I've been using this for a couple of months and so far it's great. My mom has been using it for years, then one month she stopped using it and got pregnant with my brother, but overall the pill worked great. Just don't forget to take it. I at times still forget to take it like once a month.

*I don't know how effective/ineffective it really is* I was originally on mononessa for 10 months when my pharmacy switched me to sprintec. I was afraid but they said it was the same thing so I went with it and had no problems for three months. We switched pharmacies and then I got this stuff for free which was nice but a little off putting... They said it was the same thing again so I figured I ...

I started taking this back in February because I wanted a form of birth control and I wanted to lighten my periods as they were on the heavier side. I never got any notice le side effects from this birth control. I recently switched just because it wasn’t doing anything for the heaviness. Other than that not too bad. I felt like it also didn’t really help with acne for me personally as well.

I've been on this for over a month now. No side effects whatsoever. I know everybody is different but this birth control works so well with me. Give it a try. Highly recommend.

I’ve been taking this for about 2 years now. I was having bad mood swings before taking this and it had helped me a lot. I also had some acne and it cleared it up. My periods have never been bad before so not much of a difference. However, I had a huge decrease in my sex drive. It also causes me nausea in the first couple of days taking a new pack, after my period. Overall, it’s been helpful but id like to try something else to gain my sex drive back.

i’m only 16 but i was put on this as a contraceptive, before taking this pill i had clear skin, no stomach problems, no nausea, no anxiety. i’ve recently noticed a huge change in my mood towards people i care about. it’s made my skin terrible and dry, it makes me nauseous when i lay down for bed, and it heightens my anxiety to the max. the only positive things i can say about this pill is that my periods are lighter and i’m not pregnant. i’m not sure if i should change to another birth control or stop taking it all together. I got put on this due to the horrible pain and cyst I was getting and my periods being hell. My gyno told me to give it 3 months for everything to be normal, it was a long 3 months but so worth it. My bleeding was a little irregular in the first 3 months but the cramp free, pain free periods that are normal flow are so worth it! My skins also been incredibly clear and I had a scan done and no cyst shown! It’s great, not ever BC works for everyone but definitely give it a try for 3-4 months. It took that long for me but I’m glad I waited it out! Read More Read Less

Been on this medication for one year and I have gained a significant amount of weight. I started taking these at the same time as I started on an anti-depressant so I can't say what is at fault but I've since stopped taking that medication and I'm still gaining weight while going to the gym regularly.

I have been on this pill for four months. Whenever I start a new pack, for 24 hours I am extremely nauseous, I throw up multiple times and have terrible diahrea, The rest of the month I experience mood swings to the point where I'm just angry all the time for no reason. I'm mean to the people I love, and experience major depression and anxiety that I've never felt before in my life. On my worst days I have had suicidal thoughts. It's like there is a different person inside of me. It's just frustrating and scary to try and find another alternative. Read More Read Less

I suffered decreased libido, and dryness. Back pain, and lower back pain, nausea, food aversions, mood swings but not angry, just mostly very sad. I had to stop taking it because back pain was unbearable.

The Estarylla pill has honestly saved my life. I am in my late 30s and done having babies (tubes tied), but I have PMDD and I was suffering from depression, suicidal thoughts, horrible mood swings, lashing out at my family, pain, exhaustion, etc. I've tried every pill in the book and it just made it worse. A Nurx doctor suggested this pill. I am 6 months in and it has honestly turned things around for me. My periods are still horrible, so it didn't help there, but my extreme mood swings are gone (I still have mild PMS but NOTHING like it was), I have more energy, the depression is gone, and it has taken the edge off of my anxiety. Do I think I should even have a uterus at this point with all of my issue? No, but if I don't have that option since I'm too "healthy", then this is the second best thing. Read More Read Less

Note, I take effexor and have been for almost a year, and have taken it in the past, combined with other birth control types, with no issues. This brand is what my doctor put me on for my PMDD management and I wish I had done more research before. It has one of the highest levels of estrogen on the market. For me, it caused daily panic attacks, incessant itching of my face, neck, chest, and arms, awful nausea and stomach/back cramping, tingling in my legs at night that made it literally impossible to sleep for more than a couple of hours for almost 2 weeks, it made me feel severly depressed every day within a few days of starting it. None of the above symptoms are my normal day-to-day. I'm even having panic attacks that wake me up from sleep, coupled with the leg discomfort, I am less than pleased.Read More Read Less

HORRIBLE. Migraines with aura, headaches everyday, chest and burning cramping in chest area, heightened anxiety, trouble with skin, back spasms to the point of hospitalization, spotting 1-2 weeks before period each month, ovarian cysts,... got worse as the years went on. Was fine at first.

Bad nausea and stomach pains. I was on this for the the longest and always had stomach issues and attributed it to other things. Got off BC for a while and a lot of my stomach issues eased up. Got back on and it’s becoming unbearable. Take it the same time every night and have bad nausea and stomach cramping the same time everyday as well as loss of appetite. Also makes me very irritable, angry and emotional. Going to switch it to something else but force myself to take it currently to prevent pregnancy since Roe was overturned and we’re losing our bodily autonomy.Read More Read Less

I was very nervous starting BC people of the horrible side effects I’ve heard about. Estarylla has been the perfect BC for me personally. The pill can be a hassle to remember, but set an alarm and you’ll be fine. My skin hasn’t been this clear in years (besides the occasional PMS breakouts), my periods are much more lighter, and it’s done the job of preventing pregnancy thus far. I never experienced weight gain, but my biggest side effect was feeling depressed the first month I took it. It was hard to get through, but just reminded myself I am putting hormones in my body! Overall, great form of BC. Read More Read Less

I had severe acne for the past 1.5 that came out of no where. I tried everything and waited the correct time to test any new treatment but nothing helped. I read mixed reviews on Estarylla. It started working to clear my skin immediately and I noticed a difference after the first week. After 1 month my skin was fairly clear, after 2-3 months my skin is porcelain soft and clear. Only sideaffect would be that I’m hungry all the time. But I haven’t noticed gaining much weight. This is a bit annoying though. Read More Read Less

I know BC may not work for everyone and it may be a matter of finding the correct method or pill. But for me estarylla worked perfectly for me. I started taking BC because of PMDD. I would get really bad mood swings and suicidal thoughts when I was pmsing. All of those thoughts went away after taking BC! And my period is regulated, less cramps, no weight change, no added acne, and I think it did help a bit with my anxiety. Only thing I noticed was that I had a slight decrease in appetite.

I've been on birth control pills for many years but never experienced so much painful cramps, nausea, loss of appetite and overall unwell. The weird thing is that the pain and heavy flow started on 3rd day of my period. Now I'm on day 8 and it's so bad that I don't know if I can take any longer. I took variety of pain meds - nothing helps. I wish I read the reviews before starting these terrible pills.

I got on estarylla for mid-cycle bleeding, and for the first few months of use it caused me to get hormonal acne -- not a lot of it in terms of numbers, but I would get one or two MASSIVE cystic pimples on my chin at a time that would take WEEKS to fade after flareup, where I had never experienced anything beyond a small whitehead before. My face generally got redder, and reacted more harshly to skincare products. There was a bit of emotional turmoil as well, though I'm chalking that up to feelings of hopelessness/insecurity about personal appearance, as the acne really hurt my self esteem-- I'm someone who takes really good care of her skin and places a lot of value on having clear skin, so it was a very frustrating and diminishing experience to have these massive blemishes where I practically had glass skin before. After that initial difficult period, which took about two months to clear up, it worked well, got rid of my mid-cycle bleeding... but then after almost a full year my bleeding started up again. Cycle by cycle the number of days and heaviness of mid-cycle bleeding increased, until suddenly last month I bled every single day. I can't be intimate with my significant other, and I;ve noticed that over time my libido has been decreasing as well. Since the mid-bleeding has returned, my obgyn is switching me to Larin-Fe 1.5/30, and I am praying that I don't gain back the weight that I lost or develop hormonal acne in response to the new medication. Guess I'll find out soon, since I'm starting it tomorrow. Pros: little/no acne after first two months, lost about 25 pounds, stopped mid-cycle bleeding, no crazy emotional changes. Cons: definite loss of libido, horrible cystic acne in the first two months which lasted WEEKS, mid-cycle bleeding started back up again after several months of use, and weight loss could be due to dietary changes(stopped eating sugar/dairy, and my university's food doesn't incite a strong appetite either).Read More Read Less

I was using the original Sprintec pills at first but then stopped them for about 6 months, I had no side effects with that one. Then I got back on BC and asked to have the same pill but they sent me Estarylla instead, saying it was the same thing so I trusted it. I wish I could’ve just said no. Since taking it I noticed my mood and emotional health has gone downhill. I get down, sad, anxious and almost depressed really often. Something that never happened to me before taking this pill. Most days I have no motivation to do anything, I hate talk to myself, sometimes I feel numb like I can’t even feel any feelings and it’s affecting my relationship as well. I can’t think of any other reason why this is all happening so I am blaming it on this pill. Will stop it and get back on my original sprintec pills. Read More Read Less
