I am a 58 year old Licensed Nurse. I have degenerative disc and joint issues & post piriformis muscle release sciatic nerve pressure consistently. I was told five years ago I could never work in my profession again. I can honestly state without my 600mg of Gabapentin in the morning and 1200mg at night I would never get any sleep and would be suicidal over the pain levels. This drug is a Godse...

This medication made it nearly impossible to live any kind of life, makes me dizzy, lightheaded, and my face numb.....This medication never did anything for pain, (Neuropathy), or anything else for that matter. Crap Drug, should be flushed down the toilet, along with the Dr. that prescribed it!!!

I take this for nerve pain following surgery of a accident at work to mu knee...I agree..either I ama zombie who doesnt make sense or I am running up the walls. I just started this drug. I can't drive after I take this til about 4 hours after. then i have 2 hours in which t things and then I turn around and take another one then I am a zombie again for another 4 hours. It's crazy, I don't want the nerve pain but I dont want to be aombie either ! I also take nerve blocks every 3 weeks. I hope in the long run this works and settles down.Read More Read Less

I was having terrible 'electric shock' pain from my neck down my right arm until my doctor prescribed Gabapentin. It worked quickly and I haven't had any more episodes since then. I take one capsule before bedtime and have not been bothered by side effects.

All of my jerking and spasms have disappeared. I have been suffering for 4 years...this drug is a miracle. The doctors first diagnosed me with RLS but put me on Neurontin as a last resort. I can't believe the relief I finally found.

I am a Type II diabetic, and this medication send my blood sugar down into the low 30's. Luckily, my co-workers knew what to do before I passed out. Also made me very disoriented.

I can't work up to the 3 pills a day my doctor wants me to take. Just taking 1 0r 2 makes me tired and listless. My neuropathy isn't as bad as the side effects from this drug.

Even on a very high dose, this medication had no effect whatsoever on my seizures. Huge disappointment.

Tried lyrica with no relief. Neurontin helped a ton. on 600mg 4x/day. If I am late for a does by a hr. or 2 I know it. The drug does make me a little forgetful and I think makes me snore but is a good trade off for the pain.

This medication did NOT help me with my pain. I have extreme back, leg, and neck pain from an accident and this was prescribed in an effort to see what would work best for me. This did nothing at all. No pain relief or side effects. Good luck.I have heard that this does work for some people and if you try it, I hope that it works for you. All of you know how hard it is to live with and deal with cronic and daily pain. The only thing that I have found that works for me is Percocet and my doctor consistantly tries to get me off of it. Doctors....PLEASE listen to me. If it works for them,Ckeep them on it until they don't need it. Thanks!Read More Read Less
