I started taking it because of studies that indicated that it might help with neuropathic pain and sciatica. Also to see if it might improve circulation (studies regarding nitric oxide) perhaps due to Reynauds or some weird autonomic irregularity. I don't usually take it for more than a few days at a time, mainly taking it for temporary relief. It is doing something, but I don't want to overdo it,...

It is doing something, but I don't want to overdo it, closely following dose recommendations from some of the studies, no more than 2 grams/day. It was also helpful for getting off of klonopin which had been misprescribed for chronic pain. But first, do no harm. At that time I took it more consistently.Read More Read Less

I use 1g agmatine sulfate orally before bedtime for my insomnia and it helps tremendously. I'm undiagnosed but extremely likely to be autistic which is why I came upon this method for treating insomnia (glutamate modulation hypothesis). I've been on it for 3 consecutive months without any noticeable side effects and stopped at some point because I didn't struggle with insomnia anymore. Started the treatment again lately because I've had crippling insomnia night after night and Agmatine solved it again. I used to use cannabis every night but would like to reduce my consumption and tried agmatine instead. On the odd night where I still have trouble falling asleep even when taking agmatine, I'll use both in conjunction but agmatine apparently amplifies the effects of cannabis (as well as that of opiates) and I wouldn't advise for anyone to do the same but it works wonders.Read More Read Less
