I had the most debilitating panic attacks! I started getting them at 23 yrs old. Beforehand, I didn't even know there was such a thing! I thought I was having a heart attack (other panic-disorder sufferers know what I mean!) So, for YEARS, I would have an attack w/out any outside trigger or reason. I stopped drinking coffee, alcohol, and even thought that I was causing them from eating high-fat fo...

Until June, I have been on 6mgs of this poison for seven years. In my opinion, it is given out to easily, prescribed at high doses for too long at a time, and is highly addictive if used for most two weeks. I've been going through withdrawal for weeks and it is only the beginning of what I will endure. Just watch the videos on Youtube or Google Klonopin Withdrawal and you will be horrified. I have...

I suffered for 18 years with frequent panic attacks before being prescribed Klonopin. I began taking Klonopin 7 years ago and have not had a single panic attack during this last 7 years. I'm still amazed at how good life can be on the right medication.

I have taken Clonazepam (Klonopin) for over 4 years. I initially was started on 0.5mg 2x a day every day for a year and then started taking Lexapro with it. I continued to take the Clonazepam for another year with the lexapro then decided to wean myself of the clonazepam and just take in on an as needed basis. It works wonderful for a "PRN" (as needed) drug. I probably take it once or twice every two months and during those times I will take it for 3 or 4 days and then stop and go about my routine till I feel the need for it again. My anxiety has been greatly under control, it's just every once in a while it creeps up on you and you feel like you can't function. It's these instances when clonazepam works wonders. I hope this helps all those with anxiety issues. I would not recommend this drug on a "full-time" basis. I think it is a great drug to be used in conjunction with another SSRI or SNRI until one that is found that works. Once the SSRI or SNRI is found to work, the person should wean themselves off this med and then just use it as an as needed medication.Read More Read Less

I am very pleased with the way the medicine has helped me. I have suffered with panic and anxiety disorder for the last twenty years on and off. I have used other meds and they just seemed to make things worse. Thumbs up to this one, finally something to help me sleep and with my daily routine.

Having mild anxiety attacks due to multiple high stress sources I found this medication to be nearly perfect for relieving these attacks yet allowing me to continue to fully complete my activities of daily living. The only side effect I particularly noticed was an unusually dry mouth

This is the wonder drug for me. I started having bad headaches, mood swings, one minute I would love you the next, I would want to rip your throat out, plus neck and muscle pain aches all over constantly for years. Drs tried everything, fiorcet, flexril, baclofen, zanaflex, ect...you name it. Drs never really cared about the mood swings, Im not depressed, I love my self, just cant stand others. This med seems to at least let me tolerate society. Im still very speedy, havent gained weight, makes me very focused, Im not worring about every little thing that can go wrong and will go wrong if I cant control it. In other words this med puts you into another state of mind. A place where I like to be, and Im still fully functional. I sleep great, Im active, social and in much better spirits!Read More Read Less

I take this medicine due to the fact that i have servere anxiety attacks on occasion. My doctor put me on this med when my mother passed away in July 07. I find it very helpful and works quickly when needed. It is also very good when a person has insomia.
