Hi....I have been on Lyrica 200mg 3xday for 3 months now....at first, I experienced all the same side effects I am reading about in further posts here....bllurry vision, WEIGHT GAIN - Uggghhh!....confusion, appearing drunk, severe confusion, memory loss, etc. BUT.....the reason I made this post is to share that now, in the end of my 3rd month of treatment, almost ALL has gone away, including the W...

Degeration spine disc disease I am using Lyrica 75mg going on 2 weeks. It helps calm the pain a lot and for some reason I have more energy. After reading some of these reviews I am scared to continue. I did experience some lameness in my legs. I take mine at night. What do I do? Live on it? I am scared?

I went to visit my wife ,who had cancer in Freeport hospital and she was feeling good and in good spirits. The doctor started her on lyrica that afternoon and the next day.I visited her and she was confused and could not carry on a conversation.the next few days she could not hold her fork to eat or use the phone. She just could not function. I brought this to the doctors attention and he told me to mind my own business and he will decide what medication will be given. My wife told me within a couple of days that she wanted to die. When the doctor was made aware of this he said he can arange that, which he did.I am typing this to warn you about lyrica and freeport hospitalRead More Read Less

Was on 3 x 150 daily from sudden onset of unexplained neuropathy for 2 years and had to wean off it so slow. It was a nightmare and gave me so many other issues not to mention 20kgs in 2 year three falls and issues with my memory, water retention the list goes on and on!!!! These reviews have got to be posted by people promoting the drug, itâ??s a terrible drug to be on and an ordeal to get off. While it did resolve 80% of my neuropathy the side effects were out of this world and you canâ??t live like that! Totally off it for 2 months now but took 6 months to wean off and now getting 80% reduction in neuropathy without any side effects using CBD oil which is natural! DO NOT BELIEVE THE OTHER REVIEWS THIS STUFF IS A NIGHTMARE! Read More Read Less

I have nerve pain from a spinal cord injury. I had so much pain that I couldn't shop for my own groceries. I take lyrica 3 times a day. I still have some bleed through pain but I can shop for short times now. I am so glad I found this drug.

They first put me on neurontin and while it was effective, the dose amounts made me a zombie. My quality of life was zero and in fact I don't remember 1 full year of my life while I was on it. Then they switched me to Lyrica and with less than a quarter of the dose I was able to get away from the pins and needles feelings in my legs and feet from CIDP and SPS. I would highly recommend this medication.

I have neuropathy in both feet caused by Tarsal Tunnel Sydrome and have been taking Lyrica (now pregabalin) since 2012. Lyrica is a miracle drug for me. Without it I am unable to walk for any length of time at all due to the nerve pain. I take 450mg per day and havenâ??t noticed any side effects except occasional blurry vision.

I started taking Lyrica about six weeks ago. I have been taking gabapetin for over a year for nerve pain during and after cancer treatment. Gabapetin just did not help me and I have been suffering. I have tried everything!! Lyrica changed my life and I'm so glad that my doctor switched me to it. I had very little side effects. Little sleepy first week and was hungry a lot but that all disappeared shortly. No high feeling like gabapetin does to me. Great and highly recommend it.

After the first dose it made me weird (doolally) hypermanic. Reduced to once a day still struggling with mania, hyped up,seems to have helped most of pain except for toe tingling. People tell me I'm gabbling words, slurring. Off to Dr to stop it.

My mom swears by it for her Neuropathy. She says she can’t live without it. But it doesn’t work well for me. I a m up to 100 mg 3 x a day, but get little relief from pain in my feet after the 1st couple wks of each higher dose. The side effects are too much. I fainted and broke my foot. A week later I woke in the night in my floor & was very disoriented, not knowing where I was or how I got there. I am now in rehab for PT and OT to help keep me from falling & strengthen my muscles. My vision has gotten very blurry in the few weeks I have been here. I failed the vision test for my DL and risk losing my auto insurance because of this. I told the nurse I have to stage down and get off the medicine ASAP. It is too bad it did not work for me as it did for my mom. Read More Read Less

I have had crippling Anxiety related to PTSD. I started taking Lyrica and was actually able to go back to work after 3 years. The side effects do suck though. 40 lb weight gain in 6 months, blurred vision, memory loss, edema. Now I'm just trying to deal with being fat, but it beats not being able to work.

I was on Lyrica for about a month and half. Immediately my sleep quality decreased drastically and overall time asleep also decreased. This got much worse as I tapered up. It made my eyes hurt, decreased libido almost completely, made me paranoid, and overall feel terrible. It also messed with my thinking tremendously. Coming off of it was even worse. I've been off of it for two weeks now and my sleep is still worse than while on it, both sleep quality and time asleep. I'm getting hot and cold flashes, have blurry vision, and have constant nausea.Read More Read Less

When first prescribed I was in excruciating pain in my back. Doctor gave me 25-75 mil to take twice a day. Still unable to move. The pain so bad unable to do anything but go to the toilet. So was prescribed OxyContin to help with pain. I am a person that quit taking every medication that doctors had prescribed me because I didn't want the poison in my body any more. I weaned myself off the ones that caused side effects when quitting but I did it. The only time I Took anything for pain is when it got so bad I couldn't function. This was all before this recent damage to my lower back. I have had to quit work, I can no longer go for long walks let alone run, as I was a runner and always moving doing some sort of activity. Before taking the Lyrica I was wasting away in a lounge chair at my daughters unable to live on my own. Back to the drug...still in heaps of pain s o back to see doc in tears. She upped my dose to 150 twice aday. That helped a lot but still u able to do anything. So back to doc and gave me Naproxen 1000 once aday. That helped tremendously. I can now walk and do things although nothing strenuous. Any lifting I could feel the pinching of the nerve. Still unable to do much of anything. Think my injury is too bad to have a really good reaction to the Lyrica. I have been on it for about 2 months. Side effects first off was the blurry vision then a bit of weight gain but I thought that was because I was so use to being active to being inactive but has been about 4 kilos. Those are only 2 side effects that I have really noticedRead More Read Less
