok with it. Way to high incidence of bad reactions.

I am only 2 weeks in with 10mg of Jardiance. I had been diagnosed almost 20 years ago in my 40s and have been taking Metformin from the start along with Januvia added 5 years ago when my A1C went up to 7.6. Jardiance was added when my A1C got to 7.8. The first week was difficult, I had nausea and a rash on my arms. I found that 3 tumeric-ginger chewies or turmeric-ginger tea calm the nausea. I don't have a new A1C to report but glucose is 20-25 points lower in the morning before food, so it looks very promising. Have also lost 1.7% of body weight due to eating less because of nausea.Read More Read Less

Used 10 mg Jardiance for almost a year with no measurable impact on my morning (fasting) nor post meal blood glucose readings. I am going to toilet more often but the readings are not encouraging to continue using it despite I am on low carbohydrate diet. This is my personnel experience.

I have been taking Jardiance for about a week and a half. It has a serious allergic reaction within my body: raised rash that feels like mosquito bites all over my body; the itching is extreme, major yeast infection, the palms of my hand and feet are red and tinder, not able to hold on to anything without major pain, stomach pain that is outragous, nausea, my skin hurts so bad and I know that I may have left out a few....had to use my Epi Pen and go to the ER. That medicine has been dumped.
