Was diagnosed with high BP approximately 10 years ago and was prescribed several different types of meds and finally got up to Diovan and HCTZ. Due to all of the side effects from all the meds, I swithed...took a chance, tried Hawthorne Berries 565MG twice per day and noticed results within a week. BP is now down to 120/70 with no side effects. Natural, worked for me but it may not be for every...

I have CAD have been using product for approx. 3 years and so far I am doing good. I take many other supplements so it's hard to pinpoint the particular one that may be of more help than the others.

I monitor my blood pressure daily since turning 55 and noticed over the past 1-2 years its been creeping up. Although I'm a vegetarian and exercise regularly, I believe the culprit is actually stress from my job, which has become more demanding as I'm aging. I've tried numerous relaxation technics which help to some degree. I'm not a fan of pharmaceutical drugs and always look for a lifestyle change or natural alternative. I've read about the many benefits of hawthorn, so I decided to see what effect it may have on lowering my BP. My BP was running in the 126-134/88-92 range. After twelve days of taking Gaia Herbs Hawthorn Supreme 500mg, one in the morning and evening between meals, my BP was in the 117-121/76-81 range. This is where I was accustom to seeing it two years ago. I will continue taking this as long as I see positive results...or retire! Read More Read Less

I have not taken this drug, but plan on it since I am having heart problems. My mom has taken it for 35 years. She has had leaking valves and also irratic heart beat. She is 96 years old, looks great, still drives, (I might add a very good driver in Mass.). Doctors are amazed at her condtion. Can't understand. So I believe it is worth a try for everyone!

Was getting terribly painful cramps in lower leg at night, and would have to get up and walk it out. Chiropractor said it was blood flow problems and gave me Hawthorne drops (10 drops at night). Wow, it worked, took approx 2 weeks, but now no cramps.

I have been using it in combination with Arjuna for the past two years and it has worked extremely well together with my diet and exercise for just over a year. I have no regrets. Previously I used the hawthorn by itself and it was just as good. I have client who do the same and are quite satisfied.

It really helps with SVT (Supraventricular Tachycardia) as I was diagnosed with congested heart failure, later came the high blood pressure. Most all medication I tried, 14 different type, gave me incredibly bad headaches or flu like symptoms. I then tried Bystolic, it worked well, but my diastolic was averaging over 110 and could not get it lower. (Heart average was 168/110 pulse 70). Hawthorn not only lowered my diastolic but also helped in treating my SVT. I have been able to take 1 Bystolic 5mg and 1 Hawthorn standard each day. I now average 117/70 pulse 55. (I take Hawthorn in the evening and the Bystolic in the morning). No more heart palpitations and no irregular heart rhythms ! The only side effect was getting a rough voice during the day. Dividing the two up, one at night and one in the day seems to help this problem. Also I have noticed it is a more of a perfect balance dividing them up as I feel more alert and not tired during the day. It is truly a life saver for me ! I highly recommend Hawthorn Standardized. 1.8-2.2% vitexin as it says on the bottle, by Natures Way premium extract. Read More Read Less

Hawthorne berry extract really works with me.I was having PVCs since few months. Doctors prescribed me beta blockers, and statin.I was reluctant to take these, in consideration the various side effects. I was encouraged to try this by reading feedbacks on this web site. I just took one capsule 565 mg of spring valley and within hour of taking first capsule I felt improvements in my rythm. This is a wonder herb. This is good not only for irregular beats, but also for hypertension and other heart issues as well as abdominals. I have blood pressure issues and tachycardia. Medications cause me severe side effects. Hawthorn extract by Pure Encapsulation has brought both of these under control in a very short time. My Naturopath recommended it. I take 2-500 mg capsules twice daily.

I was taking the largest amount of high blood pressure meds my Dr. could give and was barely at 140/90. I take hawthorn 3x a day and am steady at 130/70... I will take that anyway over the synthetic stuff... Also been on meds for about 10 years.. NOW only taking natural...

Took the treatment, but had come off of Calcium Channel blockers about a week before. Began having insomnia and difficulty breathing. Went off the treatment, felt better later that day. Watch out for interations with medications. The doctor doesn't always check either

I started with triglyceride level of 267 and in 90 days was down to 143, LDL is now normal and total cholesterol is now normal. Best part is no side effects noted! I plan on taking hawthorne berry for the rest of my life.
