I am preparing for this Euflexxa and quite frankly I am more nervous than before reading the reviews on this procedure. I had surgery on 11/26/10 and I am still inable to function. I can barely walk and the pain is so intense I wake almost nightly to screeming out in pain. I know that I have to try something, I can not continue in this pain and on pain medications. I am a heart patient and diab...

Treated for torn meniscus & chondral defects/patella...received the 3 shots which were painless (only slight pain that you would expect with any injection). Full range of motion after 1 month, no pain/aching, less 'pops' under kneecap. Very pleased.

I have bone on bone knee arthritis and have been taking euflexxa injections in both knees for about two years. The improvement I felt in my daily function was clear and lasted after the series of injections about seven months. While I could clearly benefit from knee replacement surgery, I feel the risk is too high as long as I can manage functioning well enough with viscous supplementation injections. Bracing my knee is the additional treatment I use in addition to anti inflammatory meds and pain meds as needed.Read More Read Less

Seem to be working, no pain, in and out in les than 30 minutes. Did remove 105cc of fluid prior to the injection. Knee has not felt this good in 15 months. Looking forward to second injection next week.

I had very high expectations for these Euflexxa injections and was beyond disappointed with the results. I had injections in both knees, once a week for 3 weeks. The first set of injections was not too painful. The 2nd week injections almost made me scream, the pain was horrible. :-( It was the worst pain I have ever had in my life. Not one to give up even though I had no relief up to or after the horribly painful injections, I followed through and had the last set of injections. My ortho had not used any numbing spray on my knees before the first 2 sets of injections. I asked if he would please use the numbing spray for the 3rd set. He said it may not do much good but he would use it. It did help a lot and the 3rd set of injections were not too painful. The worst part is always whent the medicine goes into the knee. I had the injections the first 3 weeks of March 2012 and I have had NO relief at all and it is now July 15, 2012. In fact my knees started giving me more pain after the injections. I would not recommend these injections to anyone. Yes, I've read the positive reviews and I am very happy for those folks they did help. They did not work for me and many others. I would NOT even think of trying them again. I have to give my doctor credit as he did tell me there was a bigger chance they would NOT work for me since my knees are bone on bone. Being the positive person I am, I told him there was also a chance they WOULD work for me. I'm the glass half full person for the most part and I really felt these injections were going to be an answer to a prayer. They ended up being a nightmare. The injections not working as expected brought on serious depression and I was a mess both physically and mentally. My ortho told me I am NOT a good candidate for knee replacements due to my fibromyalgia. I wont give up. The answer for me is out there and I will find it. Please be careful if considering these injections... Read More Read Less

I had 3 injections last year about 2 months before a vacation where I was walking a lot. The orthopedic surgeon recommended Euflexa injections if I was not ready for a partial knee replacement. It worked very well for me and lasted about 6 months or so. I am getting 3 more injections now, approximately 8 weeks before my next trip. I recommend it.

My Dr recommended this treatment vice surgery due to major arthritis, no miniscus and a completely torn ACL. Said this was the best route considering my age and the benefits (time) of surgery as he said that I would need a knee replacement in a few years. It has been 4 weeks since my last injection and I am pretty much pain free regarding normal activities. No running or deep kneeling, but with the help of an orthopedic knee brace (and 2 months of physical therapy), I feel fine to perform my normal activities. Only objection has been the shot itself. My Dr used the cold spray, but that was not enough. The shot was extremely painful but the outcome has definitley been worth it!Read More Read Less

I had 3 injections of Euflexxa over a 3 week period. For the first few days after the last injection I felt some relief. It is now 4 weeks after treatment and my knee is worse than ever. I'm hoping that with time I will get some relief as I want to avoid a replacement for as long as possible. Would I try Euflexxa again? At this point I would say no.

I'm so happy I didn't read these reviews until after I had three injections. The injections were painless and I began to get relief after the first injection. I am looking forward to resuming my active lifetsyle. Already have begun a walking routine to ease into excercise.

It was almost to go thru a day without pain and stiffness. I could not kneel or sit for any length of time. now Iam able to get about 40% of a pain free day. It has been 2 weeks since my last injections. I feel this is going to work.

Overlook the stars b/c I am going in the morning for my second round of injections. The first week I had the cold spray to numb the skin, then the Lidocain injection which Burns. Ivtuen proceeded to vomit. The second knee we just did the cold spray and went ahead with injection. Lots of pressure like itbwas pushing my knee cap out.I did start getting a pain in one two days ago as I lift it. It feels like something is pulling. Hopefully the next ones go better. Good luck to the rest of you.

I had my knee scoped 2 years ago and am now bone on bone and was looking for some relief. My Dr. suggessted Euflexxa. I was excited for the chance of running without pain. Then I started to do research online and everything written was absolutely terrible. From the injection being intorlerably painful on. So as I sat at my Dr's office yesterday waiting for my injection I was incredibly nervous considering all I had read. I don't know if I go to an amazing Dr. or what, but he injected me without numbing and I never felt anything!! There is pressure from the Eufleexxa being inserted but NO PAIN!!! I told my Dr. about everything I had read and he said most of the time people do not post when everything goes well it is only the complaints that get posted. So I am here to say that after 1 injection, I am seriously excited and hopeful that this will work for me. AGAIN....there was NO PAIN from the injection even without numbing!! Please don't let all the negative Nancy's get into your head like I did. I will continue this journey for the next two weeks and continue to write my truthful experience about Euflexxaa! I have had a few sortisone shots in the past that wore off after time and my doctor suggested this. He said it would either help or do nothing. Guess which? NOTHING. hurts worse than before. Looking at surgery now:(( Injections were fine- he used a numbing agent before the actual shots

In the past I had synvisc and it was wonderful! The pain of the shot no but I had reaction. Had the third shot 2 days ago and am sick to my stomach, feel like vomiting, have not ate much and just feel like crap. My knee is stiffer than before and I have been getting winded. Thought at first the breathing was because we had a sand storm and I am asthmatic but the asthma meds just made me feel sicker which they have never done in over 25 years.I also have had a headache which I hardly get.(it has been years and I did not get one when I had brain surgery).I will call the doc in am and take more bendryl.Read More Read Less
