I had the most debilitating panic attacks! I started getting them at 23 yrs old. Beforehand, I didn't even know there was such a thing! I thought I was having a heart attack (other panic-disorder sufferers know what I mean!) So, for YEARS, I would have an attack w/out any outside trigger or reason. I stopped drinking coffee, alcohol, and even thought that I was causing them from eating high-fat fo...

Until June, I have been on 6mgs of this poison for seven years. In my opinion, it is given out to easily, prescribed at high doses for too long at a time, and is highly addictive if used for most two weeks. I've been going through withdrawal for weeks and it is only the beginning of what I will endure. Just watch the videos on Youtube or Google Klonopin Withdrawal and you will be horrified. I have...

This drug works but loses effectiveness after awhile. However in general it eases anxiety without giving me that "high" feeling. It makes it so I'm able to function normally and it just takes the edge off. Nobody would look at me and think I'm doped up. So yes it works but its hard to manage the dosage because doctors hesitate to increase the dose of benzos, despite the fact that they really do create tolerance, and they are so helpful to people who don't abuse them, so I don't see why a dosage increase wouldn't be agreed upon. Klonopin does work to sedate my anxiety but it causes severe drowsiness to the point where it can be incapacitation. This isn't helpful when I have my small children with me. Xanax works just as well but without the possibility of falling asleep on your feet.

I've been using this since I was 22 and am almost 40 now - same dose as when I was 22--not once have i had to increase dosage. Stopped the panic feeling, which to me was a lifesaver in itself, never had any side effects. Just enjoy the fact i can feel so normal and no attacks since i started taking it. LOVE IT!!!!

I have experienced bouts of mania and fatigue. I am a fitness instructor and it causes weakness in the muslces and light headedness. I am withrawing off it now and that is also very tough! It was not worth all the side effects and withdrawal!

I suffer from HepC and a major side effect of the virus is insomnia & depression obviously from sleep depravation. This drug is the only one to date ive found that finally allows me to sleep at least 6hrs. Without it i can go as long as 5 days with no sleep leading to bouts of suicidal feelings out of hopelessness & fatigue. Its two downsides are its not good for my liver & one gets used to it very quickly leading to a necessary increase to still sleep. There is no magical pill out there all have disadvantages.Read More Read Less

My Doctor prescribed this and It is HELL to get off of it. I ran out and called in for a refill. My MD will not refill it untill I see him for a simple "med check up" All I ever say is fine and he writes the RX. This time it is three weeks away and I am going through sever withdrawal symptoms. I have been on this drug for over five years and don't recommend it. STAY OFF OF IT. I think it should only be available for a very short term use.

This medication is terrible. I took it for one day. right before bed and the results were terrilble. I woke up and preceeded to throw-up and have the spins for several days. The dizziness that I had was enough to want to die. It is now 3 days later and the drug effects are still lingering. Worst reaction to any medicine that I have ever had. The doctors think that it caused me to develop vertigo.

This drug is highly addictive! Drs. hand it out like it's candy. It made my panic disorder worse because I became dependant on it. I'm now starting the withdrawal process which is worse that dealing with the panic disorder.
