I take it three times a day with meals. It's effective in reducing the urge to drink, and if you can make it past the first couple of days, it's smooth sailing, but you must keep using it. You are going to feel different, at first, and many will contribute this to the Kudzu itself, but in reality you've just removed an energy source -- alcohol; not a good energy source, as your body uses alcohol...

I rarely review products but had to give hope for those binge drinkers like me out there. After taking this product, mu urge to overindulge is gone!!! I can have a glass or two of wine with dinner and never want more. Before taking Kudzu, I was the person who if I had one drink, I wanted six more. Give this a try. There really is something to it.

I have read of it being effective, but also the opposite - but what I've also read turned out to be true - GIVE IT TIME - maybe for some it is longer than others, so I almost just gave up, so used to nursing drinks to just self-medicate rather than get wasted, it seemed not very important to me. However, liver and blood readings said otherwise, and I knew I had to cut back and/or stop. After a few weeks of religious use of high-quality brand...wow. I don't feel any urge to drink, or more importantly, carry on after one drink. One thing I'd say is don't think it will immediately take urges away. It just makes the actual drinking part unfulfilling. If you are a trained wine taster like me, this is a godsend because I can still taste, enjoy with food, and not even think about having to control when or how much. It just eliminates that element. Keep taking it and don't give up because maybe for some like me, it was just more subtle and over a bit of time. Great supplement to be healthier though detox side of continuous drinking still linger (up and down moods, insomnia, lethargy and also high blood pressure.) Two big thumbs up!Read More Read Less

From the third day of taking this, the results were amazing. It immediately lessened cravings to the point that I can 'take it or leave it' with drinking.

Me and my buddy both heavy drinkers decided we wnated to stop and get more done with our lives... Easier said than done. We couldn't stop! I researched tips for quitting and I hit a thread on Kudzu, so I went to Ebay and bought a couple of bottles. We both quit within a week, no needing the alcohol, just hard to break the habit of stopping at my normal drinking holes! Would definitely recommend this to anyone that wants to stop drinking but cannot.

I have been trying to give up drinking. Every day for a year I have been saying to myself tomorrow. I've had a day or two off in that time. But can't go without more than a day. My grandmother sent these Kudzu capsules to help me with smoking. I've been on them for four days now. My smoking has reduced slightly. My friends say I chain smoke, but now have been having breaks between my cigarettes. HOWEVER AMAZINGLY, on the second day, for the first time, I was trying to down my drink quicker than usual to get tipsy, as for some reason I wasn't really enjoying the drink. And after my first can I didn't really feel like anymore. The next can sat in my hand for a while before I realised and drank it. The feeling that I got just wasn't as satisfying as usual. Yesterday I woke up and went about my day. Usually the first thing that enters my mind is What time am I going to have a drink today. But for some reason it didn't. I drove past my first bottle shop and thought, don't feel like one yet. That happened all day until 7pm came. I was relaxed and thought, I don't really feel like it tonight. Today no drink again and I'm not fazed. It's late at night, I'm relaxed and my mind seems occupied and I really don't want or have any urge what so ever. I suppose you have to want to stop. However I was trying it for smoking, and it's stopped me drinking almost immediately. There's no way ( I hope), that I will have a drink now. I haven't had it this easy. Read More Read Less

Amazed and eternally thankful to have found Kudzu root extract !! I have used it to treat a teenager who had addiction to marjuana and who also has been diagnosed with shizophrenic symptoms. It has helped tremendously for both issues !! It can be safely used with antidepressant or anti psychotic medications, and it was doctor and pharmacist approved. Please do not delay in helping a close one suffering from any addiction!

my friend took kudzu root extract for alcoholism, she no longer drinks and her cravings for alcohol were reduced in the first few weeks. Kudzu root helped her overcome not just alcoholism but stopped her from smoking and she smoked for 30 years! Kudzu must work on nicotine addiction too.I highly recommend this herb, it really turned my friends life around

ive been an habitual drinker for 50 years and over last 20 years with more time on my hands de to early retirement my drinking habits have gotten to degree of depenency I knew was not healthy, drinking daily until 10 days ago on average up to 7-10 standard drinks. Since 9/1/15 taking the recommended dosage of Kudzu 40% 2 capsules X 3 I did not have a single drink for a week then thought well I'll try and see if I can resume as a moderate drinker and on day 8 had 5.4 SD's , day 9 2 SDD's and day 10 nil. I am amazed as in 50 years have never a such a low consumption over 10 days and its no doubt the effect of Kudzu and how it nullifies the craving for a drink at the end of the day. Ive never ever been so effected to crave a drink earlier in the day but come 5 pm everthing changed. I think habit also contributes but the over riding factor was the desire/craving for a drink. Its early days but i'm certain that as a minimum I'll reduce my weekly consumption to at least half and still be able to enjoy a social drink within the safe recommended consumption rate.Time will tell.Read More Read Less

I was told I have gull stones. The pain, discomfort was awful. After years of trying all kinds of home and natural remedies, I was told to drink Hedysarum water. I drank 1 bottle a day for 7 days. I’ve been pain free since and I am able to eat things I had to avoid before.

I have been using Kudzu for a number of years. I think it is antidepressent, especially when taken with St John's Wort. Days I do not want to drink I take 2400Mg three times a day, days I want to drink I take none. In general my drinking has decreased over time, and I feel like the Kudzu has helped me get my drinking under control.

Three days on Kudzu and i am taking it as the bottle recommends. I have not stopped stop drinking YET but instead of having too many, I had two and a half. After that, I decided that I was done. So far so good. I am hoping this will continue.

Well I am a heavy drinker. Everyday of the week. Always after work and all day on weekends. I actually spent my first night looking at my drink and not having any desire to drink it. Amazing for me. It does cause some bloating but if it continues to work like this I will deal with it. Oh I have been drinking steady for about 20 years. I am sold.

Tuesday April 24th I’ve decided to write a daily journal to track my progress while taking the Kudzu herbal supplement. To recap, I started taking the Kudzu about a week and a half ago but not consistently. I did notice a difference in my response to alcohol since I started taking it, it’s difficult to explain, but my need to continuously put a drink up to my lips was not there. I still over drank two of the days but it seemed to take a lot longer to get to the point of irrationality where I compulsively keep drinking. Also, the buzz effect I get sometimes even after one drink was not there. I didn’t take the Kudzu consistently, even missed days, so I’m hoping to test these next two weeks taking it as they say, 2 pills after breakfast, 2 pills after lunch. I took it yesterday and I have noticed one of the side effects is that I don’t digest meals as quickly. It’s not quite heartburn, but like the food sits in your stomach. I had trouble sleeping and had stomach cramps because I had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I’m hoping this isn’t regular. I’m going to try to eat lighter at night to help alleviate. 3 weeks - Tuesday May 15th. It has been three weeks since I started taking Kudzu. The good news is I've only over drank 3 times, which might sound like a lot but is good for me. I've drank at cookouts, dinner, home, and a soccer game and can honestly say that the urge to overdrink was greatly diminished. I have not been as consistent as I'd like taking the 2 pills after meals twice a day but the effects still remained. The only real side effect I have felt is indigestion, gas and a bloated feeling, like I'm not digesting. But I have been taking some Gas-ex and that seems to do the trick. I'm going to keep taking it for the next two weeks and see how my drinking is affected. It is not a magic pill, you still make the choice to drink or over drink, but I can honestly say it has changed the "need" to keep putting a drink to your lips.Read More Read Less

You are going to feel different, at first, and many will contribute this to the Kudzu itself, but in reality you've just removed an energy source -- alcohol; not a good energy source, as your body uses alcohol first for energy, carbohydrates second, followed by protein. So if you're drinking and wondering why you're gaining weight, that would be why. Another tip, while I'm here.. stay AWAY from sugar. Alcohol and sugar feed the same receptors. That's why you'll see tons of sugary treats at AA meetings. Give up sugar and alcohol, let Kudzu feed your brain, and you're good to go. Good luck everyone.Read More Read Less
