I had the most debilitating panic attacks! I started getting them at 23 yrs old. Beforehand, I didn't even know there was such a thing! I thought I was having a heart attack (other panic-disorder sufferers know what I mean!) So, for YEARS, I would have an attack w/out any outside trigger or reason. I stopped drinking coffee, alcohol, and even thought that I was causing them from eating high-fat fo...

Until June, I have been on 6mgs of this poison for seven years. In my opinion, it is given out to easily, prescribed at high doses for too long at a time, and is highly addictive if used for most two weeks. I've been going through withdrawal for weeks and it is only the beginning of what I will endure. Just watch the videos on Youtube or Google Klonopin Withdrawal and you will be horrified. I have...

I do not get anxious any more. The only problem I have seemed to develope is that I sleep too well. I have a difficult time waking up fully in the morning. Occasionally, if I am not active, I will fall asleep if sitting on the couch.

i take .5mg klonopin in am w/ 20 mg prozac, 50 mg tramadol and 300 mg neurontin. 1 mg at 7:30pm (bedtime med time) w/ 1 birth control pill, 50 mg tramadol, 300 mg neurontin and either 3 mg melotonin or 25 mg atarax. so far i really think that this med (klonopin) really works for me. Although during the day I sometimes feel "high", but seeing as that is what my doctors want to help w/ pain control (other condition) they have been sucsesfull, if I must say so myself.

Klonopin was one of the least effective of the benzodiazepines I have been treated with for generalized anxiety disorder. It was selected by my (former) psychiatrist because it was thought to be the least addictive. It was somewhat effective, and I did like the fact that it has a long half-life, staying in the system for a long time. However, I did not feel the same relief from anxiety and tension I felt with some other medicines in this same class. Perhaps I wasn't taking enough -- I was only able to inch up to 2.75 mg./day, as if I were taking morphine or something... Read More Read Less

A good medicine, very helpful if used right! I take klonopin for my depression and panic attacks, suffer from severe anxiety that comes from stress..i took the lower does for 6 months now she up me to the 5 mg the 2nd dose it seems to relax me and calm me down, get dizzy spells and drowsiness but that will subside after an hr or so, i take it 1x every 12 hrs, dont find it addictive either, dont have the urge for it like other anxiety meds i have tried

I have GAD, panic disorders and bipolar and this is the one medication I have felt 100% satisfied with. Small or higher doses helped me from things like falling asleep (anxiety), calming down from panic attacks and even helped with a little mania at times.

It helped calm my anxiety within 1 hour the first time i took it. the only negative part was you build a tolorence over time and the dose must be monitored

I have a tic disorder and I take .25 mg of Klonopin at bedtime. It is effective in controlling the tics, but I can only take it at bedtime because it makes me extremely drowsy. If I don't take it one night, I feel anxious and depressed the next day. I wish I didn't have to take any medication!

Been on Klonopin (Clonazepam) for nearly 30 years to control seizures; always been a 'adjunction medication' to the main antiepileptic drug(s). No side effect at all, it's as if it is part of my body.

Ok.. Been on and off this for 13 years ... highest does was 4 mg a day... I know thats high huh? Well.. its a benzo and our bodies and minds become to need more of it after a while. Its a good med. I dont have panic attacks any more and havent had the full blown ones I have had 13 years ago... I rarely have a panic attack.. BTW I am down to just 1.5 mg total, a day. So I think it can be a good thing.BUT Cognitive therapy has helped me manage my symptoms more so I think thats important too.
