I had the most debilitating panic attacks! I started getting them at 23 yrs old. Beforehand, I didn't even know there was such a thing! I thought I was having a heart attack (other panic-disorder sufferers know what I mean!) So, for YEARS, I would have an attack w/out any outside trigger or reason. I stopped drinking coffee, alcohol, and even thought that I was causing them from eating high-fat fo...
Until June, I have been on 6mgs of this poison for seven years. In my opinion, it is given out to easily, prescribed at high doses for too long at a time, and is highly addictive if used for most two weeks. I've been going through withdrawal for weeks and it is only the beginning of what I will endure. Just watch the videos on Youtube or Google Klonopin Withdrawal and you will be horrified. I have...

This is taken with baclofen for symptoms of both closed head trauma and MS and covers absence seizures as well. Due to drug sensitivities and a cardiac condition so I must take only half the Rx dosage of both resulting in periodic break through. However, it has been very effective in the muscle seizures reducing them to spasms and some contractures and VERY effective in the emotion regulation of the MS and absence seizures.

I went on this med after being on Xanax for years. After 6 doses of 1 mg, three times a day, I had such bad heart palpitations, my body felt like it was on fire, I was scared silly, and when I called my doc the next day, he told me to stay on it, yeah, he did not have to go thru the scariness I went thru, so I have cut the pill in half, if he insists that I stay on it, I will just try and work it out my own way, being he thinks I need this type med, that makes me more afraid to take it then the thought of a panic attack, my chest still hurts from the pounding it took the other night, I like my Xanax, but know I was too use to it. But sure would like a pill I am not afraid of, why don't docs give Valium anymore? Glad you others like it so much, you are so lucky, wish I could be in your shoes. Good luck all...Read More Read Less

I can't sleep well without it. I have chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. I had to go off of it for a few weeks in order to take an allergy test, not taking it didn't increase my anxiety, I just couldn't sleep through the night. Back on it I can sleep through the night again

It worked for the panic attacks for a few months; I am trying to get off it and am having terrible side effects including: cannot stay asleep for more than two hours, vomiting, shaking, memory loss. I just want to feel normal again.

After being told I had a Genernal Anxiety and Panic Disorder I was put on Klonopin .50mg. And it works wonders. It has totally made my way of life better and I don't know what I would have done with out it. One of the most effective medications I have ever taken.

This drug will have some side effects at the start but they will go away in about 2 weeks of regular use. This combined with effexor xr have dramatically reduced my number of anxiety attacks. I went from just about not being able to leave my house to driving by myself to Mexico to meet an old friend. I was on Xanax before and Xanax simply does not work in the long term you become to addicted and it is out of your system within 4 hours.

This is my third drug, first on Effexor, then Prozac, then Celexa, and now this. Panic attacks are mild to not at all. None of the side affects of the other drugs except some mild stomach ills and lack of energy. Started walking every day to get some of it back and so far so good. FYI the first three made my condition worse. LOL as you can tell I chatty on this.

I was on this for restless leg syndrome & then the dr. told me to take it every night. Then he increased it to 2 pills a night. 0.5mg. I went off it. It worked for the RLS but it left me groggy in the a.m. & I hated being on something habit forming.
