I have use muira puama intermittently for maybe 15-20 years, first Nature's Answer liquid extract, then switching to Solaray capsules (neither of which is listed in the options for brand selection). It seems to create a non-stimulating sensitization and enhancement of sexual feeling, but I usually take it only for one or two days at a time, as for me it loses effectiveness taken continually. Others report that the effectiveness builds over a number of weeks, but I feel the effects within a half an hour, but as I mentioned, taken for more than two days in a row seems to lose its effect and actually may have the opposite effect. Also, the liquid extract by Herb Pharm, which may include different parts of the plant than other brands, had a completely different effect that felt much like kava kava or GABA, creating a dulling, drugged feeling--I didn't take it a second time.Read More Read Less

I purchased a bottle of the tincture from Lucky Vitamin. Admittedly, I am rather averse to tinctures, due to the alcohol content, and I don't like non-alcoholic tinctures, either, as they are sickeningly sweet, due to glycerine. Nevertheless, I was interested in determining whether this would cause my snake to dance like the cobra it once was. The nicknames suggested that it should. not sure of its effectiveness as of yet, it is combined in a tablet with Catuaba, Tribulus and Peruvian Maca. If the tablet works for erectile dysfunction then it will be a success.

Purchased it from Won with Nature for libido support (post menopausal). It does what it says using only 15 drops a day 2 days a week instead of the larger recommended amount. It resolved that particular menopausal issue that interferres with spontaneity by the evening of day one.
