I use a product called Eargene, which contains myrcia spirits and glycerol alcohol. This liquid is used to stop itching inside the ear. When gently place in the ear canal with a cotton swab, often in a short time, the itching stops. This is particularly helpful for those with hearing aids. I have not yet tried the glycerol alone, so I still wonder if the myrcia has any contributing effect.
