Dr advised I had low protein, I had used muscle milk in my younger days, pea protein seemed less expensive. I am a senior citizen and I bike 35 miles every other day and workout (pushups and pullups) on the in between days. I have increased my reps since taking the protein but unexpectedly, have increased my avg bike speed also, pleasant surprise

I was not taking pea protein as a supplement; it just happened to be in the foods I liked to eat. I found that regular consumption of pea protein through my favorite dry snacks caused very stinky bowel movements. Worse, when those snacks were consumed the same day I had non-dairy ice cream which also contained pea protein, I developed very bad ammonia-like body odor that even a lengthy shower would not completely alleviate. Consequently, I now mostly avoid pea protein, except in small, infrequent quantities (which is fine).Read More Read Less
