Just let me start by saying I almost didn't get the treatment becasue of the reviews I read on this site. I am a 50 yr old women that loves to run. I had my knee scoped 2 years ago and am now bone on bone and was looking for some relief. My Dr. suggessted Euflexxa. I was excited for the chance of running without pain. Then I started to do research online and everything written was absolutely terri...

I am preparing for this Euflexxa and quite frankly I am more nervous than before reading the reviews on this procedure. I had surgery on 11/26/10 and I am still inable to function. I can barely walk and the pain is so intense I wake almost nightly to screeming out in pain. I know that I have to try something, I can not continue in this pain and on pain medications. I am a heart patient and diab...

I'm so excited - a little less pain goes a long way. I'm not a candidate for the easy surgery so when I have to have work done I have to have a total knee replacement. I'm putting it off as long as possible = this really did help me! Just have had 2 injections and due for 1 more - hoping for the 6 months!

It's been 5 months since I got the first shot of this medication which was immediately effective after years of pain, and I am still pain free.

I've had annoying knee pain for about 15 years. PT was helping but stairs were still very painful. After my first injection of Euflexxa (of three) I can already climb and decend stairs with much less pain. I'm fortunate to have cartlidge left in my knee, so I'm hoping the that with the injections and continued PT I'll be able to avoid surgery for a while. I'm very satisfied with this course of treatment thus far.

I was having some pain before the shots, now the pain is so bad I can barely walk. I know I won't go back for the remaining shots.

I am on my 4th set of the 3 series shot. The pain of the shot is minimal compared to the pain relief in my knees. After the first shot of the series, the pain started to diminish. One of my knees is worse than the other and in that knee I still feel some pain when climbing steps, but without the shots, I can't climb steps at all. To me, this treatment is worth every penny. It's postponing eventual knee replacement.

After the first set of shots, I felt ok as I left the office. During the week that followed, I thought I had a head and/or chest cold, since I had chest and back pain, nausea and an awful headache. Last Friday, I received the second set of injections and about 4 hours later, was on my sofa eating OTC pain meds and trying to figure out where to put the heating pad. And my knees hurt worse than ever. I called the doctor's office but the staff knew of no such side effects. After contacting the doctor, his PA called back and said that such "annoying" side effects were indeed possible and I would need to decide whether or not to go ahead with the third set of shots. ANNOYING?? I felt like I was having a heart attack or stroke (and I am not being dramatic here). I canceled my appointment and I can now hardly walk at all. Also, there was absolutely no warning of such possible side effects on the brochure that I was given to read about Euflexxa. BEWARE!! Read More Read Less

I have osteo arthritis in both knees. One knee for over 20 years and the other recent after falling on it. I received injections in both knees...every other week over the period of 6 weeks. I received no relief, in fact, my knee pain has increased, and the knees swell up. I received no followup by the Orthopedic surgeon. when I triedd to call the office, I was told he did not take phone calls. I am very angry and frustrated with the "treatment" and am suffering more than before the injections.Read More Read Less

I had my first injection yesterday.....today I am walking pain free.I too was begging for a replacement but was told I am "too young".. I am thanking God for the relief I am getting.and pray it will only get better. This is the first time in 6 years my knee is pain free..it does have a "full" feeling, but that is MUCH better then the pain.

I had my first round of Euflexxa injections 2.5 years ago. Shortly after the third injection I started getting trememdous relief, which lasted over two years. I am starting on my next set now with high hopes of the same results that I had the first time.

I have now completed my treatment.I had a little discomfort with the second injection but none with the third. I have had much more function with the knee and only expect to improve. I will be starting the process again for the other knee and am very excited. The only time I have any discomfort is when I am standing for more than 3 hours at a time.

I have had one of three treatments. I noticed the difference within an hour. I had no swelling or pain at all. The only think I noticed was a little throbbing when I was on my knee for more than an hour. I was very anxious but am so satisfied with the results so far.

My injections where extremely painful and in itself where not worth the effort, the area was swollen and sore for weeks.I have endured knee injection before but nothing like this . The effectiveness of this drug is in question now that others have jumped on the wagon with this type of drug. I wish I would have researched it in greater detail before committing. There are other more stable drugs for this that have years of positive results. Think twice before you try this or any other of this family of drugs, the long term and short term results are not in yet.Read More Read Less

Complete waste of time and money, no change at all. Entire area sore for three weeks and only area of improvement was my doctors wallet. This medicine is less effective then any other of it's type. There are many alternatives to this drug. I wish I would have done more research on this before my doctor rushed me in to it. It's the newest so everyone things it's the best, not all the time ! do your self a favor and check the many others drugs for knees that have "positive" results in the majority of the cases studied. Euflexx has not shown to be "as" effective" as many of the older type drugs used for this problem, It's just the newest. Many insurance company's are balking on it's use... I'm back to square one...Read More Read Less

I had to wait 6 weeks for the drug, then it took 3 injections over 3 weeks in both knees. Over all it did not wok for me, at first I felt some relief but in a day or two after each treatment my pain returned. I did much better with the cortisone. I also went threw the rooster cob shots as well, they where useless. Replacement is not a option for my condition. I have tried every drug out there to no avail. I was so hopeful about this drug, I read that it does have a very poor success rate though, why try it ? Read about this drugs performance, you will need to know the side effects. Like me I wanted to try anything but it really has a poor success rate. I guess I'm out there trying the next new thing, this darn knee pain has changed my life.. There are drugs very similar to this that have a much better success rate, look around...Read More Read Less

I took the 3 week injection regimen -- noticed a very slight improvement during treatment. When it was complete, I expected great things. Au contraire --- basically, the medication did nothing for me. I feel as though I wasted my and my insurance company's money. I am so frustrated because I want so much to rid myself of the pain and discomfort, and nothing works.
