Medication is fine for the most part. All voices and schizophrenia side effects have stopped on medication. Only negative side effects are weight gain, erectile dysfunction and no sperm production. Weight gain can be overlooked and I hope exercise can combat that. Erectile dysfunction and no sperm is a deal breaker. I’m still young and want kids . Makes me not like medication.

My son was diagnosed with Schizophrenia when he was 19 years old. He's on Invega Sustenna 100 mg for over a 1 year now. They tried different medications with him and finally they tried this medication and it saved his life. He's no longer paranoid, depressed, negative, hallucinating and voices disappeared etc. He reconnected with his friends and family now, he goes out a lot now, socializing with people. He showers, cooks, cleans up his mess and does his own laundry now. This medication gave me my son back. He did gain a little weight but he's managing it with daily walks and his eating habits. Invega caused every single bad side affect possible which was uncalled for after a short hospital stay after my family called the crisis line and reported my psychosis. I’ve never been diagnosed schizophrenic nor have any family history yet I was given no option either taking it or unable to be released from the hospital (forced) now I’m unsure if I’ll ever have a life again!

This drug is devastating. I think it destroyed my brain permanently. It took way a part of me, something like my true passion for living. It all started in 2014 with only two doses, and after that I laid down all the time. Then in 2020 the doctor gave it to me again for 6 months in a row, and it made me feel mentally retarded and helpless but I never stopped complaining. Invega is a terrible drug and should be off the market and psychiatrists who use it should have their practice taken away. The doctor didn’t listen to me and was given a false report on my behalf. It made me have terrible side effect, felt like poison, made me delusionally depressed immediately after, I did push ups every 20 minutes, paced the room constantly because of discomfort, my family immediately regretted what they said to the doctor. They didn’t know how to differentiate between diagnosis. I was experiencing PTD from almost being shot in the head and bullets going off near me. Doctors need to listen to the patients more. Certain chemicals can really harm people. I was like that for weeks because it was forcefully given to me and it was extended release. Please try and read a lot and educate those confused about diagnosis and be very clear about your experiences. Make sure you have a proper advocate. Have battled some blues and anxiety while on it but overall it has worked wonders for me. I don’t talk to myself now and am very sociable on it. I have the clarity of a healthy mind!

After taking Invega shot monthly for 2.5 years straight, I have gained 80kg! I am more than DOUBLE my healthy weight, I am 130kg and only 31 years old. I fear my heart won't be able to take this "dangerously obese" state if I keep increasing in weight, which I am. I almost can't barely get dressed in the morning or dry myself after taking a shower, I have issues putting shoes and socks on and fear dying soon if I don't lose weight. I need to go off the medication soon to drop in KG's but up until now my psychiatrist has not agreed to take me off and probably won't. Also I have intense suicidal ideation since taking this medication, every morning I wake up, they start. I pray that Invega and all the other medications (forms of modern day torture) cease to be administered in society. Until this day comes, the world will slow down and people will suffer. I was given this injection in a mental hospital in Fort Wayne for mania. This medication is the worst one I have ever taken. It has been 80 days and I feel as bad as I ever have on it, nothing is improving. This drug is poisonous to the human brain.

Terrible. Truly ruined my brother's life. He can't get stable after only one injection. It's been two months. Suicide ideations is a common side affect not listed on most reviews. Others side effects include: Rage fits, extreme paranoia(being afraid of everything), psychosis, delusions, slurred speech, not sleeping, plus physical side effects. Invega broke his brain. He was a sweet person before on his first gen drugs. Then he was injected with invega sustena and then changed 180°. Now I'm not sure he will even survive. I have been on Invega Sustaina for well over 10 yrs now for schizoaffective disorder and love it. It made my voices go away in 3 days, and they're still gone. No side effects. I function better, and am independent in my life.

You will hear voices from a stranger like they want to take you to a mental health center and also if you lose weight a senior citizen will not want you working.

Ive researched most schizophrenia meds & there are basically no positives. Doctors who prescribe this vaccine should first take it themselves & if they don’t go bananas then give it to patients. It made my sister into someone I don’t know; I rather she be an alien then take anti psychotic meds & become a zombie, obese, unhygienic etc. Doctors making money off of patients who are lost, should be a crime.

Do not I repeat take this medication after two injection it has Maud my grand daughter worst that she has ever been she has spasms can't move her are her finger look drown up .she can't function can't hardly breath sometime we are trying to ween her off it now so her body starts to spaze and she is shaking uncontrollable. Walks like a slow coocoo train .it's awful her face has no expression and she can't be left alone to take care 8v her self or her childern .this is poison and there is no antidote and the drug maker says it could last in her body 196 day with these reactions please pray us that this poison gets out of her system soon the only thing you can take to help with this reaction is Benadryl. I was prescribed this medication despite not being schizophrenic for some reason. I initially only experienced pain in the injection area then shortly after began to notice that I was beginning to develop anhedonia along with other symptoms. I haven't been able to sleep for more then a few minutes a night for the past two months now, I've been gaining weight, lack the ability to express emotions, absolutely no sex drive whatsoever, feel very restless, can't think properly or retain new information at all, can't talk or understand other people as well, food tastes bland, and I have an unsatisfiable appetite. The list of symptoms could go on for a long period of time. I just want to be my old healthy, happy, and productive self again, with college, gym, etc, it especially bothers me because I'm still young and potentially had my whole life ahead of me. I deeply regret not having done even the slightest bit of research and fully trusting my psychiatrist with this medication. All I can think about is how much I wish I never recieved this horrible injection and that I’m better off dead at this point. Can someone intelligent, great job, great wife, with love for sports, always fun and happy be reduced to a ZOMBIE-LIKE VEGETABLE WITH SEVERE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL IMPAIRMENT after just one life hypomanic episode? The sad thing is YES and it was all "sponsored" by INVEGA SUSTENNA and a doctor/family that felt medicine is about tricking treatment on a patient that only needed information and comprehension. Can just one shot of INVEGA do the trick of live destruction? YOU BET. It's been about 9 months since I was deceived into taking an Invega shot. The results were life wrecking and to this day I can’t barely recognise the person I've become. All started right away, severe extrapyramidal symptoms (to the point I couldn't get dressed by myself), severe fatigue and drowsiness, sleepness, slowness, bad anhedonia, and a bunch of other disturbing things. Felt like I was shot to an impaired state. Weeks later felt slightly better, I thought I was pulling through. Then came the withdrawal and my world came falling apart. Every effect multiplied, I was restless, severe insomnia (would wake up sweating), felt almost paralyzed, blank, no cognition whatsoever. Doctor did NOTHING, said I was just depressed (good alibi to get out of a major malpractice). It got so seriously bad, I tried to kill myself. Was hospitalized and finally came out. Did things improve a little? Just the bare minimum, I'm active, working, but the effects are still there. I'm impaired, psychically, mentally, emotionally. I am a caretaker and my client’s life was ruined by INVEGA Sustenna. He will never be able to care for himself again, even after stopping the injections (he only took 2) he never went back to normal. He can’t sit still anymore, he is tormented daily by his cognitive loss, body jerking, drooling, paranoia. we Have taken him to several doctors trying to help “fix” whatever happened when he took the shot but so far nothing. Now working with a neurologist to see if there is anything we can do.

Fair medicine, unfortunately developed tachycardia during use.

Terrible side effects. I was forcefully given invega sustenna 150mg. I experience head tremors. Almost spasms. I have slurred speech. It feels like someone shut off my brain. Even typing this it is hard to remember what I wrote. Memory loss, lower IQ, can’t carry a conversation. This medication is terrible I feel like a shell of my former self. Have been off the medication for 2 months and no improvement.

I take invega for bipolar (i have had psychosis) it completely got rid of my psychosis and ive been in remission for two years. Only complaint is i have less energy, but its manageable at a dose of 87 mg.

It has no benefits and side effects are too many and I stopped it 1 year ago still have issues . I don't know how can a injection do this type of loss . Ban it please.
