Just let me start by saying I almost didn't get the treatment becasue of the reviews I read on this site. I am a 50 yr old women that loves to run. I had my knee scoped 2 years ago and am now bone on bone and was looking for some relief. My Dr. suggessted Euflexxa. I was excited for the chance of running without pain. Then I started to do research online and everything written was absolutely terri...

I am preparing for this Euflexxa and quite frankly I am more nervous than before reading the reviews on this procedure. I had surgery on 11/26/10 and I am still inable to function. I can barely walk and the pain is so intense I wake almost nightly to screeming out in pain. I know that I have to try something, I can not continue in this pain and on pain medications. I am a heart patient and diab...

I had this done. It is a series of 3 injections. The outcome: NO PAIN. I mean none...it's wonderful!!!! You know, you know, there's gonna be a catch. Yuppers there is. The first one was excrutiatingly painful to the point that I wept. I really had to charge myself up for #2 but while it hurt...I didn't cry. By the time for # 3, I was already feeling some relief and though it did hurt more than my usual knee shot, it wasn't bad at all. Within 7-10 days it was as if my knee was renewed. No aches, no weakness, NO PAIN!!!!! I am now...several months out and it's still working. Would I do it again??? Does it mean no surgery??? You bet.Read More Read Less

The three injections(over a 3 week period)were relately pain free. My pain, while I'm walking, was somewhat reduced. Side movements still had severe pain!

I gave a post before after the initial shots. This review is now after being on Euflexxa for just about one month with light activity. I've been using the Elliptical Trainer for 30 minute workouts every other day and I've played racquetball 2X on my treated knees. It has greatly minimized any swelling after activity. Prior to treatment I was in constant pain...grimacing in pain simply going up and down stairs. In about one month I get back to soccer officiating so I'll begin doing a lot of running. Last year was torture feeling like someone clubbed me in the knees after a few soccer matches as a referee. The constant deep pain of my arthritis has been almost eliminated as I feel great! I'm just hoping it will last long term. I still get stiffness when idle/resting but my MD says that's normal. Once I begin moving, it loosens up. Thanks Euflexxa!Read More Read Less

My orthopedist gave me injections in both knees about 18 months ago. My knee pain had progressed to the point of awakening me at night. It took several weeks for the injections to be effective. But after so many months I have not had knee pain at night. It did not sure my underlying degenerative knee problem but has made living with it more bearable.

I am on my third series of three shots. They work great for me. I have a very physically demanding job and could hardly use my right leg due to pain. I started the shots about four years ago. They last about two years for me.

THERE IS NO 100% IN MEDICINE AND I WISH MORE PEOPLE UNDERSTOOD THAT! I HAVE HAD THE FIRST 2 INJECTIONS AND THEY WERE PAINLESS-FOR ME. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT SO REACTIONS ARE NOT THE SAME FOR ALL. I FEEL BETTER AND HOPE THE 3RD TAKES ME THRU AT LEAST 6 MONTHS OF FEELING BETTER. I HAVE HAD NO SWELLING OR PAIN TO SPEAK OF. DID FEEL SOME DISCOMFORT AFTER THE 1ST INJECTION WHILE OUT SHOPPING BUT OVERALL, MY KNEES HAVE BEEN IN GOOD SHAPE AND I AM ABLE TO WALK WITHOUT DISCOMFORT.

Some pain after the injections, which subsides after a couple days. I did ice the areas. Full benefit was not apparent until a couple weeks after the last injection.

Ignore the stars above, was required to mark something to write this. I am having my first shot of Euflexxa today. I have OA in both knees. Cartlige completely gone behind the knee cap in right knee, and almost gone in the left. Have had knee pain for years and years, but got to the point it is extremely affecting my life at this point. Can't do stairs, can't shop for long periods of time. So went to orthopedic doc 2 weeks ago. He gave me a cortizone shot then-knees were VERY painful for abou 4 days after that, and still today more painful than before I got the cortizone shots. I am leary about trying this after reading reviews here, but have to try something. Doctor said these shots could put off my partial knee replacement for up to 2 to 3 years. So due to some positive reviews here, I am still going to give it a try. Hope they don't make things worse! Will update wih my progress.Read More Read Less

I had severe pain in my right knee due to OA. My first shot required draining my knee and the shot. I was pain free by the next morning. Had my second shot with no side effects and stayed pain free. Just had my third shot and my knee is slightly swollen and I am having some pain. Hoping this will go away. The shots were not painful, just a bit uncomfortable, well worth the disconfort to be pain free.

I have just gone thru my first both knee injection, and not anticipating my 2nd. Due to onne knee went smoothly & the other hit a nerve (like in dental work)...that hurt but it was bad luck. I am also doing PT with my euflexxa treatment. So far I do feel a difference not the way I felt with cortisone initially but an overall core diffence in my knee. I highly recomend PT along with the injections. It's not a miracle solution for bone on bone knees (none of the current remedies are the last word) but it does ease the pain. Read More Read Less

I have OA and pain in both knees, but my left knee is worse than the right one - it is bone-on-bone and I will need a total knee replacement at some point. About 14 months ago, I was using a cane to help with mobility and the pain was almost unbearable. (I can't take NSAIDS due to another medical condition) My doc suggested Euflexxa to see if it would help postpone a total knee replacement. I tossed the cane after the 2nd of three injections and the pain was gone! Fast forward 14 months, the pain returned in both knees, but again, the worst pain is in my left knee. I decided to try the injections again. I got almost instant relief in my right knee, just like the first round, but I haven't gotten any pain relief in the left one. So, it seems that the effectiveness depends on how far along the degeneration of the joint is. If I had rated this medication the first time, I would have given it 5 stars across the board. At least I got an extra 14 months without having to have the replacement surgery.Read More Read Less

Sorry, but I regret getting these shots. The injections were extremely painful. I am experiencing inflammation & pain much worse than before the shots. I will never get them again! I was very hopeful they would provide relief & went through the whole series before writing a review.
