I have found Frankincense essential oil by DoTerra to be very helpful with muscle and arthritis pain, nasal inflamation (when put on outside of nose and forehead), great for migraines especially due to inflamation of the neck and shoulder muscles. I find the scent to be very pleasing and tolerable. This is a very calming oil for me. I did not have a problem with use on skin. I would recommend anyo...

I was having muscle aches and pain. I had heard frankincense would help. I took a warm bath with some frankincense added to the water. It was fine at first, then I felt burning sensations on my legs and upper arm as well as genitals. I drained the water and got in shower. It burns only a little now but I will never take someone’s advice ever again!

This is a scam to sell all these oils. They don't work.

I was searching for something for neuropathy when I found Frankincense. It does help some but I started using it for muscle and joint pain and it works great. I started searching for more info on this oil. I read you can't use it by itself. You need to mix it with other oils because it will irritate the skin. The product I bought also had Myrrh. I have no issues with irritation. The brand I bought is call Frankincense & Myrrh Foot Pain Relief - Neuropathy Rubbing Oil and if you go to their website you can get a $2 coupon. So far this is the best thing I found for fibromyalgia. Hope this helps someone.Read More Read Less

I have arthritis especially in my hands and use frankincense mixed with jojoba oi and it works very well. Also take 2 drops in my midday tea and it has eased my stomach problems that I believe is IBS. The thing to understand is that you do not put frankincense on your skin without a carrier oil or it will burn. I started with 8 drops of oil and 2 drops of frankincense and went from there until I found the ideal mix. Always try an area first.

I have hip pain and knee pain. This has really helped my pain to the point I did not have to use prescription meds as much. I am a Registered Nurse and have been in awe how well this has worked. Why am I just knowing about this. Now this is not raw Frankincense it’s diluted with other natural oils. I find mine in Myrtle Beach SC at the mall. As with any new meds or supplements please discuss with your doctor due to potential interactions with prescription meds

I put oil on hip and it felt warm for maybe 20 minutes, so since I have hip pain and thigh muscle aches I put more on my upper thighs and groin creases...OMG! My skin on inner thigh and groin crease was on fire!! I mean jumping around burning pain...I had to get in bath and wash areas repeatedly all the while I'm on fire, stressed and starting to sweat on forehead even. Burning subsided to being tolerable in water but returned full force once I dried off. I had to put Lidocaine cream on chemical looking burn areas on my inner thighs...like lobster red skin burns. This didn't happen on my outer hip areas...not sure it was worth getting burned.Read More Read Less

Both knees are bone on bone. I use frankincense for pain relief and it helps so much. I apply it first thing in the morning and have little or no pain for 7 to 8 hours. When I am hurting it takes the pain away quickly.

I have been taking the essential oil a few drops a day in tea for indigestion and stomach upset. It has a very calming effect. Since using the Frankincense essential oil I have been able to discontinue my daily medicine for a hernia that made it very difficult to swallow.

I've only been using this for about a week, but the effectiveness has been amazing. It has worked better as a pain reliever than any prescribed medicine that I have used. Used along with marjoram, it also reduces spasms along with my pain. I have secondary progressive multiple sclerosis and am now convinced that essential oils are worth looking into as a serious remedy for many of the effects of my disease.

I would recommend anyone on a lot of medicines to discuss using this with someone who is knowledgable about this oil before they start, especially if on any anti-depressents, anxiety, or pain medicine (as I am) because when I use this product, it calms me to a point, most of time, where I am not capable of driving, but completely coherant. I use mostly at nite and/or during the day when not driving. Read More Read Less
