I was diagnosed with SLE June 2018 and have struggled to find any effective treatment ever since. Due to an unusual allergy to any medication in tablet form (coating or glue/binder), I was unable to take the Plaqunil my rheumatologist prescribed. He put me on Methotrexate instead which immediately shot my liver enzymes sky high so I had to discontinue. While my doctor tried to decide which medication to put me on next I tried to research natural alternatives to see if any had been successfully researched and tested on Lupus patients. I tried Artemisinin for about 8 months which not only did not help, but made me worse in my opinion. I had to up my pain meds considerably while on that stuff. Then I decided to give Thunder God Vine a shot. It has performed far above my expectations. After being in absolute misery for many years of my life, I believe I am FINALLY in remission. My pain levels have reduced so dramatically that Iâ??m no longer on any pain medication at all! I can wake up in the morning and no one has to help me out of bed! I am able to lift weights again and able to work more. It took about a week or so before the effects really began to be noticeable to me. I have been on Thunder God Vine for a little over a month now and have not experienced any side effects except appetite suppression. Thatâ??s actually a plus for me since I have a little weight Iâ??d like to lose, but I know many Lupus patients lose too much weight with the disease so that side effect might not be desirable. I will continue to monitor my blood work while I am taking this herb and look out for any other potential side effects.
