My husband had a large splinter in his hand He had gotten something out but it continued bothering him for a couple of days. He saw a doctor and he couldn’t feel anything or see anything. It continued bothering him all that day . I had read in an herbal book that horse mint had the name because farmers used the leaves to draw thorns out of horse’s hooves. Horse mint grows wild on our property so I picked some leaves, bruised them and put the over the sore spot. I wrapped it in a bandage to keep the leaves in place. The next morning we took it off and his palm was black! After breakfast he said his palm felt funny. He pressed on it and out popped a wooden splinter at least an inch long!
