I started using Kratom over eight years ago. I am 58 years old, I’m at the gym every day sometimes twice a day. It is enhanced my mood and taking away serious back pain. there was a three day period where I was unable to take as my shipment did not come on time. My back tightened up to the point where I could barely get out of bed. I am a very focused person when I’m running my company as opposed to what I was before. I was pretty much, the nutty, Professor, and a scatter-brain. Make sure you read up on the different strains of Kratom assumption or four different purpose is. And their effects are true. The powder has a serious aftertaste with it as I mix mine with bananas and strawberries and almond milk. But, there is a capsule form that swallows easy and goes directly into your system. Once the gel caps melt off. I have literally had powder in my mouth as I put the pills in my mouth and was walking around to get my water bottle and it took a little bit of time, next thing I know my mouth is full of powder. not a good look as I look like a dragon breeding big green clouds. Kratom is a great motivator am over 65 and still work out weight training it gets the mind activated which enables me to lift some heavy weights. Remember the mind is powerful when you bring out its potential it controls your body if the mind is weak the body is weak in all aspects. like any stimulant you have to know what amount and when to take works best for you.

DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE PREGNANT!! Your baby will be born addicted and will go through severe withdrawal requiring weeks of morphine therapy to wean off. Withdrawal symptoms are way worse for babies than going through withdrawal from Suboxone or heroin.

Overall, I have had a positive experience with this herb. It is important to remember that much like caffeine, there is a slight addictive property to kratom. It works great for pain and can provide an energy boost. Remember to keep doses as low and infrequent as possible.

Extremely effective for short term pain, depression and anxiety. Stay with low doses under 5gpd, it is addictive and anyone saying otherwise is just lying. It will take your personality and energy away if you take it more than a couple months, withdrawal is like a combo of ssri, opioid, and stimulant withdrawal. Found in 2011 for pain in lieu of OTC meds that were destroying my organs. 12 years later and I am the healthiest I've ever been at 51. The Federal KCPA needs to be passed. This will guarantee safety. We must keep it legal for the 16 million Americans consuming it daily for wellness.

I have taken Kratom tea leaf powder since October 2013. It helps control my pain better than anything else. Also the other claims of causing hallucinations, breathing problems, etc are bold faced lies. It is one of the safest pain remedies I ever used. It is also never been addictive for me in all these years. The Kratom plant is in the same family as the coffee plant, so there is that. Not dangerous. The benefits I get from ktatom are better relief from my chronic pain due to degenerative disks disease, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. I started kratom 4 years ago because our health care system became destroyed by government over reach. The CDC, DEA FDA and othe agencies decided that they new how to treat each patient better than our Doctors did. It was easier to encarcerate Doctors than to address the illegal drugs killing people. Kratom has never caused me any depressed respiratory function, chest or heart issues. I am a severe chronic pain sufferer. Kratom positively changed my life for the better. It is the only thing that has stopped my pain. It is not an opioid. So many things in your article are incorrect. It positively does not cause respiratory depression. I have used it responsibly for many years. Most of us who use kratom are over 35 and educated. It allows us to lead productive lives. We work and contribute to society. I would love it if people used facts instead of the lies spread by the FDA. I have taken the leaf for over 16 years and daily since 2011. It works better than any prescribed medication with far less side effects. If I chose to not take this leaf for a few days all I have to contend with is the pain, no withdrawal. I am much more active and enjoy a much nicer quality of life.

I have been using kratom to replace my prescribed opioid pain medication and it works great with the only side effect being my pain comes back if I don't take it! I stopped prescription medication over 6 years ago and have no regrets, as a matter of fact I would never go back to using them.

Following a job that was very rough on my body found myself with chronic pain in my joints and in my back. At the time the initial solution was NSAID pain relievers which was no longer an option after another medical issue requiring me to go on blood thinner. Then the only viable option initially was opioid pain relievers but they only masked the pain and left me in a constant Haze. But it didn't eliminate the pain completely. Once I discovered Kratom taking it in therapeutic doses of four capsules twice a day morning and night in warm weather and six capsules twice a day morning and night in cold weather have allowed me to live a normal functional productive life. The only negative is constantly having to fight misinformation about it and fear traveling because of the states and towns that have banned it without proper research.
