I have struggled to find a birth control that works for me without making me overly hormonal and Nikki is the first one out of at least 6 different medications that worked for me. I do get break through bleeding if I miss a pill, but it's gone within a day. Overall, I have very positive things to say about this.

I have taken the generic form of Yaz (gianvi) for 7 years. I knew when my period would start and end to the day. I never had bad cramping, acne, or huge mood swings. I was given Nikki this month because my pharmacy switched providers. I'm had my cycle for 2.5 weeks and am still spotting. I'm dizzy some days and have acne all of the sudden. I feel like this BC is effecting every part of me and I wa...

I've been on Yaz, Gianvi, and Loryna and have had no issues. I switched to a different prescription service and they gave me Nikki. I noticed more break outs, greasy haid (which I've never had my entire life) and just an overall difference in mood/menstruation during my time of the month.

Nikki has been great for my PMDD. I am normally very hormonal approximately 10 days ahead of my cycle. This medicine has been effective in controlling my irritability and anger. Also, I have not had a period in the 4 months that I have been taking the new pill, which I love. I had Mirena for three years and never stopped my periods. I had a few more pimples during the hormonal period however I would prefer that over my irritability. I'm SO glad I requested this medication from my doctor, definitely worth trying for me.Read More Read Less

I took Nikki for about 3 months and I loved it. After reading and hearing so many negatives about birth control pills, I started my first birth control (Nikki) with some stress. When I started it, I had some bad nausea the first day, and minor nausea the rest of the first week, but after that, I never had a problem. The only side effect after that I experienced was minor mood swings. Taking Nikki regulated my period and decreased the pain from cramps. After the 3 months, I was switched to the even more generic version, drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol, and I hate it so far, being about a month in. My mood swings are worse and Ive had a really light period for over a week already and still counting. Im definitely going to see about switching back to Nikki.Read More Read Less

My experience in a nutshell, I have never had such horrific depression in my life. If I would of had a gun I would have pulled the trigger. Please if you are on this and are feeling like I was, stop taking this immediately.

I have been on this pill for 2months with a week laps. And I have head aches, dizzy spells, light headed, nausea, no appitie, depression, crams, bleeding for 3weeks, fatigue, no energy, this list goes on... I'm worried that I've been bleeding for most of this... I don't like this drug... I am seeing another Dr soon.

I have been on Nikki for a year now. This is my first experience with birth control and unfortunately did not know enough to recognize that this pill might be the cause of my symptoms. The worst being that I have been incredibly fatugued and exhausted no matter how easy I take things, or how much sleep I get. I have had difficulty focusing, excessive teeth grinding, mood swings, irritation at loved ones, very low sex drive, constant headaches that last from the minute I wake up to the time I go to sleep, emotional distress, crying, and mild depression. I have been to two doctors who can't find anything wrong with me, and I have had multiple blood draws, with no conclusion. This morning it occured to me to research my birth control. I can't believe that I have gone an entire year with these symptoms and not figured out what it was. I am an incredibly healthy woman. I have a great relationship with my body, and I know when something is off. I feel so terrible that I have put my body through this for so long. I will be discontinuing this BC immediately.Read More Read Less

i've been on yaz generics for years - for the most part i've taken loryna and gianvi; no issues. they just switched me to nikki. the day after my first pill i was extremely ill with nausea and vertigo. i've been ill every day since. asked my PCP to tell the pharmacy to only give me loryna from now on. i don't know what's wrong with this stuff but it's awful.

I can’t wait to stop taking this stuff. I was on Gianvi and Yaz for years and it cleared up my skin nicely and I never had any side effects. I went off birth control for three months and I started to break out, so I decided to go back on and my pharmacy gave me these pills “Nikki” and my skin has been PURE HELL. Cystic acne on my back, shoulders and chin area! Not to mention anxiety, mood swings and depression. I also have spotting every single day. How can these be the same formula? They ruined me and now I’ll be going on accutane Read More Read Less

It prevents pregnancy. But it literally has ruined my year so far thanks Nikki. I thought I was going INSANE. My pharmacy stopped carrying Givani (which was fine) and switched me onto this horrific pill and I am actually in tears right now (not due to the nikki this time) because of how relieved I am to see that others have had the wicked and unbearable symptoms that I have had using this BC. Extreme tearfulness, heavy period, anger, uncontrollable mood swings, irritability, irresponsible spending, severe depression, thoughts of suicide... and more. Holy crap. This pill should be banned.Read More Read Less

I want to go back on Loryja or YAZ. I have been so nauseous and intensely sad since my pharmacy switched my pills to this generic brand. It's awful and there's NO way they are exactly the same. Someone needs to look into this and the way pharmacies are just switching generics like this.

I have been taking this for a month now. This last week I became really depressed, wanted to die. I Wanted to quit my job, leave my fiancé. I have been crying all week. I feel like a crazy person but I know I'm not. It's nice to find out that it's the pill. I won't be taking it anymore.

Gals! I've been on all the generics - vestura, loryna, gianvi and all the random ones along the way since I've been taking birth control since I was 14. I started taking Nikki about 4 months ago and noticed an immediate change in mood but I ignored it and blamed it on stress. I was crying all the time, depressed, easily angered, couldn't think straight. Switched back to Vestura and I feel like a normal person again. Talked to my pharmacist and she said a lot of girls have been having the same issue. We're not crazy, y'all! It's this damn brand! Don't take it!!!Read More Read Less

I started taking Gianvia, which cleared my skin almost completely (the main reason I wanted to be on b.c.), my periods were shorter and more tolerable, and cramps were not a thing in my book. Then my pharmacy switched to Vestura, everything's still good. Then my pharmacy switched me to Nikki... My acne has come back, I've gained weight, I have insane moodswings, headaches, cramps, and hotflashes all throughout the month, not just during my period.

I tried to ignore the bad reviews of Nikki and decided to give it a go after CVS was out of both Loryna and Gianvi. My gosh I wish I hadn't. I am used to the occasional flare up of cystic acne, but Nikki not only made me break out in more cysts but changed the way they felt. The cysts no longer just felt like a dull pain - on Nikki, a sharp sensitive pin prick pain accompanied the dull. It's miserable. I can't wait to switch back to Loryna.

WORST BIRTH CONTROL! Terrible side effects. I was on Yaz and Gianvi and all of the PMS Symptoms were gone. No weird bleeding. Just normal! I feel like this pill almost cost me my marriage. My emotions/hormones were a MESS! Horrible. Not taking it again.

This is the WORST birth control I have ever taken. I was previously on Gianvi for years, which is another generic form of Yaz. I recently had to switch pharmacies and they didn't carry Gianvi so they gave me Nikki instead. After taking ONE PILL I saw side effects within 12 hours. I woke up and my heart was racing, I broke out in a sweat, and I was extremely nauseous and ended up vomiting twice. I will never take this birth control again.

Nikki is terrible I got it because I had to pay for my birth control out of pocket. The first month I did not notice anything. After my first period I notice I was spotting and having terrible pelvic pain. I went to the doctor and they said everything was fine. I am on my second month and realize it is this. I want my vestura back! Or something different. This stuff is cheap and no fun. Just because you canâ??t afford birth control does not mean you deserve the most in effective!!!!
