I had the most debilitating panic attacks! I started getting them at 23 yrs old. Beforehand, I didn't even know there was such a thing! I thought I was having a heart attack (other panic-disorder sufferers know what I mean!) So, for YEARS, I would have an attack w/out any outside trigger or reason. I stopped drinking coffee, alcohol, and even thought that I was causing them from eating high-fat fo...
Until June, I have been on 6mgs of this poison for seven years. In my opinion, it is given out to easily, prescribed at high doses for too long at a time, and is highly addictive if used for most two weeks. I've been going through withdrawal for weeks and it is only the beginning of what I will endure. Just watch the videos on Youtube or Google Klonopin Withdrawal and you will be horrified. I have...

I was put on Klonopin approx. 1 year ago the first time, and have been on a scheduled dosage for about 6 months. I was on a psychiatric unit for a week with severe anxiety and panic, and they finally found a regimen including 1mg of Klonopin 3x daily that worked for me. I abosolutely love Klonopin. It has worked very well for me, with the only side effect being excessive drowsiness, which went away after about 2 weeks at my present dosage. My Dr hasn't had to increase the dosage to give me the same effect, so all in all, I've finally found my wonder drug! :)Read More Read Less

I began getting muscle twitches out of the blue several months ago due to major anxiety issues, and within a few days of using klonopin they nearly disappeared! So far it's a wonder drug to me! I wanted to ask any of you that have been on a steay dose daily for a couple months or more if you still feel effects from the same dose or do you constantly have to raise the dosage?? Any input would be greatly appreciated. :)

Helps my general anxiety and dizziness. No side effects. Been using it for about two years. In fact, makes me feel better just knowing I have it in the cabinet.

Helped me with interal emotional issues. No family support. It helps me calm down. My blood pressure calms down, then so do I. Things will always be the same, but I need to take care of my self.

klonopin is a very dangerous drug. I cannot take klonopin in the morning and then drive. There have been many times I have driven on the wrong side of the road or had to pull over and sleep. For me this drug just put me to sleep. I do not think anyone should take this drug.

I am using this medication off-label as a muscle relaxant. It has helped me tremendously with my tension headaches but the effectiveness has decreased over time.

I've been taking Clonazepam (Klonopin) for about 3 months, .5mg, tid. I find it very effective as opposed to Alprazolam (Xanax) because it is longer acting, about 6 hours relief whereas the xanax was only good for extreme anxiety but was only good for about 2 hours. I had an addiction to opoids in the past, but I don't feel I've ever had a problem with benzodiazepines. I've been on them and off them for the past 11 years, without any cravings or withdrawal, but I also didn't take them for months at a time either.Read More Read Less

This medication helped me with panic and anxiety attacks more than any other anti-depressant. I did not need to take it everyday. Only when the attacks would occur. The attacks were only 2-3 times a week or less.

My Dr perscribes Klonopin during the height of my manic/depression cycles of my bipolar disorder. He said he prefers this med to others for my condition since it plays well with other anti-seizure medication. Since I take other meds, the side-effects are heightened for me. I personally do not care to take this med because of the side effects, but it does significantly ease the severity of my manic/depression cycles.
