I have been using this product for over two months & have NOT noticed any change in my cognitive function or my memory. However, I have been unable to find out how it takes for this product to actually cause a change in either of these functions!

Used along with with Namenda for the past two and a half years for non-Alzheimer's short term memory loss, after taking Namenda and Aricept together for one year before that. It replaced Aricept and has been at least as as effective. I now take one 200mcg tablet with each meal, three times a day, up from originally one tablet a day and then two tablets a day. Because Aricept was started alone with limited success (Oct 2006) before Namenda (Jan 2007), I can't report anything about using Huperzine A alone. I haven't experienced any noticeable side effects, but would be reluctant to take a higher dosage without seeing the results of a credible study at higher dosages.Read More Read Less
