Just let me start by saying I almost didn't get the treatment becasue of the reviews I read on this site. I am a 50 yr old women that loves to run. I had my knee scoped 2 years ago and am now bone on bone and was looking for some relief. My Dr. suggessted Euflexxa. I was excited for the chance of running without pain. Then I started to do research online and everything written was absolutely terri...

I am preparing for this Euflexxa and quite frankly I am more nervous than before reading the reviews on this procedure. I had surgery on 11/26/10 and I am still inable to function. I can barely walk and the pain is so intense I wake almost nightly to screeming out in pain. I know that I have to try something, I can not continue in this pain and on pain medications. I am a heart patient and diab...

I had a 3 course treatment of Orthovisc, cortizone shots and now 3 course treatment of Euflexxa. It's been 10 weeks since the 1st shot and no relief at all. It is very frustrating because now I have been in pain and limping for over a year. As a result of leaning too much on my good knee, I have now torn that meniscus and have OA in the good knee. It did NOT do anything for me.

Had the third injection 19 days ago, the left knee has done well, but my right knee is still very painful at times. It is still flexible, but I do have a limp. Going downstairs is harder than going up the stairs. Hope in time this works, but so far it 50/50.

I started these shots two months ago and had a positive result initially. Felt like a miracle. I havenâ??t been painless in 30 years. Had my third shot about three weeks ago. Starting to feel terrible pain when the weather changed drastically colder. It feels like it did before the shots. Iâ??m wondering if its less effective with temperature changes. Also, had a strange raction to these shots. Within two hours of getting the shots my upper body was stiff and felt like I was in a car accident. Like whiplash. I had this for days. On day five, someone had told me to take Claritin non drowsy, 24 hour. It worked immediately and all the pain and stiffness in my neck and shoulders was gone. I took the Claritin two days before the shot and about three days after the shot and no pain after that. I asked my family doctor why would Claritin help that reaction and she thinks I was allergic to something in the shot. Thought Iâ??d mention this as the doctor administering the shot blew me off about it saying he never heard that before. I know Iâ??m not the only one feeling that.Read More Read Less

I held back on having Eufkexxa shots due to the cost and probability of it not working. My quality of life deteriorated as my knee stiffened during sleeping and being constantly woken up by the pain. I had my first 3 shots and I got relief immediately, it gave me a normal pain free lifestyle for 8 months. I had the second round of 3 shots after 8 months and, 6 months later, I'm still pain free. It's been a life changer for me, I'm really glad I tried it.

Just had my third shot todayI have not gotten any relief as of yet, now they say I have to wait 6 to 8 weeks for it to be at maximum effect. I have had two surgeries in each knee and was told when I was 21 I would need replacements. would rather just get on with it and do the surgery tired of the pain

I received three shots a week apart with no noticeable improvement. I'm limping from the Pain and everyone says it looks worse. I have had the pain thru Cortizone treatments and now Euflexxa and the cortizone may have worked better. I don't know what to do next.

Had first injection last week. No pain whatsoever from injection. Knee area still hurts. My dr injected me at the right side of knee saying medication travels to where it needs to be. However pain is on the lower left inside if knee just above calf. Seems strange to me. I would have thought the injection would be made at the site of pain. I'll update after final injection. Hope it works....

I can only partially rate the effectiveness as I just got the first injection today. I am commenting as many on this forum have stated how painful the injection was and after. My experience was that the injection itself was virtually painless. I had a small amount on numbing medication injected first then followed by the Eufflexa. My knee did not even feel tight like it did with the one steroid injection. I have been up on my feet all day so no painful after effects either. I will rate again in a couple of weeks after all 3 injections to describe effectiveness at that time. I had a PRP to the joint and it was painful..... but not the Euflexxa. Read More Read Less

I recently had the 3 Euflexxa injections with amazingly positive results that has made my life so much better! I have had other injections in the past that were very painful while injecting and afterwards. Plans were to have a total knee replacement. And postponed it due to other circumstances and decided to try injections again! Euflexxa was painless to me! It's been one month now since I had the 3 injections, and I am so satisfied with the results! If I continue to feel this way, I will repeat in 6 months!! That is, if I need it!Read More Read Less

Had inections in both knees every week for 3 weeks. Received no relief. It's been 10 days since my last injection and the knee and other joints are quite painful. I do have fibromyalgia but have never had the intense joint pain like I do since receiving the Euflexxa.

I last had an injection 7 months ago The relief was immediate (within 2 days) and has been sustained even through exercise. Much less painful shot than what I had before and only one was needed as opposed to the series of three I had taken before. So very happy with this drug.

My knee was painful before the injections. Now it is beyond painful and sleep is only a distant memory. I guess my next step will be opioids if the excruciating pain does not subside.

I was told back in 2010 that both knees were just about bone on bone and the pain was bad. I started these shots and the results were incredible. My knees have still continued to get worse over the years and its just a matter of time before I get a double replacement, but these shots have gotten me through to the present. I get them every 6 months. I will say I still have a bad day from time to time and I'm never completely pain free, but considering the shape my knees are in, these shots are a life saver.Read More Read Less

I have mild arthritis in both knees. I am a petite woman, active, normal weight. I recently had Euflexxa injections which went very badly. Both knees swelled up and the MRI showed the joints were inflamed, the bursae in both knees swollen and leaking down into my legs. I was in constant pain. Standing, walking, sleeping - all painful. I had to pull myself up the stairs by the railing. This lasted for four months, until I saw a new Dr who gave me steroid injections in my knees which made a drastic improvement - over night! The new Dr said their (very large) practice never injects viscosupplements because they see too many patients like me who are harmed by them and there is poor evidence to show that enough people are helped by them to outweigh the risks. I was not one of the lucky ones. I pretty much lost four months of my life as I knew it. Read More Read Less

I am a competitive crossfit athlete who has had multiple knee surgeries (ACL, etc.) from high school athletics. My doctor said it was this or knee replacement. I still want to compete in my sport which requires sprinting, Olympic lifting, box jumps, and rowing, so replacement was out of the question. I tried Euflexxa before, and it has bought me 3 years. I have been having limited motion and pain recently, so I am on my second round with Euflexxa and am already feeling better.

I rec'd the series of 3 injections. I was switched from Supartz since I had already had 2 series of injections. I experienced relief from Supartz faster than I did with Euflexxa but the relief lasted 3 months longer with Euflexxa. I have now been switched to Hyalgan and found it to be similar to Euflexxa.

First injection worked well. Second injection caused bleeding at site, no relief. Third shot did nothing. Ended up getting Cortisone injection.
