I had the most debilitating panic attacks! I started getting them at 23 yrs old. Beforehand, I didn't even know there was such a thing! I thought I was having a heart attack (other panic-disorder sufferers know what I mean!) So, for YEARS, I would have an attack w/out any outside trigger or reason. I stopped drinking coffee, alcohol, and even thought that I was causing them from eating high-fat fo...

Until June, I have been on 6mgs of this poison for seven years. In my opinion, it is given out to easily, prescribed at high doses for too long at a time, and is highly addictive if used for most two weeks. I've been going through withdrawal for weeks and it is only the beginning of what I will endure. Just watch the videos on Youtube or Google Klonopin Withdrawal and you will be horrified. I have...

I am not a calm person, when it comes to daily stress in any situations at any time a day..I am a very bad stresser and worry about everything in my life. i need something that will calm my nerves,to enable myself to handle my every day issues, with stress and worries with no patients.

For three years I have been suffering with Depression, OCD, and stress-related panic attacks. I started to take an anti-depressant but the panic attacks were still at their worst until I took Klonopin. I felt drowsy at first, but once my body got used to the drug I no longer felt the negative side effects. It has helped me to cope with my anxiety, even at such a small dosage (.5 mg twice a day). I am very passionate about this drug because it helped me significantly; I feel like myself now more than ever. I hope one day I can be the person I want to be without any medication needed. I only needed a low dose of this medication for it to work. It calmed my anxiety and works pretty quickly. I also is a pretty cheap drug.

I was having some very serious panic attacks to the point that I almost killed myself and my 10 year old daughter while driving the car. I am raising a bipolar son and also have it myslef. My doctor believes that my daughter may also be bipolar because she has been diagnosed with ADHD and he states that many younger children with bipolar get misdiagnosed with adhd due to the similarities of the two and the age. well since I have been on this medication I have been doing wonderful. about the first week I felt as though I just could not function but once I got passed that week my life really did take a whole different direction. people just need to discuss there issues with there doctor and stick with the program. That is what they get paid the big bucks for. If you feel as though your doctor is not treating you in the manner that you feel is appropriate for your situation, then find a second opinion. I have been battling this for over 10 years now and I have just recently found the right doctor that actually listens to what I tell him is wrong and how my medications make me feel and he takes the time to explain to me what I should be feeling and tells me to let him know if they dont go away. The right doctor makes all the difference.Read More Read Less

i suffer from PTSD, depression and anxiety. i'm on 2mg/day and still suffer panic attacks. i still have some suicidal thoughts, very depressed some days, but its great to calm you down after an unnerving event. also, it's stopped me from drinking, it won't allow me to feel alcohol's effects. it's sure better than ativam, it caused suicidal thoughts and urges.

This medication is so wonderful that works inmediately (once I swallowed by 30 mins). Calms me so good and makes me relax whenever I'm anxious.

My doctor prescribed this medication to me for my nerves and anxiety. I am raising a bipolar son and have mild depression myself the everyday struggle was really getting to me. As for my anxiety, I cannot stand to be in crowded places and that really limited me on going anywhere with my family. This has really worked for me in all areas. I was taking .5mg 2-3 times a day, but found I was too tired after taking it, so after talking to the dr, I now cut it in half and use it when I feel the anxiety levels rising and it helps! Somedays I have to take the whole .5 mg twice, but not too often.Read More Read Less

Still experience occasional panic attacks. The overall calming effect is not noticeable. The drowsiness side effect is motivating me to find another more effective drug or therapy.

I have become more depressed, I have started harming/cutting myself. I suffer from PTSD and Bipolar Disorder. I have never done any of that in the past. I am going to stop this medication under the supervision of my doctor.

I took Paxil for a couple of years for GAD and panic attacks. If I missed a dose by 1/2 hour, I felt it. I stopped taking it all together, but within 6 months the panic attacks were back full force. Dr RX .05 mg which I actually break into 1/4's as needed. It really does help. Only problem is, alot of change lately and 1/4 wasn't doing it, so I started taking 1/2 at a time when needed. Now I try to go a day without any and I just can't, but 1/2 a day isn't too bad. I'd like to think that once I get through my current stressors I'll be able to get back to 1/4 as needed.Read More Read Less

this medication was to strong for me. i have a panic disorder for many years, and one of my drs took me off xanax and was treating me with klonopin, because it was longer then xanax. well, it was to strong and i ended up losing so much weight on it, i went down to 87 pounds and was hospitalized for a week. needless to say, i am now back on xanax and am doing fine. some people do great on klonopin, i just did not have a great experiance with the drug

I took this or anxiety. Don't make the mistake I did and take it every day. It is habit forming. Don't stop it "cold turkey". You must wean off of it under a doctor's supervision.

I began taking clonazepam my freshmen year of college. I'm now up to two 2mg. pills b.i.d. The only negative aspect to the drug is the slurred speech that MAY occur. For myself, it produces a speedy affect because I can accomplish so much with the panic disorder interference. This is, in my book, the best benzodiazepine.

After being diagnosed with Panic and GAD, dr's tried a combination of meds as I also developed problems with sleeping & no sleep meds offered relief: would either fall asleep & wake up constantly, or could not fall asleep at all. This was extremely disturbing for me as I'd never had problems with sleep before. Dr. prescribed 1mg 1 hr prior to bedtime; said it would help stop my mind from racing. He was right! I no longer need to take any sleep medication and I generally sleep the entire night through. The only side effect that may or may not be related is that I sometimes have strange, disturbing dreams; however, they are not significant enough to warrant my tapering off of this medication.Read More Read Less
