I mixed mine with cold ginger ale. I drank it very quickly with a straw, then followed up with two containers of very cold water. The first dose started working within an hour. I did experience slight dizziness which passed quickly and extreme chills. I had only soft diet for three days prior so I was pretty much clear before second dose. Stay very close to bathroom, no cramping. I did feel it was...

I was scared to take this based on reviews but it actually wasn't so bad and much better than the miralax. I chilled the liquid and while the first bottle was difficult to get down, the second was much easier. What i did was take little sips and chase with beef broth and then water, this helped the taste. The second time I chased with cold (real) apple juice and it worked even better. it took me about an hour to finish it and it worked almost immediately, and for the next 2-3 hours it was every 10 minutes. then it was done for the day. i drank a lot of fluids and coconut water which helped with everything else. i also ate less three days prior. bowel was cleansed properly and i am very pleased with how this went. as long as you're hydrated and prepared, this is a cakewalk. colonscopy went well.Read More Read Less

Least amount of liquid, you can't get around the awful taste. that seems to just be what it is with colonoscopy prep. Really salty with cough drop taste blended in.Definitly drink cold refrigirate and mix with cold water.Drink through a straw. I drank this way in 2/ 8 oz large sips .through a straw within 15/20 minutes in between. Rinsed mouth right away and sucked a hard butter candy after each time.Afterwards I had to drink 2 16oz containers of water within an hour of each prep bottle. I choose room temp. water and had no nasuea or upchuck reflex. It worked pretty fast for me. Within about 40 minutes of taking in all 1st prep bottle and 32 oz of water(did all within 40 minutes) It started to work. It was not bad. You can just feel like you have to go and you do. It not like regular diarrhea. Its more like a purge of the liquid through your body. Hence "colon clense". You do have to go about every 15 minute for about 2/3 hours. Stay close to a bathroom and try not to wipe but blout and use wet moisturized wipes(non perfumed) Use vaseline to keep area from chaffing But make sure area is dry.If you have a badeaux even better. for me the having no sleep was probably the worst. 1st dose was at 6pm and 2nd 12am. Being that you are going to the bathroom 2/3 hours that meant no sleep.(maybe got 3 hours sleep in between doses. 2nd dose was harder probably because i was so tired, Took me 3 large sips to get down and rinse mouth, hard candy in between. Followed by two 16 oz cups of water. My procedure was at 7am. The whole process was not bad. No cramping or pain. The taste is awful, the the process was succesful. I felt like the 1st round actually got it all out, but the 2nd dose is required. The 2nd dose was mostly stomach bile. Bright yellow liquid which kinda scared me so I looked it up. I would definitly do suprep again. My colonoscpy was succesful. ( and I actually had a light breakfast the day before) Which I was instructed to do only liquid diet, but read that a light breakfast actually leads to a better cleanse. I think that lead to a more succesful prep. 2 hard boiled eggs, a slice of white toast ,butter, apple jelly and black coffee. the rest of the day was just liquid. Read More Read Less

The taste of this is unbearable. I got it all down but I had the worst headache and almost had to vomit. The next morning I was so dizzy and nauseous I almost couldn’t go to my appointment.

First of all, I have had Type 1 diabetes for 45 years. So, maybe my experience will benefit others. My previous colonoscopies were negative experience s that resulted in one with hospital treatment for dehydration. I took one Zofran 4mg tablet about 1-1/2 hrs before starting round 1 of the prep. I drank it slowly, very cold, with a straw. I mixed in one packet of Crystal Lite lemonade which helped the taste and chased each gulp with sweetened 7up. Not too much, just enough to maintain blood sugar levels. I use an insulin pump with CGM which was VERY helpful with entire procedure. I did not have any nausea or vomiting at all. Hooray! I spent 9 hours totally in the bathroom. I read a book which helped pass the time! I suggest some Depends if you need to get up and stretch and walk around. Otherwise, you might get a BIG surprise. Overall the experience was not too bad. I felt extremely weak the morning of the procedure, but nerves play a part in that also. I did experience some heart palpitations and BP was a tad low. I would recommend SuPrep over other preps as a lot less to drink. Read More Read Less

I won't give excellent because the whole process is horrible. However, as someone who has emetophobia, this prep was very easy. I know that everyone is different, but it really wasn't horrible. I put the mix in Ginger Ale for the first dose and a flavored carbonated water for the second dose. I did get the chills and the second dose was a little harder to get down and I did feel a little nausea after the second dose, but overall all my stress and anxiety proved to be pointless. I do suggest, if you do have stress or anxiety regarding nausea and vomiting, take Zofran before doing the prep. I'm convinced that helped me get through this...the Ativan helped too. I followed directions and have to admit that after the first dose I was nervous that it wasn't getting the job done. but the second dose worked as it was supposed to and about 5 hours after the 2nd dose, I was done and cleaned out no problem. It is now 8 hours post procedure and I'm feeling great. Trust me...this prep is much better than Go-Lightly and I don't know about the pills; I wouldn't take them because so many reviews said that people vomited. In 3-5 years, unless they come up with something better, I'll do this again.Read More Read Less

I have had several colonoscopies but this prep proved to be horrible and I almost went to the ER in the middle of the night. Began working quickly and I was drinking lots of water, fluids, clear Gatorade. Five hours or so after taking the first round I felt my heartbeating hard, had a vicious headache which19 hours later still have, and was super dizzy and felt horrid in the middle of the night. I drank more fluids and kept having to run to the toilet. I had gone on a very low fiber simple diet for 5 days along with the required restrictions so was surprised how Suprep starting making me feel worse and worse over the evening and night. Very frightening being alone. I had to decide to cancel AND whether my heart was over strained as I was clearly reacting poorly to this horribe prep and there are cases of serious reactions so I was very anxious. BE WARNED this is a rough for many solution to use. I will NOT do this again.Read More Read Less

Too many people gagging and vomiting here. I had a headache, but that could have been from not eating for a couple of days. Here's the key: in BOLD and LARGE letters, my G.I.'s separate instructions emphasized to DRINK SLOWLY. **It should take 15-20 min. to consume.** These are powerful ingredients so don't overload your system. I thought the Miralax and Dulcolax cleaned it out...not even close compared to SuPrep. Having said that, it worked within an hour. There's no warning either! Stay within arms reach of the toilet. I received a Berry flavor. There's no getting around the fact that it doesn't taste very good. Just put on your big boy/girl pants on, and do it for your health. I'd rather curl my lip a bit than to have a malignant lesion growing in my gut.Read More Read Less

This stuff is garbage. Bitter and incredibly nauseating—like a foul, chemical stew of grape cough syrup and ear wax. Took 12 hours before it did what it was supposed to do, and by then it was only 2 1/2 hours before I was supposed to be at the hospital. Drive to the hospital was a nightmare and I was nowhere near ready, so doctor couldn’t see anything and I have to repeat the entire horrible experience. Four days later my stomach is still upset. Next time I’m insisting on the pill prep, even if I have to pay out of pocket for it.Read More Read Less

I had a decent experience with Suprep. No nausea and bowel emptying was calm. No cramping, no swearing or chills. It worked like a charm and my colonoscopy went well. Good thing I fought my anxiety and did this, because I had seven polyps, a hernia in my stomach and inflammation of the esophagus. If you need a colonoscopy, Suprep is the best one to use.

For anyone working a 9 to 5 job, I think this colonoscopy prep (Suprep liquid) is more convenient than the traditional "jug" type. You only need to take a day off of work due to the timing compared to 1.5 days for the jug type. My doctor's office instructions were to start the first dose at 5pm the day before the procedure. Then the second dose was at 6am the morning of the procedure. The procedure was at 1pm. Due to some reviews, I was a little concerned about how well I would tolerate this prep. I am a 55+ woman in good health with no medical conditions. Although I did get chills, I wouldn't say they were severe. I tolerated this prep just fine. The tip from other patients to mix the prep with apple juice was excellent! This made the prep much easier to take.Read More Read Less

Absolutely nausea-inducing taste. Could only get through it by mixing it with Gatorade and sucking on a lemon between sips. Worked great, though! However, it somehow gave me pretty wicked heartburn and made my blood pressure go up, so next time I'll ask for a prep that doesn't taste like dish soap.

I had the generic for this but can’t find that to review. The prescription info says “generic for Suprep”. Absolutely FOUL stuff. My body is so traumatized I’m having trouble drinking the required liquids afterwards. It’s a disgusting mix of salty and a little sweet but all that doesn’t matter because the predominant flavor is bitterness. And it lingers on your tongue for so long. It almost feels like being forced to down not one but two large containers of cleaner. Blekh. The first few sips are doable, it’s once your body starts realizing how bad it tastes that your whole being dreads the next sip and you have to talk yourself up to it. I drank sips of ginger ale in between which helped somewhat. Cleared me out quickly so I will say it works but I will never take this again. I’ll ask for any other option. Read More Read Less

This was much better than the Miralax prep that I did for my first colonoscopy. It tastes a like salty cherry cough medicine - so not awesome - but not terrible. I experienced zero nausea or vomiting like I did with the Miralax prep. I made sure to drink as many liquids as possible before and I sipped it with really cold water through a straw. I set a timer and sipped some every 2 minutes. I finished the first prep in 45 minutes and the second a little faster.

This is a horrible, very strong prep. My joints stiffened 10 minutes in, heart was racing, B.P. was 180/100, and I had the shakes. Contacted Dr. and switched to Magnesium Citrate for morning prep. Unfortunately, I became sick after two hours. Miralax has worked perfectly my last two preps and will never use Suprep or Mag.Citrate again. Not for me.

Compared with a large volume prep like TriLyte, Suprep is a much more pleasant experience. I recommend drinking each dose as rapidly as possible, and if this leads to nausea (very mild in my case), drinking additional water or gatorade helps. Bowel emptying is much faster with this prep too, and lasts less long (~max 3-3 1/2 hours after drinking each dose). Highly recommended!

Worst prep kit I’ve used in 4 years — tasted like gasoline - got through most of the first dose - could only tolerate 1/4 of second dose - decided if it didn’t work I’d ask for an enema before the procedure - but I was all clear by 730 am procedure - regardless I’d never never use it again - dr told me that he started prescribing because he thought it was less than Clenpiq -

I mixed it with half cold water and half white grape juice and drank it slowly thru a straw. Left a horrible taste in my month so I quickly sucked on a lemon which allowed me to get it down. I had taken MIRALAX and soft diet for a week prior. First and second dose worked within 20 minutes. However, I had chills and felt almost sick up until the procedure the next morning.
