Been taking .5 mg for well over 10 years for restless leg syndrome (before most Drs. even knew what it was). Helps tremendously. Watched my mother suffer with it for her whole life and was determined I wasn't going to follow in her footsteps. I was getting up so much at night, I was actually eating in my sleep! No more with this tiny dose of Klonopin 1 hour before bed. The best thing is if I forget, I can let it melt under my tongue for fast acting. Taking this drug allows me to live a more normal life. It stopped panic and anxiety attacks. These are associated with Bi-Polar disorder. It has been a very good medicine for me.

I am on a maintenance level of 6mg daily, taken at intervals. My doctor doesn't call this addiction, he calls it dependence. I don't care what it's called, the drug works and that's what counts.

Thanks to this drug, I can finally drive again without freaking out. I was also able to come off of Zoloft.

My experience with this drug has been good until I switched pharmacies. I don't know if there is a difference in the effect of this drug whether it is brand name or generic. I'm on the 1mg mint green colored tablet and before I think it was a different color when I was going to the other pharmacy. Can you help me?

Relieves anxiety/panic, yes. But Klonopin caused, in me at least, after about 6 or 7 yrs on it from 1mg to .5mg to .25mg (finally off it now), a range of other "paradoxical adverse reactions". Sex drive = increased to the point of sexually compulsive behavior. Anger / irritability / rage level(s) = WAY up above where it should be...we're talking seriously potentially violent here, on at least a few occasions. Depression; basically the Klonopin caused, in me, after being on it for so long, just the typical symptoms of mild (or "moderate") depression to set in. Physically, there was constipation, acne flares, and hair thinning/ loss after the prolonged usage. This IS an effective drug for treating anxiety and panic, yes, but, for me at least, after finally getting off of Klonopin it has proven much wiser for me to not use any "benzodiazapenes" on a daily basis & simply take a .25mg (or actually I usually crack those in half, so .125mg) of Xanax "PRN"(as needed; that is, DURING, or to prevent, an actual severe panic attack). Much more tolerable and less addictive than Xanax

i think this is the best medicine i have ever used for my muscle spasms in my back because of a back surgury i have had!

I have lived with restless leg syndrome for years...just didn't know what it was. I take 1mg at bedtime and 95% of the time I can sleep without my legs waking me.

A pharmacist advised that this would be good to treat burning mouth syndrome. Has anyone used it for that. Thanks

I've been taking 1 mg of klonopin 3 x a day since a bad fall in 2003 which caused nerve damage, closed head injury, bi polar, manic depression, and pain. i take it with vicoden 3 x a day and i am satisfied as i can do things now i couldn't do before. my problem with this is lack of sex drive which is due to the fall or the medication. i am 62 yrs old.Is there anyway I can take something like Viagra to rejuvenate my sex life.?

This drug greatly helped me deal with panic disorder. However, my Dr. had me stop taking this drug "cold turkey" after a month and a half of use because of suspicion of an alergic reaction. The withdrawals have been horrible!! They include psychosis, paranoia, rage, thought disorder, tremors, pain and some of the worst panic attacks that I have had. So far I have been off of work on sick leave for a week and I have found a new Dr. I strongly recommend against stopping this drug "cold turkey". Since I have had some spare time I have learned that I haven't experienced the worst withdrawal effect of the drug which is seizures. I have been taking Klonopin for two years. I started at .25 three times a day, then after a year, went down to .25 twice a day, and now I take .25 once a day. Thank god for this drug! I started having anxiety attacks two years ago, and have only had one in two years (and it was a situation that would cause anyone to feel anxious, so I wasn't too worried - did some Yoga and felt much better). It worked from the first day I took it. It works quickly, and for a longer period of time than Xanax and Ativan. I'm taking Effexor XR as well for anxiety, and it's been a winning combination. I'm weaning off the klonopin because it makes me sleepy, and the Effexor is working well, but I am really glad this drug was available when I started treatment. I was really depressed when the attacks started, thinking I'd always be limited because of the fear of having an attack and this worked so well, within a week, I was back to my old self. I will still take it on an as-needed basis for the occasional bout of anxiety.Read More Read Less

It lets my mind finally shut down and helps me sleep..Helps make things not seem so bad and helps me accept the situation

I have been taking Klonopin for a few weeks now and I and my family have noticed a BIG change in myself. But it does make me tired and chasing around 3 very young children doesn't help any.

Least amount of side effects than other drugs, generics are very good, you do have to adjust if you have been on it for a while. My doc said he would not take me off of it because of the least amount of side effects than other drugs

except now i've been on it so long it scares me. how much i depend on this is not a good thing.yes it helps alot in the begining,now i feel it's not as affective yet i cant stop taking it or i feel like i'm going to loose my mind.

I HAVE BEEN ON KLONPIN 1 MG FOR 4 TIME A DAY, I BEEN ON IT FOR 11 YEAR, I OVERDOSE ON IT BACK IN 1997 AND THEY PUT ME BACK ON IT, I BEEN MY BEST TO GET OFF BUT CANT, HOW DO I DO THIS , THE DR, WONT GIVE ME MORE AND I AM SO USE TO THEM, MY CHILDHOOD LIFE AND MY TEENAGER LIFE WAS TERRIBLE AND I BROKE DOWN IN 1996, and i overdose on zanax than and in 97 i overdose on serzone and klonpin, but was put back on them. i dont know what to do to get off of them, i lost me husband in 2005 to lung cancer and i stay in my bedroom alot, dont go out much at all. i also take effexor xr 150 mgs twice a day, please can anyone help me or tell me what to do, when i mention to my other dr. she wont get into it because he a phystartic dr. i know i didnt spell it right but everyone i talk to tell me i need to see another dr. what is your advice, i need it bad,joyce bawelRead More Read Less

Klonopin was a life saver for me as i was having panic attacks and i thought i would never be normal again. I take a half of a .5 tablet which is a vary small dose and i haven't had a panic attack in little more than 3 years.
