I had the most debilitating panic attacks! I started getting them at 23 yrs old. Beforehand, I didn't even know there was such a thing! I thought I was having a heart attack (other panic-disorder sufferers know what I mean!) So, for YEARS, I would have an attack w/out any outside trigger or reason. I stopped drinking coffee, alcohol, and even thought that I was causing them from eating high-fat fo...

Until June, I have been on 6mgs of this poison for seven years. In my opinion, it is given out to easily, prescribed at high doses for too long at a time, and is highly addictive if used for most two weeks. I've been going through withdrawal for weeks and it is only the beginning of what I will endure. Just watch the videos on Youtube or Google Klonopin Withdrawal and you will be horrified. I have...

i tend to build up a tolerance, but i dont find myself to be addicted to it. i only use it when i absolutely have to, and thats how i keep from being addicted. its a great medicine for anxiety, and it also helps with my stomach problems. i recommend it. just watch how much you take and how often you take it.

I WAS PRESCRIBED THIS TO HELP RELAX FROM ANXIETY DISORDER. IT SEEMS TO WORK FOR ANXIETY BUT NOT FOR BEING "UP-SET". MY PHYSICIAN WANTS ME TO TAKE 3 PILLS EVERY 8 HOURS NO MATTER WHAT! IS THIS HOW IT SHOULD BE TAKEN? OR WOULD THIS CAUSE ME TO BECOME ADDICTIVE LIKE THE PHARMACIST TOLD ME? MY PHYSICIAN IS VERY YOUNG BUT I DO NOT KNOW WHO TO FOLLOW: THE OLD EXPERIENCED HISPANIC PHARMACIST OR A YOUNG HISPANIC PHYSICIAN? WHO WOULD KNOW MORE ABOUT MEDICATIONS?

I agree that this medication works great for panic attacks / anxiety. BUT, when I was given it, I had no idea that is is sooo addictive. I've now been on it for over 15 years and now HAVE to have it. It should of been named CRACKOPIN!!!!

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICATION. I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICATION. I TOOK IT FOR FIVE YEARS. ALL IT DID WAS LAND ME INTO A DETOX FACILITY AND TWO DUI'S. IT IS TO ADDICTING AND ONCE YOU GET ADDICTED AND THE DOCTOR LOWERS YOUR DOSE BECAUSE HE NOWS YOU ARE ADDICTED YOU WILL BEGIN TO FIND OTHER WAYS TO DEAL WITH PANIC ATTACKS. FOR ME IT WAS ALCOHOL. WHATS SO BAD ABOUT IT IS THAT I AM A NORMAL HUMAN BEING. I WORK FROM DAYLIGHT TO DARK AND THE ONLY THING KLONOPIN HAS DONE FOR ME IS TAKE MY DRIVERS LICENSE AWAY FOR FIVE YEARS. THE BEST WAY TO DEAL WITH PANIC ATTACKS IS TO DEAL WITH THE THINGS THAT ACTUALLY GIVE YOU A PANIC ATTACK. ALLOT OF PEOPLE WILL WORK THEMSELVES INTO A PANIC ATTACK BECAUSE THEY ARE ACTUALLY THINKING ABOUT A PANIC ATTAK. THE MORE YOU THINK ABOUT THEM THE MORE PANIC ATTACKS YOU WILL ACTUALLY HAVE. IN MY OPINION A PSHYCOLOGIST IS THE BEST MEDICINE FOR PANIC DISORDER.Read More Read Less

This medication is like a lightswitch for me. When I take it my mood improves along with ability to handle stress. I have mixed feeling on this, I like that it makes me happier but I don't like that it takes a medication to make me a happier person.

I took this drug for over a year with the doses continually needing to be increased because the level of effectiveness kept decreasing. When I was taken off of it, my body responded horribly and I was kept in bed for over a week. In my opinion, not worth it. There are much better medications out there.

I take 1mg. of clonazepam about an hour before I go to bed as needed to help me sleep. I suffer from racing thoughts that prevent me from sleeping, and this relaxes me just enough that I can sleep soundly through the night. I don't get groggy or feel drunk while taking this medication. I usually have no after-efffects in the morning when I wake up, though occasionally it may take an hour or so to completely wake up.

This does not work as well as my Xanax, but the DR> won't give me that anymore. He said it is to addictive. As I read I see that Klonopin is addictive too. I use this everyday for anxiety and as needed, wafers for panic attacks that are bad.

My doctor put me on klonopin a few years ago and have been doing great. I calso take Zoloft. I went into the hospital for Rocky Mt fever and did not take any medicine for several days. Big mistake. I'll not do that again. Started back on them and things going great again. I have a rash but could be from Rocky Mt fever?
